It’s not a surprise knowing how capable Charlie and Alex are but the vocals and bassist are fucking killing it! Amazing performances all the way around...keep em coming!
Ask any metal head what their favorite band is and 90% of the time they will say Rush. So, this is a natural song for them to play, it doesn't "show" anybody anything.
Thinking of a friend and gentleman who passed away yesterday who had a record shop in ennis co clare Ireland who championed rock and heavy metal and loved rush . Raising a glass and playing this in your memory. And a great drummer to boot. He would love this . RIP Dave.
My favorite song off of my favorite RUSH album. I wore the grooves off this record back in the 80s in high school (as well as Spreading the Disease- ha) and I must say that ya'll absolutely nailed it. Completely bad ass in every respect.
The keyboard player is a great Drummer, Brandon Yeagley What a great singer he is. Another great cover guy's & a great spirit lifter in these troubled time's.
Here i am,watching someone like Charlie Benante messing around with his friends, playing Rush tunes. Sometimes good things actually come to those who wait :)
I can't adequately express the joy I feel watching musicians perform the music that was a foundation of my early years. You seem to enjoy playing it as much as I do listening to it. RIP Neil, and happiness and health to Geddy, Alex, and all their fans.
Talent is talent. No boundaries or limits. I'm more of a metalhead and as soon as I saw this lineup covering a very difficult song from Rush, I had no doubt it would be killer, and I'm so not disappointed. Wow, I probably played this like 8 times in a row. Very well done. If any good came from the quarantine, it's gems like this!!
The guitarist is Alex scholnick mostly know for Testament, drummer is Charlie Benante, best known for Anthrax plays drums, writes a lot of the guitar riffs and oversees all the bands artwork. The other guys I don't know but they are awesome.
Living in Australia and waking up to this stuff every other morning is sensational. So many side project opportunities presenting once this pandemic is done with. As a lifelong fan from in 80's I would never have dreamed this kinda collaboration stuff possible. Totally nailed this track, and what a way for Brandon to introduce himself!!! Charlie wearing the Aja Tee, what an album that is too.
I've been watching Crobot since before they were "oh, my G-d, it's...", and even opened for an earlier version at the Funhouse in Bethlehem, PA. All these years later, Brandon is still one of my favorite singers. PHENOMINAL version, y'all!!
All you mates are OUTSTANDING. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for this! Huge Rush fan and also fellow drummer, Neil's death really hit me hard. This means a LOT and y'all knocked it out of the PARK! Also, Brandon, holy shit mate. Well done!
That was excellent guys, the choice for vocals was a great fit, not many can sing Gedys stuff without sounding way off or ridiculous! Badass rendition!
I love full band covers. This one was really really good. I watched it like 20 times and I can't get enough. You inspire me to become a better musician. Stay safe
AWESOME! That sound that Alex has going is perfect for this song. Killer bass and vocal performances. Awesome keyboard/air drumming support. And last but certainly not least Charlie is tearing it UP! while sporting that Aja shirt. Kudos!
I remember meeting Neil and others in my Aunt Alice's kitchen in Toronto when I was too young to realize who they were! By 5ish I figured it out☺. My Cousin was Drummer in Helix and they used to play highschool gyms all over the place, Rush played at Brock Highschool in Burlington and I went to see them with my Grandmother(lived a couple blocks away) and that was when I would figure it out! My favorite memory as a single digit metalhead! Thanks Charlie and Pal's☺! Love the new record Alex!

Up in the sky, Neil certainly smiles at this. Thanks for giving this to the world, Benante and Co.
Very well orchestrated. This goes to show how complex it is to preform songs by Rush. It takes 5 musicians to do what 3 musicians did on their own. Great vocals, the bassist nailes it and Alex is in his element. Charlie, you deserve the utmost respect. You did an excellent job on the drums. You are a true percussionist.
Why would you Dislike this? Seriously, if you clicked on this and hit Dislike then you just don't like RUSH. But anyone who has ever heard the original song knows this was fantastic!!
i was a bit worried about the vocals before he started singing, but my worries were totally unfounded. killed it, vocally, musically, everything ! thank you from new york city !
ERMAFERGENGHERD. One of my favorite drummers playing one of my favorite Rush tracks with some of my absolute favorite musicians. Who said nothing great can come from the epidemic? I say they are wrong, so very wrong! (Chawlie...you are my hero for this wearing my favorite Steely Dan shirt, too!)
Charlie you are making all of this lockdown more bearable with these collabs. As an old-school fan of both Anthrax and Rush, (not to mention Suicidal and Testament) I am chuffed with all of the things right now. My shift doing garbage tomorrow will be so much better playing your youtube tracks.
Been a rush fan since the early 80s. I actually started following crobot a few years ago. They are awesome. I love their song "queen of the light" for some reason reminds me of Rush
was sent here by a coworker and was not disappointed, Brandon Yeagley sings the living shit out of this, i'm headed over to see what Crobot is all about now. Great job on this!
It’s not a surprise knowing how capable Charlie and Alex are but the vocals and bassist are fucking killing it! Amazing performances all the way around...keep em coming!
To get the gig in Suicidal Tendencies you have to be an amazing bass player, Mike Muir sure knows how to pick 'em
Crobot is fucking great. Seen them live twice. Love the vibe they put off...
Come on the whole band is awesome!!
Ra Díaz bass
@@TheOingyBoingy I was just going to say the same thing. You have to shred to be in ST.

I like how its not just a song they are playing. They have Really have captured, or are possessed by the essence of it. Great experience guys, thanks!
That keyboardist is one helluva air drummer ;-)
Definetly Charlie Benante haha
🤟😂
You can tell he's a real drummer because he knows exactly where, when, and how to hit. I always love multi-instrumentalists including Geddy.
@@pip5528 you clearly missed the joke... Hes a Drummer not a Keyboardist by trade. *facepalms*
Charlie for sure.
This is all that's right in the world.
This Shows That THRASH Musicians Not Only Have TALENT But APPRECIATION For ALL MUSIC!! Well Done Guys!!
Ask any metal head what their favorite band is and 90% of the time they will say Rush. So, this is a natural song for them to play, it doesn't "show" anybody anything.
This lineup needs to do a Rush covers tour when venues are open again for rock shows.
No it doesn't. Calm down a little and rethink that.
Rick James - ok, I read @alphakub’s comment, then your reply. I calmed down and rethought it and I DEFINITELY WANT THIS TOUR!
Stormtrooper of death and friends.
There's an idea
How good would that be?! I'd definitely get tickets for that
Charlie releasing these videos has become one of the silver linings, in a very bad situation, for me.
Hang in there, friend. We will be free again soon.
The music save us 💪
Hope charlie gave ya a thumbs up for the album name😉
@@cjh555 I was thinking the same thing :D

Fantastic. You can’t just fake this music, everybody has to be on point.
Does it look like they had a blast or what?!
🤘🏻😝🇨🇦
How can they not have a good time playing Rush
Charlie- focused and in the zone
Alex- focused and in the zone
Ra- groovin' and having the time of his life
when you are THAT GOOD, its just like riding waves....
GREEEEEEAAAAAAAATTTTTTT. Greetings from Portugal. I love Rush too. And Suicidal, and Anthrax, and Testament...
Once coronavirus is over, Charlie, Alex, and Ra should start a power trio supergroup. These jam sessions more than justify it.
Include Mike Patton or Udo for some guest vocals
Best Rush cover EVER! RIP Neil.
Another outstanding Rush cover over at Two Minutes to Late Night. Anthem. Check it out.
Yeah.......might wanna check out Primus covering Rush.....not that these guys aren't great, but Primus takes it to another level.
Well that put a smile on my face. Thanks!
What a fricken amazing cover. Brandon’s voice is PERFECT for this. More Rush PLEASE! Do we have to beg? 🙏

That guitarist is the great Alex Skolnick of the band Testament. Terribly underrated, but imho, one of the greats... and also a very humble person.
