My favorite body of water to fish. Nothing like that cool breeze off that water and the amazing fishing. We slay the trout amd stripers as well as big black crappie. Baby shad Carolina rigged , or swim baits bounced off the bottom .

Question, how do I get to where you’re at? I was trying to find the spot you guys were at fishing at, but not sure where to go. It’s my first time trying to fish Wolf Creek Dam and only thing I found, was the playground area, and the boat ramp, and a little restaurant where the playground area was at
Thanks for watching!!! Technically we are between the playground and the boat ramp… Behind the bathrooms and processing table is an old walkway that was damaged during flooding a few years back. Take that walkway down to the waters edge. The area where I caught my fish in this video is between that spot at the end of the sidewalk and the boat ramp.

I’ve been wanting to fish Wolf Creek Dam for several months but it’s my first time being there and couldn’t find the spot to really bank fish. We decided to lay over for a night like 45 minutes from there. Other than that, it’s a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I live to Lake Cumberland. I found your channel a few days ago, and enjoy the energy, you put into your content. So keep it up. You got a fan in me, that’s for sure!

FYI every fish we caught in this video was caught on under spin jig heads with swim baits… It’s about 2.5 hours for me to get down there too! 😂But it’s always been worth it! It’s an amazing fishery! Absolutely!!! Happy to go into more detail. My friend was using a 1/16th ounce white road runner spinner jig and a 3” white Pearl zoom tiny fluke. I was using a pink 1/4 ounce “Lelands Lures” fin spin jig with an Albino 4” Zoom Fluke. No sinkers we’re used in the filming of this video… If you have any other questions, please hit me up! If your fishing just for small mouth bass below the dam, do I still need a trout license?
Yes. Wolf Creek Dam is one of the few places in the state that require you to have the trout license regardless of your target species.
