Hey i just started uber recently. I put all my eggs in one basket. I used the last of my money to get a rental everything went wrong got to drive for one day but they gave me my money back and got another rental for the week yesterday i got a false report of a physical altercation. I dont know to do ive been unemployed for 3 months i was so happy working for uber. I cant ride with lyft becuase the age requirement is 25 im only 23 i need any advice on appealing this. I just told them what happened i thought there was no way they would ban me becuase nothing happened.
You got me on that one, until the very end I thought that you were really deactivated and that was going to be the last we heard from you. It is unfortunate that false reports are such an issue. Then again what do you expect when the company (and not just Uber) encourages false reports by not having any risk to the rider for consequences, and the driver is guilty until proven innocent. I think Kevin (the Apptrepenur) had a good idea. If a report is proven to be false, charge the rider $400 or so and give that money to the driver for lost income during the "investigation". You'll see false reports drop almost instantly, Sometimes I wonder how many drivers are wrongly deactivated over a false report. As former talk show host, Arsenio Hall used to say "not jokes but things that make you go HMMMM."

I think all drivers should have it with a dash cam.

This is no April Fool's response. Yesterday I got an email from Uber warning me of deactivation because a rider claimed he/she got into an argument with me and I made them feel uncomfortable. I sent a message back letting them know that this was a Fake Report of some rider trying to get freebies from Uber. I rarely even speak to riders other than greeting them when they get in and wishing them a good day when they exit. If they do try to engage in small talk, I just respond in one or two word answers until they stop asking questions. Once you engage in full blown conversations, you are vulnerable to them not liking something you say or your opinion, and then reporting you. So back to the my issue, I told Uber I had Dashcam video of all my rides, so let me know who complained so I could send them the video of that rider to prove they were lying. Uber then sent a response that because of their Privacy policy, they couldnt give out names of riders. I responded, that I know the names of all the riders because I ask them their names when they enter my car and its all recorded on dashcam. Uber then stated, they were in no way accussing me of anything, but just for “safety” they wanted to inform me of the report. I replied, so for my “safety” and the “safety” of other drivers that might be affected by this lying rider, I want to submit my dashcam footage to prove they lied, because I did not argue, let alone have any conversations with any of my riders, so this Fake reporting rider needs to be deactivated, I also told them, that without proof, never ever send me one of these “warning” messages because they are causing me undue stress and anxiety and I might need to go see a doctor because of it. After numerous requests for an answer, Uber has chosen not to reply. So today, I'm going to the Uber and talk to someone in person. Lets see what happens

Myself Rumman. I was trip in 2019 in 25 august . The driver dropped me n my younger brother through long route..he know ,that we dnt know nothing about our destination routes. That's y he dropped us by long routes with over charged in payment.. that's okk ,no problem.. But the thing is ,the bill actual was 222 when the uber booked,after reached the destination the bill was 444.23,we shovked just doubled, we paid all the money's in rupees 450 .he also return us 5 rupees... Now driver complained wrong to uber ,he was lying..it's crime to publicly... Either uber Should gave us always slip , or appoint a true ,honest driver. Kindly advise and suggest for this issue.
