@Scott Smith He did ... the border on the island of Ireland could easily be managed by smart technology. On the border between Sweden and Norway, which uses a system called the Scandinavian Pre-Clearance Agreement. This system allows trucks to be pre-cleared for customs checks before they arrive at the border.

@@AinsleyGovan Norway is in the EEA which alows it to be part of the EU single market (although not in the customs union) So the Norway/ Sweden border is a much less complex and different situation than the the Irish border. Single Market membership means Norway must accept freedom of movement.

@@Eurobrasil550 the agreement between Norway and Sweden is separate from their membership in the EEA.
Sure look at the pre-clearance US-Canada border too, it's basically a toll booth...
In fact there already is a toll booth on the M1 just north of Drogheda...

Wow, Ben has very strong views about NI and the Windsor Framework. Ben doesn't want the UK to have anything to do with the EU. Ben's a passionate Leaver (no insulting word). So, wouldn't it be outrageous if Ben had business operations in the EU. Of course not, because BREXIT's all about multi-millionaires telling the people of the UK what to do, whilst they do something else.
The most positive views in Northern Ireland are in relation to the Protocol’s economic consequences. 55% of respondents see the current impact of the Protocol on Northern Ireland’s economy as positive, and 65% think that the Protocol offers unique economic opportunities which could benefit Northern Ireland.

    • @fitzstv8506

Ardent brexiteers don't care about what the people of Northern Ireland think or about Parliamentary majorities because they are members of a cult called brexit.

The majority of residents of GB couldn't give a toss about NI. Let it go. Roll on the border poll which dumps NI on RoI. For the moment, fresh elections for the NI Assembly will show a majority of NI population voting for parties which support NIP/Windsor.

😅The UK PARLIMENT voted by 515 to 29 to accept the terms of the Windsor Framework. Reform is currently 6% in the opinion polls so is unlikely to be a major force in UK politics. Mr Sunak greatest achievement will to restore the UKs reputation as an honourable nation abiding hy the rule of international law for which it is respected worldwide .
