The 12G Breaker... its such a shame that the ammo pickup is so terrible. Its such fun weapon to use. I hope they increase the ammo pick up. It honestly could be "fine" right now as a secondary weapon, but not as a primary. We can only hope.
Disagree with your assessment of the RPK: it is death sentence viable and melts zeal dozers in seconds. I was using it on my journey to get the DSOD mask before the Lion’s Roar got buffed into the stratosphere with very good results to boot. The only problem you can have is ammo, and that problem is easily solved. The RPK is also an icon: a classic looking weapon, deserving respect with the likes of the M16 and AK. There are definitely MUCH worse performing and looking weapons than the RPK, and after the nerfs to LMG’s I would rather use it over any other LMG aside from the KSP due to its sheer dps.

I find it kinda weird that you quote that given I never actually said it. I always said “overbuffed” or “buffed so hard”. Buffs are fine, over buffs just show incompetence. After the 40s were buffed, I had no issue with that, they were buffed fairly and needed it since they were locked into being played with damage boost skills. 60s did not need a buff, and if anything, the lions roar simply needed reload speed. I would say that the dishonorable mention for the shotgun would go to the Reinfeld 880. Literally nobody remembers it, it's slow as fuck, even with shotgun skills, and looks ugly. And it's outclassed by the Loco.
Yes it makes me sad. I adore simple pump-action shotguns but there are at least 3 other pumps that outclass it. Funny how shotguns only have great ones and only awful ones.
You can fix the reload bug on piglet if you complete the reload completely It bugs out when you reload cancel, and gets fixed by doing that ^ And all it requires is reloading one shell And yes i know, still painful and STILL should be fixed, but this is at least what can you as a player, do to deal with it The crossbows have one problem: The reload speed DOES NOT ABSOLUTELY MATTER because their rate of fire still keeps you away from shooting it again. There is really no point in getting any reload skills for heavy or light crossbows, or even the pistol crossbow, but airbow is an exception because it has a high rof for what it is, so it does not have that problem.
Thankfully the copycat perk deck makes the piglet fun to use. The moment I saw the card that allows you to reload your holstered weapon via killing, I immediately made a build with it. That's now my favourite build.

I was expecting to see the Micro minigun as a honorable mention like that s one of the most care free "shift+w+m1" weapon in my opinion. Because it can't run out of ammo, you don't need to aim, it has a lot of damage and it s dumb as duck, although you need a proper build to do this And great vid btw

The reason why the reload is canceled on the piglet sometimes is because instead of after the last shot u press R, you pressed the mouse 1 button and therefore the game thinks u want to shoot immidiately. I learned that with the locomotive
I don’t play Payday 2 for anything but fun. I don’t care about metas, and hell, I love the Breaker shotgun, as it is so satisfying to use. Although, this being said, this video is helping me with my next weapon purchase. Thanks and great video.
I liked the Breaker and Joceline back when I played, but that was in 2018 at the latest. It also helped that I mostly just played on my own to mess around, which is why I did stupid shit like optimizing the Joceline for accuracy and loading it with slugs. It could never reach the same concealment as the Mosconi anyway, so why not go to the other extreme?
Heavy crossbow is good as a primary for stealth, you can use it to nuke a gaurd on higher difficulties if you're spotted and they gain all their health.

I've done Overdrill couple of days ago, using RPK with 23DR, TBTB Suppressor and Professional Aced. And even when shooting enemies that are at like 4m distance it still was very uncomfortable, the camera starts jumping in every direction, somewhat like M60 without aced Professional (but worse). But I guess it's *somewhat* understandable, because, well, crits without Unseen Strike

The reaload on the Piglet, Individual-shell-reload shotguns and the Chinapuff isn't bugged. It's an intended mechanic that when you press shoot, it cancels the reload after the next shell/grenade has been inserted. Stop doubletapping shoot when you want to reload.

They still shoot the same amount of pellets but its just now that some of them are invisable, they only done this for optimisation reasons, so the actual amount of pellets shot is the same amount
No, the pellet count has gone down. This is confirmed by overkill staff lol. Making something invisible would not do anything for performance, it’s how game optimization works. Think about a game like gta 5 for example. It has an open world map, but it unrenders areas where you aren’t. The moment you go back into them, they’re rerendered. If the devs would’ve just made the areas invisible, you would still be loading every single person, every single car, every single thing, on the entire map, at all times. Your frame rate would be atrocious. These pellets were not made invisible for the performance, because that wouldn’t change anything. They were simply removed.
Wow, this game has changed a lot since 2018 when I stopped playing. coming back to it I was wondering why some of my builds had become frustrating to play with (ignoring the AI changes from that year)
The problem isn’t the weapons themselves, but everything around them. Having insane op weapons is great, if they didn’t exist next to normal, or even terrible ones. Payday 2 is innately unbalanced, which can be seen from the high highs and the low lows. That is the problem, not the weapons themselves.
it's awful sad to see the peacemaker in the slot for "worst weapon in Payday 2" because it's just plain cool, and pretty satisfying to use. the ammo pickup rate isn't terrible from what i've seen of it, but unless you're firing one shot every second and a half, you need to rip your mouse downwards because of the recoil. tl;dr fanning the hammer is effectively impossible
honestly with the breaker I think a damage buff and slight max ammo reserve increase would make it at least ok, the secondary GSPS is a straight upgrade right now. Overkill should definitley lean into the slow firerate, high accuracy, heavy hitter thing with it.
I recently got into payday again and picked up the commando cuz I love the Arnold nostalgia and breezed through my first infamy. I just though payday was easier than I remembered.

You know, it's interesting to watch this video now that time has passed, especially when it comes to piglet. With the addition of zapper grenades, if you shoot yourself with a last nade, it'll automatically taze you, and due to the way the game works, it'll instantly reload the whole mag. It'll also result in the one grenade being fired as well, but hell, having 5 nades instantly instead of spending 10 seconds on reloading the whole thing is preferable alternative. And then, we got a copycat perk deck, which gives you the ability to instantly reload your primary if you get enough kills with your secondary, and vice versa, so it doesn't even require zapper grenades anyway. It's interesting how piglet went from being a laughing stock to being one of the more viable weapons.

The reason why the reload is canceled on the piglet sometimes is because instead of after the last shot u press R, you pressed the mouse 1 button and therefore the game thinks u want to shoot immidiately. I learned that with the locomotive

I liked the Breaker and Joceline back when I played, but that was in 2018 at the latest.
It also helped that I mostly just played on my own to mess around, which is why I did stupid shit like optimizing the Joceline for accuracy and loading it with slugs. It could never reach the same concealment as the Mosconi anyway, so why not go to the other extreme?
Heavy crossbow is good as a primary for stealth, you can use it to nuke a gaurd on higher difficulties if you're spotted and they gain all their health.
What they really need to do to the peacemaker is give it armor piercing.

I've done Overdrill couple of days ago, using RPK with 23DR, TBTB Suppressor and Professional Aced. And even when shooting enemies that are at like 4m distance it still was very uncomfortable, the camera starts jumping in every direction, somewhat like M60 without aced Professional (but worse). But I guess it's *somewhat* understandable, because, well, crits without Unseen Strike
Just use max FOV and you got comfortable shooting, the camera have less jumping.
@@user-py9us8qh1l I do play with max FOV, and even have the mod that disables the screen shake while shooting. It's just the RPK being too balanced I guess :D

me not seeing my baby the OG minigun on this list makes me happy and a little sad at the same time, i played alot of pd2 during the great LMG and minigun buff patch and using the minigun with muscle deck and the machinegun skills was so fun.
when it comes to the grimms, there are two types of people
-those who run it with either he or dragon's breath along with extended mags
-those has a very minor case of serious skill issue
In one of my anarchist builds, I only have the Grimm just to get armor back, you wouldn't catch me using it anymore to do anything but armor.
I use that shit in all my builds literally to kill snipers. I hate snipers.

The reaload on the Piglet, Individual-shell-reload shotguns and the Chinapuff isn't bugged. It's an intended mechanic that when you press shoot, it cancels the reload after the next shell/grenade has been inserted. Stop doubletapping shoot when you want to reload.
how do you disable the teammate names over their heads? your HUD looks so clean, apart from pocoHUD.

11:49 They didnt decrease the pellet amounts on shotguns, they decreased the amount of pellets that you SEE. They still shoot the same amount of pellets but its just now that some of them are invisable, they only done this for optimisation reasons, so the actual amount of pellets shot is the same amount
No, the pellet count has gone down. This is confirmed by overkill staff lol.
Making something invisible would not do anything for performance, it’s how game optimization works. Think about a game like gta 5 for example. It has an open world map, but it unrenders areas where you aren’t. The moment you go back into them, they’re rerendered. If the devs would’ve just made the areas invisible, you would still be loading every single person, every single car, every single thing, on the entire map, at all times. Your frame rate would be atrocious. These pellets were not made invisible for the performance, because that wouldn’t change anything. They were simply removed.

I don't see the problem with having brain dead weapons, could you tell me why it's a bad thing?
The problem isn’t the weapons themselves, but everything around them. Having insane op weapons is great, if they didn’t exist next to normal, or even terrible ones. Payday 2 is innately unbalanced, which can be seen from the high highs and the low lows. That is the problem, not the weapons themselves.

it's awful sad to see the peacemaker in the slot for "worst weapon in Payday 2" because it's just plain cool, and pretty satisfying to use. the ammo pickup rate isn't terrible from what i've seen of it, but unless you're firing one shot every second and a half, you need to rip your mouse downwards because of the recoil. tl;dr fanning the hammer is effectively impossible
honestly with the breaker I think a damage buff and slight max ammo reserve increase would make it at least ok, the secondary GSPS is a straight upgrade right now. Overkill should definitley lean into the slow firerate, high accuracy, heavy hitter thing with it.

You know, it's interesting to watch this video now that time has passed, especially when it comes to piglet. With the addition of zapper grenades, if you shoot yourself with a last nade, it'll automatically taze you, and due to the way the game works, it'll instantly reload the whole mag. It'll also result in the one grenade being fired as well, but hell, having 5 nades instantly instead of spending 10 seconds on reloading the whole thing is preferable alternative.
And then, we got a copycat perk deck, which gives you the ability to instantly reload your primary if you get enough kills with your secondary, and vice versa, so it doesn't even require zapper grenades anyway. It's interesting how piglet went from being a laughing stock to being one of the more viable weapons.

In my opinion, Payday 2 is generally an Easy game. DSOD it's just a dumb and stupid unbalanced difficulty just to shut the mouth of the veterans with something unneedlessly hard. When they introduced range damage multiplicators, it gave Payday 2 some spark and a more exticint experience in DW and below
