Bryce, you’re literally a genius! I really hope you’re an engineer or something at your day job! It’s awesome the way you’ve set this trailer up. You don’t cut corners, you find the best of the best and that’s what you use, but then you take it a step further and find a way to build it or make it better! I’m brand new to the detail game. I’ve been working up to it for months. I finally found a trailer that was pre “built” and I bought it. My first real client is tomorrow. Extremely nervous. Just wanted to tell ya you’ve been a huge inspiration through the entire process of building up to this!
Thanks man! I had a lot of help though from a water expert. We have some of the hardest water in the country here in AZ spotless water was an absolute must in my business. Really appreciate the kind words. Congrats on the trailer purchase and your first job! Dude that is awesome! I hope it goes really well for you. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes.
This is the exact same system us saltwater hobbyists use for our saltwater tanks.. float valves and all… fun to have two hobbies that intertwine with each other .. your setup is fantastic
It's almost too much machinery and engineering setup for a detailing business. I love how I understand your RO system for I use the same (bit smaller ofc) system in my home but for my freshwater planted aquariums lol. Love your videos man please dont stop.
Hi there, the flow of spotless water greatly depends on the pressure at which you are running the system. For example, if you run it at 80psi (lowest applied pressure) you’re going to get around 2 gpm. At 120psi you’re going to get around 3 gpm. Keep in mind the faster you run water through the system the harder you’re causing your DI resin to work. You’ll get spotless water really fast but the resin has to work a little harder. If you run it at 80psi (recommended applied pressure) you’re going to get the max life out of your DI resin. Hope this helps. There’s no right or wrong here. I run mine at 120 psi all the time when I want to quickly fill up my tank. When I have time to wait I crank it down a notch. Either way you’re still getting thousands of gallons of spot-free water from your resin.
I would be interested to see what your system is doing without the DI, if it is at 7 or 1 PPM, if you could use it as is and not see spots. could be a good test on a sample panel.
@@SpotlessWaterGuy man that is so cool, congrats on all the works you did to build that. I have only a di system and it’s great but I chew through my resin like crazy here in Las Vegas (500 tds ppm). It lasts about 10 weeks-ish. Awesome setup bro💪
Hi there love the setup you got and I’m facing the same issue you once had I also hate water spots could you link the equipment needed to make my di unit produce more water sorry it’s a big ask keep up the good content thanks
Hey Ben! We sell these units on a prefabricated wall mount. Feel free to reach out to me if you are interested in learning more. Support@sudsandgo.com. Friendly heads up these are expensive systems.
@@Vanhamj1 great question. It depends on what you’re using it for. Window cleaners will run this to a water fed pole (no tank). The water is continuous though it keeps flowing. For car detailers you need a tank. This system can produce spot free water up to 3 gpm. This can vary though depending on how high you want your TDS coming out of the RO. The higher the pressure the more water your going to make but higher the TDS. The slower you run the system the lower the TDS which helps your DI resin last much longer. You don’t want to starve your pressure washer pump of water if it’s not feeding it fast enough. I recommend with a system like this you always use a holding tank. This allows your equipment to draw as much water as it needs. If the tank starts to get low on water it will turn itself back on again and make more (when connected to a water source). Hope that helps.
@@SpotlessWaterGuy I am currently using a DIY resin system, but I’m still going through resin much faster than I’d like. I too am in AZ, so everything you stated in your video is exactly what I am fighting, so I use DI water for my entire process. I really appreciate your response and insight.
Bryce, been following you for some time and I have to say your approach to spot free water & detailing is inspiring and refreshing. Would you ever consider doing consulting and/or instructions for others to follow? Could a low(er) maintenance setup be configured on a utility trailer? Unfortunately an enclosed trailer isn’t doable right now. I live in Texas and summers will be brutal so spot free would be so helpful if I can actual afford to run it (kind of like you do.) New, novice detailer launching officially in Jan 2022 btw
Korey, first off congrats on starting your business next year! That’s really exciting. You could absolutely do a set up on a smaller utility trailer and have it be super functional. I have one in my garage that’s been staring at me that I need to get building. I do currently offer consulting services for those who are starting off in the business. Happy to go over those details with you further if you would like. You can email me at support@sudsandgo.com. Thanks for your comment!
Nice setup. I have been looking for a RO system I could use for my detailing business here in Las Vegas. Can you provide me with some information on the equipment you are using and where to purchase it. Thanks
Hey there! I had an issue with it overheating during the summer time. I added an exhaust line to reroute the hot air outside my trailer. Since then I haven’t had any more issues with overheating. Been a good vacuum.

Are you running a pump to push through your RO or just what ever line pressure at your water source? If you're running a pump what brand & model? Thanks
Nice, detailing out here in NC, I'm interested in an RO system, I currently run spot free just thru a tank, only get like 1500 gallons before I have to change the resin. My water source is at 65 ppm which is nice. Is there a place I can get similar equipment?
Hi Mike, your water quality is amazing. My water is terrible. I’m at around 500ppm. I’m getting ready to sell these systems as a wall mount option. Pre built for a trailer, van, truck or garage. Feel free to shoot me an email if interested. Cheers! support@sudsandgo.com
Just to play devil's advocate. If you figure in the cost of doing that, how long will it take to recoup the cost versus just using a standard DI system? I don't do this for a living, so I know it wouldn't work financially for me. I'm just a guy who figures in Return Of Investment, into everything I purchase.
Hey Joe, I agree looking at ROI is important. Here’s a couple figures to look at. To make 15,000 gallons of spot free water using the standard CR Spotless DIC-20 at 450ppm you would spend $10,560. That equals 88 filter exchanges at $120 a piece. With my system you would spend $250 on 1 cubic foot of resin. Roughly 4 filter exchanges to get 15,000+ gallons. This number could go way up by the way dependent on your water quality. The cost of my system let’s just say is much cheaper than $10,560. The ROI greatly depends on how much spot-free water you use. If you’re a weekend warrior washing your own cars and maybe a few of your neighbors the CR spotless is perfect. If your washing multiple cars a day in your business in a hard water state the CR spotless make 0 sense. Great question. Thanks for asking it!

At what rate is the water flowing through the system

Do you have a schematic for the layout of this system? How it's plumbed and wired? Also what type of RO membrane are you using?
I need something like this at my shop! So awesome. My water last time I tested was around 220ppm which isn't terrible

What are you turning on? Are you getting water from house? Are you using a pump to push the house water through your system?
RO thrives on pressure. Im turning on a pump. I use the tap water from my house.
@@SpotlessWaterGuy oh so that turns on a pump that pushes the house tap water faster through your system?
@@LotusDetail77 you got it. The hose pressure is not enough for a commercial RO membrane. It needs a lot more pressure.

Yes I sure am. A motor and pump is what allows me to make up to 2,500 gallons per day. Without it the system would be pretty much useless.
