I bought it new in 2000 (same colorway) and it has been the best bike in my life. I sold it in 2005 and this has THE mistake in my life. Max speed has been 295 KM/h on a German highway. Perfect handling, no negative rememberings.
I've got a c2. Defo underrated bike. I would suggest changing the front calipers to a nissin 4 pot. Better bite. The 6 pots feel soft and need alot of cleaning to stop pistons sticking.
Do the 4 pods just bolt on or do you have to make any changes nto the rotor etc? You're talking about the golden 4 pod nissins of the last model, right?
I have a C2 also. Brakes are fine with Goodridge steel braided lines (2-line setup instead of 3) and Ferodo sintered pads plus Michelin tires which enhance braking.
I have a og 95 zx-9r and it's still my favorite sport bike in the fleet these were way ahead of there time and still run with the super sports of today
I’ve had 3 of these and I was killing all the newest 1000s in 2010 . I don’t know how but I promise you I was and I raced a lot of different ones . To say the least every one I raced was shocked and mad 😡 lol😂
I have a F1 2002 model. Man I didn’t think someone would have a zx9r that looks brand new like mine. I got lucky and bought mine from someone that took care of it. Only had 9,800 miles on it when I bought it last may. It’s nice to know there’s another one out there taken care of. I hate seeing 9s that are all beat up.
Last of a dying breed.. Very hard to find clean like this anymore! Glad you have one also! These bikes ride amazing in my opinion. Very powerful bike also! I feel this zx9r is more powerful than my 1999 Yamaha R1
@@BraapEffex I wouldn’t doubt it. I think the 9s and same year R1s are neck and neck. Definitely impressive considering 100cc less. I’m about to re jett mine for my exhaust. Can’t wait to see how much it gains. I’m assuming you’re from the US as well. What state are you from man? I’m in Illinois.
I have the blue 2000 E1, awesome bikes! I'm not a fan of all the chromed parts and frame on yours tbh, clearly been restored to some extent and looks mint. I hate that people refer to these as a touring bike, 100% not, 100% ballistic sports bike, just more comfortable than most others. I went from a sports tourer style bike to this (2008 ER6f (aka Ninja 650r)), 'very' bent over in comparison, even mine that had Renthal ultra low bars that I fitted.
I own a b3, and share the same love for this bike! When I go on throttle, she always make me feel speachless haha. Congrats for the care with yours dude!! Amazing
I have a ZX9R 2003. 4 pot brakes. Black tail unit. Green with green wheels. It's a fearsome machine. The engine sounds so angry. The chassis can contain it though. It's not a totally insane animal. You can control it to a degree. On the roads you can't get near the 7000 rev line without getting into double figures. It's an occasional ride, agreed you could tour easily, but it's slightly at odds with the bike Be afraid, very afraid.
I’ve got this e1 in the same colour. Great bike. I’ve had it since 2007 and been to Italy twice on it from Scotland. I’d describe it as a sports tourer .
Still have? Whats the # that you would feel comfortable selling? Im looking at a 1999 x9r soon, hes asking $3,900 which I think is high although it has just under 5,000 original miles. Let me know. Thanks!
bike is super fine~!! got me one too, but some dork thought he would chop it up and make a cafe' racer...but yeah, stripped it down no fairings, need at least 2 buckets of TLC LOL, But, other than that seems to be intact as far as the engine and swingarms, no chain, so, quick question if I may, mine has the gold rims and other hardware shock-works, I cannot seem to find a 2000X900R with gold rims, and the haven't been painted it is a factory powder coatings..can you advise me as to the specific model or addition? And, do you know of any 4 split header exhaust system? nothing like that open sound you can hear every cylinder hit...anyway, hope mine looks close to yours when I'm done~!
I had this a 2000 brand new. Lovely bike strong engine. Comfy ride too. I miss it. I bought a R1 since all the reviews said it was better. I was wrong. I missed by zed. I had an m4 slip on and a Ivans jet kit I had installed. I sold it to this dude who put lights on it flashing and it was stolen. SUCKS
your right thats a beatifull bike. Mines naked with a cbr nose and cyclops light one-sided dual exhaust 99 last year carburated. Would prib do 180 from 120 to 160 is instant breather. Once tuned right it became a mean beast flat black def not as nice looking but probably keep it forever.
Not a chrome fan fine for harleys but rather have aluminum look but love these models kawis, drop the stock pegs get some fine rearsets and she is ready to strafe some curves.
I'm pretty certain the E series came stock with 190 rear tyre. I have 2 E2 bikes and they're both 190's. Check the tyre inflation sticker for the data if you still have it.
Did you have to do anything different in the winter with the carburetor? I'm looking at buying a '00 ZX-9 but I live at about 7,000 foot elevation - our winters get colder than a well-diggers ass. Won't have indoor storage - any suggestions?

I have always liked the ZX9R. Great fast bikes. My first sportbike was a 1996 ZX7R. I have been a fan ever since.
Nice 2000 bro I have a black 2001 that I've had for 5 years and I love it
Thanks, gotta love the zx9r 💯

@@camerongonzalez3990 Yeah I agree with you on that. I'm in Pennsylvania by the way 👍 I'll post up a riding video soon 👍
@@BraapEffex sounds good. Ride safe. Hopefully the weather warms up soon.

Super clean bike! I had a 2000 Ninja ZX-6R, little brother to the ZX-9R. I went with Muzzys titanium bolt-on exhaust. It sounded so sweet!
I own a b3, and share the same love for this bike! When I go on throttle, she always make me feel speachless haha. Congrats for the care with yours dude!! Amazing
I just picked up a B4 for 500 that is getting a full restore. I love these old bikes.
What’s the right price you’d let it go for? Did you ever sell it?

Love this bike i own the same bike i love it same year and everything
Just bought one for 500$ wish it looked this good 😢! Plan on restoring it tho
I miss my old zx9. But the 1st gear would pop out and I had to let it go. Dyno tested at 115 hp.
First sportbike was an 03! I miss the shit out of it.
Is $4k a good price for one of these?
That ZX9R looks absolutely minty !
Take good care of it. They're getting harder to find in good nick these days.
you swapped the original titanium exhaust for this cheap looking chimney ??
I’ve got a 08/99 model same as this but not polished frame
I sold mine. Regrets
Check out Cedric howell ZX 900r all original you're missing the chain guard and the original turn signals in the front but still that is a nice bike 👍
Yust bought one for $500 us with only 2,000 miles on it 💯💪🏻
Did you sell this bike?

There 6 piston calipers thought id say
I have one mint exactly the same
Not keen on all that polishing on the frame and stuff. Leave that chrome look to Harley owners.
No one pays attention these days. Hit the throttle at lights
ALL THE FUN WITHOUT THE TEC more arwsome
😈
Check out my build of my c1 ahead of the time they were
Apparently it's a touring bike 🤣🤣
He must have metal support rods in his back 😅 and four arms!
You know
OMG DAT BABY SOUNDS SEXYYYYYY
I have an 02 zx9r and she still turns HEADS
