I don't know much about fashion but I absolutely adore how excited Doris gets, her passion for the subject shines through - the kaftan was my favourite piece too! My sister and I used to watch your tv show and that was a big part of what we loved, seeing what Doris would rave about this episode :)
It amazed me the sheer perfection from that Chanel's blouse and even more amazing is the immaculate shape of that vintage Hermès coat. Karl and Martin are two masters, indeed. Adore you, Doris.

That Alaïa piece is gorgeous, I think I’ve seen a picture of Iman wearing that particular hooded piece from the 1980s. This is such a great idea for a video! I always love any fashion content you put out, Doris! Stay safe and keep up the great video!

Just had delivered today the Stella McCartney brown jacket for my daughter in law. Oh My it is just fabulous - better than I could have ever dreamed - so wonderful. If you ever find another Hermès jacket like the one on your vid I am all in. Same I oversize. Doris - we love your videos! I've always enjoyed vintage clothing but I lack knowledge and you share a wealth of knowledge with every video. My lovely daughter also loves vintage clothing - so much so that she has a collection of vintage patterns that she sews from! This weekend she found a beautiful gabardine that is going to make into vintage sheath dress. Anyway I just want to thank you for bringing joy in this crazy time.
I just love watching your videos! They're extremely calming, and very informative! I enjoy being able to see the items better vs just online, and that I get to know more history of designers and how things are made and how to best take care of them!

I am not a master seamstress by any means but I do ok making things for myself. After watching your videos I always find myself so inspired to make something. No wonder so many designers go to your store for inspiration when designing. You truly do have a genuine love and knowledge of clothing that is amazing!!! Also... I loved this style of video, show me more!!! I really want to visit the website now and see if there's something I could afford to bring home. Doris! YOU float my boat!!! Love your knowledge and passion and i Thank you for sharing it with us! I sell vintage clothing in Dallas and recently sold a bag just like your red folding one! Mine was Italian made in black with red contrast interior and similar gold chain. I researched the heck out of that thing and never found anything like it, so I was thrilled to see yours! Such an unusual and clever design.
The black and gold beaded dress is GORGEOUS!! It could definitely walk the red carpet today!!!

I recently reviewed an 80s Vouge Magazine on my channel and found it so interesting how the 80s were so inspired by other decades like the 40s, 20s and even some Victorian.

I request you to please make a video detailing conservation techniques and how everyone can store clothes correctly .
Wow. Wow ! The black jacket with the gold detail is not an easy piece to make ! They have people who specialize in sewing on the cording , that is what they do everyday ! I have a question ; if you receive a beautiful and rare piece and think it should be cleaned, do you have it cleaned ? I know a lot of your stock has never been worn ! But sometimes where it was stored kind of tells me it needs cleaning . Great quilts found in storage ,were stored in plastic garbage bags , got damp and people did not want to be bothered . One person who knew the value and rarity of the quilt, took the quilt ! He carefully took the quilt out the bag . Inspected the quilt, did the repairs and had it cleaned ( special care was taken to clean and sanitize the quilt ) . The quilt is now a worth quite a bit of money . It would have been destroyed if not for someone like you who understands rare items . But how do you have such one of a kind and rare pieces cleaned ? Storage is common sense when you know about garments . I have seen where people have cedar draws to the ceiling ( 4'x 10 " ) they put putbtgeir garments in tissue paper ( acid free ) . The clothes have been stored for over 60 years , still like new ! Cheers!
