      @@charlievaughan1308 why would it be peaceful,have atheists and agnostics never caused wars and destruction??people need to respect and understand differences,faith is not the problem,also as for proof,look at what islam can prevent from taking place if followed correctly,issues caused by alcohol,promiscuity,racism etc would be eradicated,despite the prevention if offences are committed then there is law and order to deal with it,look at the scriptures,which is the most authentic and true,taken from the original sources,what type of society did it establish and maintain,be truthful and you will only come to islam,regardless of hate truth always prevails

    As a Qatari/Algerian Muslim living now in the West, I must profess my immense gratitude to Sheikh Asrar Rashid for this masterpiece and many of his other brilliant works and endeavours, that have helped me combat my doubts over the years and have made me firm upon my beliefs in Islam, and in particular the orthodox Sunni tradition. Sheikh Asrar is an absolutely underrated scholar and treasure to the muslims living here in the West - I ask Allah to bless him, give him a long life and assist him in his many services to the Ummah. Thank you Sir Paul Williams, I am a regular viewer of your channel and I was absolutely delighted to see a discussion with the honourable Sheikh.

      They who have ears to hear, let them hear:
      Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
      I tell ye, truly, Jesus of Nazareth is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. He is the anointed one, for he is, Jesus Christ. God the Father has raised him from the dead; who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God! Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
      Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by him. They who believe and are baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved; but they who believe not shall be damned. For they who believe not on him, shall die in their sins!
      I tell ye now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
      There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!

      It's supposed to be answering atheism? So, does it present any evidence that his god is actually real? Because that's why _I'm_ an atheist. I have yet to see even *one* piece of good evidence, specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself, that _any_ god is real and _any_ religion is actually true.
      But maybe you're not that far in the book yet? Well, please reply when you get to a part with evidence. Thanks!

    • @01TheAhad
      @01TheAhad ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Bill Garthright 6. Surely for those who have disbelieved, it is all the same whether you warn them or you warn them not: they do not believe.
      7. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing; and on their eyes there is a covering, and for them awaits a mighty punishment
      17. Their situation is like that of a man who kindles a fire, and when it illuminates everything around him, Allah takes away their lights and leaves them in layers of darkness, so that they see nothing.
      18. Deaf, dumb and blind, they shall not return (Surah Baqarah)
      I think this reply is enough for you from The Quran. The evidence is all around me, and I don't need any proof for Allah's existence. No matter what evidence is produced to you lot, you will not believe because of your arrogance. So let's move on.. to you your beliefs and to me is my faith.

      So,... _nothing,_ then? Not even *one* piece of good evidence? Why is *one* always too much to ask? Well, that's why I can't take your religious beliefs seriously. If it's not just wishful-thinking, it's certainly _indistinguishable_ from wishful-thinking.
      And I care about the truth. I _care_ about the _truth._ I ask for evidence, because evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking.
      But hey, if you just want to believe what you were taught to believe as a child, because it makes you feel good, that's entirely up to you. Wishful-thinking isn't enough for _me,_ but we're all different, huh?

      _what do you want??_
      I'm asking for _something_ distinguishable from delusion and wishful-thinking that points to your god, rather than to some natural explanation (known or unknown).
      _look around evidence all around you??sun moon stars trees_
      Nope. The sun, moon, stars, and trees are evidence that the sun, moon, stars, and trees exist. They're not evidence of _how_ they exist.
      They're certainly not evidence of a god. Indeed, as far as I can tell, those things all seem to be perfectly natural. Why would a tree require magic?
      _you yourself a complex machine,cannot be by accident_
      I'm not sure what you mean by "accident," exactly. I certainly don't seem to be _planned,_ if that's what you mean. But it's not a matter of just throwing a bunch of atoms into a box and shaking the box, either. I appear to have resulted from natural processes.
      Again, as far as I can tell, human beings - like the sun, moon, stars, and trees - are perfectly natural. Why would you think otherwise? Do you have any *evidence* of that, or is that just what you were taught to believe as a child?
      _research and study and you will come to the inevitable conclusion_
      I did. I came to the inevitable conclusion that religion is just based on superstition and wishful-thinking.
      However, I _could_ be wrong - about _anything,_ not just gods. So my "conclusions" are always tentative. Show me I'm wrong and I'll change my mind. But it's going to take actual _evidence,_ not just vague claims.

    This interview is an excellent prologue to the book where the author, Shaykh Asrar Rashid, very eloquently addresses the common fallacies and straw-man arguments posed by atheistic objectors. Any non-muslim with some wisdom and an ounce of rationale will be able to appreciate that Islam exclusively eradicates any doubt in the belief of a creator. I believe the book is the first of its kind on the subject. It should be purchased without hesitation.

      Until you take a look at the arbitrary properties god is claimed to have and have no reason to exist over alternatives. Why that moral code? Why the desire to create? Why would he prefer muslims over christians or jews? No reason, each religion has the version of god that fits their needs.

      Things are that are not covered are that attributes of god like morality and desire to create aren't necessary, they are arbitrary. The problem of evil also remains unsolved because free will can only do exactly what god determined it will do because determinism is inescapable.

Secondly, its easy just saying shaykh asrar is ahl albidah yet none of you can substantiate these claims on his face. He doesn’t worship graves or call on the dead, that is your tabloid style propaganda against him. He takes the classical position of imam nawawi on zyara an d tawasuul and condemns the ghuluw of sufis, barelawis and others. He calls to the Quran and Sunnah and Ijma.

      I'm pretty much the opposite of that. The more I talk to theists, the more it seems that they have nothing but wishful-thinking backing up their beliefs.
      But I'm always willing to be shown otherwise, so if you have one piece of good evidence, specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself, that your god is real, rather than just imaginary, I'd love to hear it. Just *one,* please - for now, at least.

      1 John 2:2 KJV
      2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
      Acts 13:26-33 KJV
      26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, *and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.*
      27 *For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.*
      28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
      29 *And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.*
      30 *But God raised him from the dead:*
      31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
      32 *And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,*
      33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
      1 Peter 3:22 KJV
      22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
      John 14:6 KJV
      6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
      Mark 16:16 KJV
      16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
      John 8:24 KJV
      24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
      Acts 2:38 KJV
      38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
      Luke 11:13 KJV
      13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
      John 14:21-24 KJV
      21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
      22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
      23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
      24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*

    Honestly, the fact we all know what we mean when we mention God or Allah... Or some type of all powerful deity, no one is truly unaware what we mean. I have never said I believe in God and someone responded with "... God? What is a God?" It's always "I don't believe in Him or I don't believe in the man in the sky or I don't believe in religion." That alone speaks volumes yet they don't really realize it. 'Cause we live in a secular society and there is a whole generation who were brought up without religion, yet the mental concept of a higher power is always naturally there. They just reject that which they intuitively know exists.

    Three issues:

    I guess one of the reasons we are on earth is to develop our ability to percieve Allah with the heart. The athiest inability to percieve can be contagious for the unequipped. It's good to have Brother Paul's series "nodesign" always handy for such cases.
    I think a Muslim Sheikh who is an expert on this particular subject (such as Sheikh Rashid) should debate Francesca Stavrakopoulou. The lady has made a career out of poking fun at primitive pre-islamic notions of God and atheists hail her as their champion. She has a book, the anatomy of God. Hasn't approached Islam or the Quran...yet. As far as I know.
    As Saudi opens it's doors to archeology this islam-atheist debate will become mainstream.

  • @Fundamental_Islam.

    Also I think he should study hindu scriptures cuz at the scriptural level Hinduism is pure monotheism.
    Gita refutes modern Hindu dogmas:
    1) God doesn’t menifest in human or any other form:
    “The foolish think of Me, the Unmanifest, as having manifestation, knowing not My higher, immutable and most excellent nature. I do not manifest, being veiled by the Yoga Maya. This deluded world does not know Me, the unborn and imperishable. “
    [Bhagavad Gita 7:24-25]
    2) God is not in sun, moon, cow, tree etc
    “Whatever being (and objects) that are pure, active and inert, know that they proceed from Me. They are in Me, yet I am not in them. Deluded by these Natures (states or things) composed of the three qualities of Nature, world does not know Me as distinct from them and immutable. “
    [Bhagavad Gita 7:12-13]
    “All this world is pervaded by Me in My unmanifest aspect;
    all beings exist in Me, but I do not dwell in them. Nor do beings exist in Me (in reality): behold My divine Yoga, supporting all beings, but not dwelling in them, is My Self, the efficient cause of beings.” [Bhagavad Gita 9:4-5]
    3) you don’t need mediators like idols to worship God;
    “To those men who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, of those ever united, I secure what is not already possessed and preserve what they already possess. Even those devotees who, endowed with faith, worship other gods, worship Me only, O Arjuna, but by the wrong method! (For) I alone am the enjoyer and also the Lord of all sacrifices; but they do not know Me in essence (in reality), and hence they fall (return to this mortal world).”[Bhagavad Gita 9:22-23]
    “Fix thy mind on Me;
    be devoted to Me;
    sacrifice unto Me;
    bow down to Me;
    having thus united thy whole self with Me, taking Me as the Supreme Goal, thou shalt verily come unto Me.”[Bhagavad Gita 9:34]
    4) If you can’t then practice;
    “Fix thy mind on Me only, thy intellect in Me, (then) thou shait no doubt live in Me alone hereafter. If thou art unable to fix thy mind steadily on Me, then by the Yoga of constant practice do thou seek to reach Me, O Arjuna! If thou art unable to practise even this Yoga, be thou intent on doing actions for My sake;
    even by doing actions for My sake, thou shalt attain perfection”. [Bhagavad Gita 12:8-10]
    5) make scripture your authority not your desires and man made rituals;
    He who, casting aside the ordinances of the scriptures, acts under the impulse of desire, attains neither perfection nor happiness nor the supreme goal. Therefore, let the scripture be the authority in determining what ought to be done and what ought not to be done. Having known what is said in the ordinance of the scriptures, you should act here in this world. [Bhagavad Gita 16:23-24]
