What I love most about this is that this isn't even vintage for her. She's the only one in the room who was alive when all of the clothes were made, when the different styles were in fashion. For her shopping for vintage clothing is a journey into her youth, into all the different time periods she lived in.

This lady understood fashion, it's how it "touches" you and it comes from the heart. Fashion is Art, she didn't care who designed it or signed it, if it moved or inspired her she wanted it. Legendary
I loved that she does care about designers or prices, if she liked it and it was 2 dollars she'd wear it.

Iris is thee coolest. Love her so much. She is a true original, authentic and fashionable person. Because anyone who is actually authentic says the same things she says “I don’t give a damn about labels”, because if you love it and it speaks to you, that’s what counts. Sometimes it just happens to be couture and special to everyone, sometimes it just happens to be special to you and label-less. I’ve adored things from Salvation Army that cost $5 as much as pieces that have cost $500. I love her because she is herself, and fabulous. She’s a national treasure.

Now this lady floats Doris’ boat AND mine. I found out about Doris’s show for The Smithsonian Channel and The doc Iris the same week. I thought I died and went to fashion heaven. So many wonderful, heartwarming, funny people surrounding you both as well. I keep telling everyone I know about both shows and nowDoris’s TH-cam channel. I assure them that I also read the Times and the Post, work, watch the news live coming out of Eastern Europe and yet a girl needs a break. For me, seeing things of enormous beauty and making me laugh are what makes my heart skip a beat. I don’t even need to own then. LOVE THE BOTH OF YOU!! --Joie
