Man, you are brave! a mule named Skidmark? ah heck no. ha ha. Although the story of these rides says there have been ZERO incidents since it's inception in the late 1880's

I never realized that the Bright Angel trail is so rugged with holes and rocks. I have only seen it as it starts off from the rim. My legs would never take the punishment. I often thought of taking the mule train. The mules are awesome. Thanks for posting, this was well done.

@@tagyouritification it's really fun and most definitely safe, mules are very sure footed animals even more so than horses. They will move fine, its just that some people have trouble getting them to start moving because they are to gentle and scaced. You really have to kick them or give them a little whip with the back of the reins to start movin but after that its very enjoyable.

The rentals averaged was $500 or maybe $600 for two bedrooms per month...now fifteen hundred or even a lot higher in some areas, the average home sold for $100,000 or less, but same those homes now $800,000 or a few millions depending where at.... the McDonald’s sold their so called Big Mac... it was about five inches across and four inches tall for less than a dollar each, now they still called it Big Mac but they actually a tiny burgers but the price is around two and half or three dollars.... those are just a few examples to refreshing your memories. I better stop now, before some jerks will complain about my English.....

I get vertigo just watching ! They have mule trails like this all round Sicily, but not this dangerous. Owned horses for years, one of these things I enjoy most is the feeling of being in nature and at peace with the world. Hard to vicariously enjoy this with the music.

@Ken Hofer Ahww Ken, leave him alone. He's probably a City Slicker Millennial who doesn't know his A$$ from a hole in the ground. Don't worry, that type is always the first to go in a disaster.
