Arma 3 looks alright, as a mission on TH-cam, but plays like shit. It's 5% fun gameplay wrapped in 95% bullshit. There's a reason it's not very popular.

Do more PVP Drewski, I feel like player dynamics add a lot more to the game than just fighting AI
Especially with TFR when you can literally hear your enemies speak and yell when you’re close enough, it’s epic
They would of died around where they blew up the shit and they got ambushed at the radio tower
I really don't understand and can't get the idea out of my mind about why there is virtually no PvP in ArmA 3 community. And before you name KOTH and CTI, those are pretty arcadish and casual missions.
Schwarze Sonne Arma 3 life? That is pretty much orientated towards pvp. Seen in my videos. I would say a majority of Armas best pvp players are located on life servers

Imagine this as a Squad gamemode. It's less in-depth than with these mods, but it's got better physics and a bearable stamina system. And I doubt they'd make lights that are client-side lmao

I think Drewski made a tactical mistake using the hand held detinator. Would have been a better idea to utilise the timed explosive. Set the first one for an hour along with a stop watch, then set the next one for the remaining time. So on and so fourth.
Also, drew had responsibility for drone and explo. If another person had drone control when they were planting explo they would have seen the first contact on tower coming.

It was so dark playing as the Russians you have no idea. You just just popped up and disapeared like ghosts. I had my flashlight on y'all a few times in this video and it was still too dark, I couldn't see you at all.
failsafe3 they used the term "ghosts" too it's actual limits.

This is why you get good flashlights. Base ArmA flashlights are utter shite.
If you ever played airsoft during night it's exactly like that.

I just watch the whole thing and ive made a conclusion. No movie has the same tension as this one. LOVED IT!

Amazing. I actually felt like years ago patrolling at night :D the silent brightness of a distant flare! An approaching vehicle and the whole section goes down in the ditch beside the road... and of course falling asleep while marching :D

Unfortunately not, this requires alot of teamwork, something that public servers just cannot provide

@@Tafa168 If you go on steam workshop you can see all the arma mods.
@@Tafa168 there is hundreds of uniform mods. however in order to use them on a server that server would also have to be running those mods. So to answer your question, yes and sort of yes?
Probably finding some kind of discord group would be your best bet.
I love operating the greyhawk(predator) drone. The joy of launching JDAMs or ATGMs at the ground is so good.

@OperatorDrewski This mission is the type of experience that so many people want from this game, but sadly very few find the community and friends willing to go through the process to set up these kinds of situations. These simulations are why I bought the game a few years back, as your videos are the best at displaying what arma can be with a little work. But without a solid group of people willing to go through these steps with you, you are stuck with KOTH, Life, and the campaigns. Referring to a video you posted awhile back where you said "it feels like I'm falsely advertising arma 3", I agree that it comes across that way to viewers, but if more of us got together with your mindset to create and participate in these missions, then we could change the way the majority play the game.
TLDR: Man I know I'm not the only one who wants to play missions like this, is there a way to become part of this group of participants? I'm not asking to be in your video, or make it in the same game/server even (would love to), but I want to be part of the like minded group that gets excited to make the game different and more fun to play.

Go into the Arma discord server and there is a channel for groups like this called "units" where you can get large groups of people ususally doing PvE missions.
Alternately, I could send you a discord invite for a group I am part of if you want.
I don’t know of any but I’m sure you could start looking in some subreddits and discord servers

Thank you for that. That was really helpful and thx for the controls. Well done. I downloaded this game 5 years ago and played only for a month, got to a squad of ppl with sticks in their asses. They literally thought this is military. I like immersion but there are some boundaries.

i know it would be so hard to put together but some kind of 1 man stealth mission metal gear solid style would be incredible to see in this game.
I'm not too familiar with the mechanics of arma 3 but infiltrating from a dive, starting with just a silenced pistol and manoeuvring human player patrols would be epic to watch and incredibly challenging, throw in a uniform change to blend with the guards, a hostage rescue and some sabotage and it would be like a movie!
