Once one of my passengers had a small tree to move, it was pouring rain and the pot weighed a ton. She explained she was moving out of a nasty relationship with her bf and he didn’t know, she had two friends with her with cars full of her stuff. This had to happen so I helped her out.
There I was driving downtown Ottawa with a tree sticking out my hatch in the pouring rain. She was a great passenger, I had to help her.

I once had a group of girls that their mother called me and told me I was picking them up. First of all they were under age. I explained that to their mother and asked her and explained why I couldn’t take them. I asked her where she was. She said home but they were covered in glitter and she didn’t want to get it all over her car!! I responded with so you have no problem with them getting the glitter all over my car? I then told her how inconsiderate she was and canceled the trip!!

GOLDEN RULE. ALWAYS. And I mean ALWAYS report the passenger IMMEDIATELY and report them before they can report you. Get out of view from the passenger, put the car in park and quickly write up a long message with your defense in it to Uber. Some of these schmuck drivers will think it will just disappear and never report the passenger. So then Uber gets a notice and then they deactivate you. If you report the passenger first Uber will more likely be on your side and will say something along the lines of "thank you for being proactive and being a great partner. We will make sure to go ahead and not allow this passenger and ride to affect your rating". This is what you want

I didn't last long as an Uber/Lyft driver. I got really tired of the sense of entitlement randos felt over MY PERSONAL VEHICLE, just because they'd paid for a $5 trip. I've been in taxis, Uber/Lyfts, and limos and every time I treated that vehicle with respect. I will never understand why some people think it's fine to wreck other people's shit, just because. I'm strictly doing food/grocery delivery now.

I use Uber when I travel, both for work and for vacation. I cash tip when its personal and app tip for busienss so I am reimbursed due to having record of the expense. I do show the driver my phone as I tip. I hope this process keeps my star rating up there.
I did have a Uber incident when traveling with a client late March of this year. We were staying at the Dallas Texas Airport Embassy Suits. Our Uber driver could not find the airport. The Uber app provided route was wrong due to a out of date map. Road construction had eliminated access to the road the Uber app was recommending. What was crazy was the driver made the same wrong turn 4 times over the next 50 minutes. Eventually, the driver pulled to the side of the highway then asked a police officer for directions. We were billed for a 24 mile ride. The previous evening we Uber’d from the airport to hotel and it was 5 miles. Personally, I think the driver was either long hauling us or was incompetent. We almost missed our flight. I contacted Uber, who reset our fare to what we were given as a estimate when we booked the ride.
In my opinion, if a Uber driver can not find the main airport where they drive then maybe they need to consider a different carrier choice. Other than that, my Uber driver experiences have been positive.

Then I pick up someone in a gated community with four bags going to the airport for a two week cruise, no tip at all. I never pick up from Walmart or any plaza that has grocery stores, its just not worth the time wasted for the ride at all, because most of the time, the ride is only couple minutes long and riders expect the drivers to load their stuff and unload for them

I enjoy going to Walmart and asking the greeter how many shoplifters they have caught that day. Lots of thieves "shop" at Walmart. Once I was there when they were detaining some kid for shoplifting groceries. The loss prevention guys were just about to physically restrain him but the kid decided to go peacefully. If you don't go for the merchandise at least go for the entertainment.
I never, ever step foot in a Walmart. I've talked to enough disgruntled employees as I drive them to work.
I always feel bad when I have groceries, but I just sit with them in the back and carry them by myself. I always tip $10-$15 in cash whenever I have groceries, and extra through the app. I don't ask for help carrying them either. I have a 4.96 passenger rating and use Uber almost every day. I have never rated anyone below 5 stars, even the rude drivers.

I’m with ya man, i had 4 riders get in my car Saturday night, all had been drinking, as I’m driving them to their destination a guy in the back says he doesn’t like the music and could I change the station, I ignore him... he pipes up again asking me to change it, I finally said “it’s my car my rules, the station stays”, his buddy didn’t like my response, and said pull over.. I pull over they all get out and he slams my door, I said I don’t care if there’s 4 of you, you slam my door again we’re gonna have a go! Needless to say I gave him a 1 star and commented on his behavior... the moral of the story... don’t take anyone’s shit, it’s your ride your rules!

I've had situations close to yours at Walmart. Anymore, when I see that much stuff, I don't argue with them, I just cancel. I tell them I canceled and why I did so. And the tip thing? Yeah, right! Maybe he could've proposed a deal with you where you take one, and he can take the other two and follow him to his house. But, to expect you to damage your vehicle when he won't damage his? That's pretty assinine!

I have a smaller car, considered a subcompact. I had two Indian guys with two carts full of groceries, and a big beach ball. As soon as I got there and they verified what was theirs, I said, "That's not going to fit in my car. You need to get an Uber XL.". Then I hit the cancel button. I wasn't worried about losing $5 because this isn't my full-time gig. This would've been a 1-mile ride, and these Indians NEVER tip. My next ride was a 15-mile trip where I did receive a tip!

I get tips on the way I dress, I always wear some sort of collar shirt, riders look for that too. A lot of drivers wear basketball jerseys with flip flops and the rider doesn't take them serious lol. They may say I'm doing too much but hey, tips add up to a big paycheck

My uncle is in his 60s and retired. He got bored with it and filled his time with uber. I bought him a Chauffeur outfit as a lighthearted gag gift on his first day, he took it and ran with it full on. He wears the whole outfit, hat and gloves and all. I'll alwas have a soft spot in my heart for uber, althought I don't drive for them anymore.The girls I ended up with from my final uber drive are still with me.These young women are horney 7/24. I can barely keep up with them, There so vibrant and sexy. I guess it's better to be in bed tired but happy verses setting outside walmart waiting for some asshole.
I've been lucky enough to not have something like that happen to me, but damn people are so rude and inconsiderate. I had one lady do a multiple stop trip leaving me waiting outside of a Walmart for 25+minutes, it was ridiculous - just order two different rides at that point right!?!

I'm only a part time driver but Im just fed up and about to seriously vent.. Because Im so over these passengers.. I started out with Lyft 2 months ago and did that for abt 2 weeks until I got approved to drive for Uber.. I didnt really care for a lot of the Lyft passengers for various reasons.. Main one being eating in my car & leaving trash.. First of all when u see that my car is spotless inside & out that should tell u not to try & eat in my car.. Second why are u eating in someones car who u dont even know.. Its a ride for hire not a dining room.. But I digress.. My issue at this point with being an Uber driver is a lot of the passengers are just too damn draining and we dont make enough money to make up for the time, gas, wear & tear on our vehicles plus on top of that passengers thinking youre supposed to be their driver and their entertainment.. Personally Im trying to focus on driving & getting u as well as myself from point A to point B safely.. Secondly Im trying to listen to the navigation so I dont miss any turns or exits.. But yet u want to get in my car asking me 50 million stupis ass questions instead of just letting me drive.. I'm tired of feeling like Im in a freaking job interview everytime I pick up a passenger.. Driving is draining enough in itself without having to tell total strangers your whole life story.. How long u been working for Uber?.. Where are u from?.. How old are you?.. What area of town do u live in?.. And the list goes on.. And I'm like WHYYY???.. Just get in the car and let me drive u where youre going.. A little friendly small talk when u first get in the car is cool.. But all the questions.. That sh*t is SUPER annoying!.. And after the first initial pleasantries let me drive and u talk to the person youre with or if youre alone make a phone call, check your email or social media.. Do something other than asking me 50 million questions the whole ride then getting mad when I miss a turn because u won't let me focus on driving.. And for goodness sake DO NOT leave trash in my car.. I had a 4.95.. Now Im down to a 4.90 because Im to the point I'm just not doing all thag excess socializing and answering questions.. And people will actually rate u low even though you have treated them with respect, gave them a comfortable ride in a nice car thats clean, smells good etc.. But no thats not enough even though thats what youre actually paying for.. Youre rating me low because Im not being your entertainment and your driver..smh.. Im doing this for 3 more weeks and Im done.. I dont have the energy or interest in driving AND jump through hoops to be entertaining.. Its too much for the 4 to 10 dollars we get on the average ride..

Im a nice person but I dont feel like answering 100 questions on every ride.. Ive been a taxi cab passenger and an Uber passenger and I have never got in the vehicle questioning the driver like that.. same philosophy is when they try to bring extra people. I also cancel and immediately tell uber about it. I cancel and wait the 5 minutes and select the rider isn't here. Uber needs an option that says too many riders and they need to get hit with a big cancellation fee so they quit doing it.

I see this all the time, I work in retail where people would buy a truck load of stuff and when they walk out the store they have no idea how they're gonna get it home. Then they want the employees to help them as though its our job to see to it that you get home with all that stuff. I've had to politely tell them that they should've thought of it before they got to the store.

Uber has quite a few issues on both the passenger and driver side. Had to report a driver the other day because he was texting while driving.... while also driving over the speed limit at night in the rain.

But I have stopped permanently after an incident a week ago Saturday, when one of my riders attacked and assaulted me - injured me so badly, had to go to the ER. Uber did NOTHING about it at all. It taught me that if anything serious does happen, the driver is on their own! Uber will not “have your back” at all. Now, I feel that Uber/Lyft drivers should be made aware of this because many are not...until it’s too late! Peace brother and keep posting cool videos!

I did Uber for a while and at one point I had to use my brand new pick up truck since my regular vehicle was gone for maintenance. I had the weirdest requests while ubering with my truck but the best was while driving this asian lady she ask me if I could help her with an errand and requested I stopped at her brother's house. I gladly did since it was on the way. When we got to the brother, she directed me to the garage and out of the blue said " I need to move these things back to my house, can we put this in your truck?" The "things" she wanted me to carry was literally a full house! Fridge, stove, washer dryer, 3 sofas.... I declined, asked her to get back in the truck and drove her straight to her final destination. She complained about me and uber lowered her fare by half ! Obviously, who had to pay for the "discounted fare...." me ! I stopped driving for Uber that week.

As Uber Drivers we are expected to do irrational, unreasonable, non profit BULLCRAP. I had a few teens try to stuff an unconscious young man into my car one night. I drove away and called 911. While I waited around the corner for the cops I watched them stuff this young man into a backseat of a parked car. They were all drunk. It would've been a 55 minute, 5x's surge ride but all I kept thinking is, What if he dies or regains consciousness during the ride? I was thankful that I accepted the call. The boy was treated for alcohol poisoning. What if a different driver picked him up? Your story brought back nightmares like the lady with the poor fleabag dog. Took weeks to debug my damn car and my weave. OMG!!! Love your channel!!!

Ya in the moment all I could say in my head was “wtf”. Some people just amaze me
I had a ride a few weeks ago who: A.) Called for an Uber Pool ride with one passenger indicated, B.) Showed up at my car with FIVE very drunk people (4 guys, 1 girl) intending to ride, C.) I'm not happy with the overcrowding (my car is a Ford Focus that realistically seats three passengers in the back and one in the front) but I decide to mark the ride picked up - whereupon I find out that they had made their pickup point and their destination the same place, D.) Are too drunk to figure out the app to set up a correct destination, E.) After noting the girl in the back has passed out, I decide to cancel the ride (not charging the rider as we haven't gone anywhere yet) and tell everyone "the ride is canceled", whereupon one of the four guys with the passed out girl tries to bribe me with $50 to take them where they want to go - off of Uber's grid. Yeah. Not happening.
With every tickmark of this encounter, I was becoming firmly of the belief that this ride should not happen - at least not in my car. When it became apparent that I was not taking them anywhere, the guy with the $50 bribe hilariously called me "stupid" for turning down a $50 ride to an unknown destination with five people who in all likelihood would be spewing chunks before we got to where they wanted to go AND might all pass out before we got there - leaving me with five passed out drunks, a car filled with vomit, and no way to know where they were going. $50 wouldn't even BEGIN to cover the clean-up of vomit in the car.

The fun begins when they’re puking so hard that they’re pissing your seats too. Nooop $50 won’t even get the clean up started. Not to mention the loss of revenue for at minimum the rest of the evening. Can you smell it now?
Smart move to avoid the throw up in the car. It cost about $200 to have it professionally cleaned but the smell stays around for months.
I rolled up to a customer the other day in NC and they actually had 12 garbage bags full of clothes, two hampers full of clothing, an iron board, microwave, convection oven, two bedroom end tables, two lamps, two child car seats, and two sets of boxsprings and mattresses and other furniture in the apartment they were just evicted from. Luckily, they offered to tie the box spring and mattress sets to my 2017 Honda Fit’s roof. They actually told me it may take 7-8 trips, but they’d tie the mattresses to my Honda Fit! 😂😂 I drove away, got my 5 bucks, got a double middle finger from the customer and moved on. You can’t make this shit up.

One time our neighbor lady wanted to borrow my moms car to go get two goats. My mom asked her why she couldn't use her own car and gave the same reason. She didn't want to mess her car up. Obviously my mom told her to piss off. That lady wasn't really with it 98% of the time.

It would be great if uber had a system where you could request a large vehicle or a vehicle with a trailer, with a driver willing to help carry big items. There's definitely a need for that kind of service but just expecting a regular driver to take your shit is crazy haha

Got to be careful of what some of these people put in our cars. I learn this the hard way when I first started uber 2 years ago, I let some lady put a bowl of some type of garlic dish in my car, it spilled and the smell took a month to come out. I got so many complaints I had to let uber know one of their customers spilled it. They took the complaints off my record but for a month I had to literally every hour spray the car down with febreeze and apologize to every passenger just in case they still smelled it. It was bad!

It was at the start of his day in downtown Chicago. It’s month of being an Uber driver. He pulls up and a woman is waiting. Rather than go to whatever place, she hits on him and flirts.. he avoids that and explains what he is doing. Being a driver. She says:
Wait, Uber is to drive people? I only have the app so I can meet a guy with a great car and drive me around. So can I get my money back?
Freight brokers would accept 3 bicycles as an LTL shipment. LTL = Less Than Load = it does not fill a cargo vehicle to capacity. Uber is ride share. Cargo is freight.
