I did the Mule ride in 1989 but only to Plateau Point and back - incredible experience, and when I arrived back at the Grand Canyon Village I had what I still believe to be the best Coke float I’ve ever had..😋! LLAP 🖖!

This is a fkd up practice anyone over like 120 lbs shouldn't be allowed to ride a donkey and they are often mistreated And not given proper food or water. They're also beaten and abused until they're literally worked to death. I saw a video of a fatass 250lb where the donkey collapsed & was beaten by sticks in its face until it tried to get up. It couldn't so they poked his eyes and broke his tail. Fk these... just walk like a normal person

I did this trip to the phantom ranch about 20 years ago. What an awesome experience and amazing views. And that river water was the coldest water I every felt.

why i am feeling like my heart is in my hand while i watching this on my phone lol this trip is not for the faint hearted and animals are sensitive if you are scared chances are they will be too. This one trip if i ever visit i might not take 😂🙈

Yes I was on one of does Mule outing. And I was Appalled about the treatment the Mules had, been treated by the caregivers one mule was laying on the ground Colligan and there was nothing done about it. Source in the mouth from people pulling on them constantly. It Hunted me for a long time. 😪👎

I'll only go on one of these tours with a parachute strapped to my back just in case.

Thank you for sharing this video with us!!!! We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon at some point. I’ve wondered about the mule rides offered at the Canyon, but never knew anyone who had tried it. Now I have a sense of what it’s like. It is an absolutely gorgeous trail!!! The mules are incredible, wondered how many times they’ve gone up and down those trails. They sure are sure-footed! Maybe I’ll muster up enough nerve to try it 🥴

Such natural beauty and mystical (almost mythical) terrain! One might even say Mythtical!

I've wanted to do this for a long time but I have a very healthy fear of heights. This video gave me so many visceral gut reactions, I'm not sure I could do it. I'd have to constantly remind myself "Trust the mule. Just trust the mule." And I'd be so nervous the entire ride, I probably wouldn't enjoy myself.

Me and my 3 boys went to the Grand Canyon in 1986 and road the mules to the bottom. It was a great experience. It was a little scary .
