Perfect video for milking in an abreast parlour, with step by step procedure of milking in cows. I feel this reveals many untold steps for a constant milking and for good health of cows. Just keep posting videos like this.
Hi, Your parlour setup looks amazing and inexpensive, can you please make a new video on the plumbing and the features, i would like to construct a similar on my small dairy farm in india. Thanks.
Gary McCutcheon i wouldn't make the steps any higher bout some better anti slip flooring on the steps would be good.can't think of anything else at the moment
milked cows all my days in the newest off parlous and old but hope to have my own some day i can get the land and sheds but no parlour so do you think it be good to set up like you and how long to train the cows as i will be getting monty,s
Gary McCutcheon well its a simple system and works well. The cows take 3-4 days to train, sometimes less sometimes more. You need a bucket of cake in front of them to tempt them up the step
+keefeekins not at the moment. The farm would need a lot of investment if we got bigger and at the moment with the current milk price thats too risky for us
Milking is the easy part. It is all the cleaning up and washing the equipment that takes all the time. Your setup is a lot different to what I was use to. The milk went straight into the vaccum pipe and straight into the milk vat. Those glass bottles on top on the machine, I have never seen a setup like that before. When I first started milking when I was a boy we had to put the milk through a seperator to seperate the cream from the milk and put it into cans.
born2flyau i can just remember my dad using a seperator when i was a kid, wish someone had filmed that then. Not many people have milk jars now but i find them very useful to see what the milks like
Great 👍 video Richard..Good seeing 👀 your dad in this.take care.

Are you still milking with that parlour? I love all your videos. 🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄. How many cows you got.
+Rita O'Neill yes we do. we only have 70
How do cows handle such an early milking, you probably dont milk so early in the morning. Cows probably have pretty full utters in the morning.
