  • Hello the Way We We Wore Fans,
We have some statement ensembles to showcase in this episode, Chanel tweeds, Dior herringbone, Mugler’s jacket of primary colors, and just jaw dropping ensembles that make you poised and ready for anything. The suit for women is something that has been interpreted throughout centuries, but it was in the 20th century that is became commercialized as women became more social and less restricted to the home. Women had social lives and dressed to be scene by both men and women. Chanel a pioneer in many respects designed a jersey suit in 1914, Rochas in the 1930s designed the pants suit, which was later reinterpreted by YSL in 1966 for his Le Smoking suit. Women’s suit ensembles are used in pop culture and have been seen trending on current runways from Balmain, Jacquemus, and Mugler. Blazers are tailored, oversized, cropped, making the suit jacket the ultimate staple in one’s wardrobe. We hope you enjoy this episode.

Over 200 years later and were still waiting for equality. Thanks to all the team for another great segment. I still miss my 1984 Norma kamali cotton blazer with massive detachable shoulder pads, I wore them with everything! 😂

I would like to see an episode of your staff picks. Or an entire episode on one color or color family. All reds or all yellows perhaps. It would be interesting to see how color evolved over time and how the colors change as they age. Van Gogh painted with bright colors, knowing those colors would fade. I wonder how that theory would translate to textiles.

I costume for high school theatre, and I use A LOT of vintage clothes. I have a huge collection. I explain often to the kids helping me, that clothes are a visual part of history. They tell quite a bit about what was going on in the past. I love my collection, but even more, I love adding on to it.😊

First thing that caught my eye is the bracelet Doris is wearing. Adore!
Loved the Gianfranco Ferré...it speaks to the inner "ladies who lunch" in me.
But if i were thin and tall...i would wear the Westwood, Ann Dem and Helmut Lang!!! As a 90s kid, those suits were calling my name.

Women in 1930s suits, now those were power suits. Dior's new look, fabulous. I was a fan of the 1980s football shoulder pads, my favorite was a silk suit that I called my clown suit. Sorry Doris but the gray wide striped suit said escapee from the chain gang to me.

You don't have to say sorry about what you said about women, it's true.
Enough with PC Culture, some people just have to "man up" and accept facts as facts.
Men and women are not the same, they have their own characteristics and qualities, let's just accept that and lead happier lives.

Hello Beautiful Lady Shop Owner!! :)) It would be more interesting to have a little story for each piece (previous owner, designer, condition and believe it or not - PRICE!). You can incorporate generalities like "women's history of the power suit" with specifics to each peace. You loose a lot of interest with the "History of Blah Blah" ... Even though it is very nice of you - as a young lady I prefer not to hear the History of XYZ but you can use it specifically towards each piece.... The best Real Estate is the first 30 seconds of your video. Don't make your viewers Yawn the 1st 30 seconds. Dazzle them. Maybe every now and then you can spot light an item... include the price so we get an idea of the piece ... You are a natural business woman of interest and a great Hostess!! Keep up the good work!

That said, I wish you would stay out of politics and talking about our "strange times." The same reason why football is losing viewers.
