Another ace video Max I’m now a paralysed cyclist after being hit so think might need an ebike for the long climbs Got to get to Majorca though . Love the channel , exactly why we all love cycling 🚴
I was there a few weeks ago, end of September. Funny enough - I rented same Pinarello, on Ultegra and rim brakes (7 days rental, 199 Eur). But I didn't hate it, actually I quite liked it. And these Ultegra rim brakes weren't terrible. At home I ride SL7 but I didn't dare to ship it overseas - shipping cost is one thing but all hassle with preparations, risk of damage etc. Another point is that with rented bike you have always a chance to call for technical support in case of issues. With regards to the route - I stayed in Palmanova so my very first trip was almost exactly same as yours in this video. And very quickly I realised that I should have ridden it the other way around (i.e. anti-clock wise): the views are WAY better when you're closer to the seaside. Also descents from Valdemossa and Banyalbufar are breathtaking - but when you ride them from east to west. Two days later I took almost same loop in the "correct" direction and it was pure bless. Great video, see you next year in Mallorca 😉😉
I did the coastal road the other way yesterday- East to West and yes, the views, especially in the evening with the sun setting was simply spectacular. Looking forward to sharing it
Know what you mean about bike rental now. Its gone up a lot recently and you don't always get what you expect either. Had that experience in Calpe last year, so this year I'm deffo going to take my own bike this December. Like I always did years ago.
Hi there me and the hubster went cycling in Majorca we did a couple of coastal rides, got lost a few times 😂, but it was hilly on the Liv Langma bike we hired, I missed my specialized with D2 electric gears. I hope you enjoyed it in the cooler months 😊
Yes sir- it’s a long hall of baggage belts. The bike boxes will ALWAYS be right down the end (this depends which end you enter the hall- so if you get in the hall and don’t see a sign for bikes, go all the way to the other end). 👌🏻 Enjoy the trip
@chazave yeah sure, its not mine either, that's understood but the content is far more professional when the correct pronunciation is used. It's not that hard.
Do you pronounce everything in it's native way, such a BMW the German way, Nissan the Japanese way? No you don't, people can say what they want, you're not the word police.
When you make your own sometimes its hard to know which roads have good surfaces or are suitable for bikes. Otherwise its easy enough to jump on komoot, all trails, strava or any app and ping it over. Usually locals make routes on Komoot and this one was shared by the Rapha account on Komoot
@thewattlife with EasyRoute you can check the road surface because it interfaces with google StreetView allowing you to check road conditions where needed. Komoot is a lottery, some good routes, but some really awful ones....you never know what you'll get. Better to take control yourself.
@@thewattlife ......really? i will be glad to see the back of them to tell the truth - all these greedy cycling companies are struggling now after exploiting customers for years
They're not going bankrupt. They're owned by RZC /Waltons who are happy to roll another year or two of £26m losses. It's not pretty, but that's capitalism.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Mallorca has been so great, something for everyone, so hopefully you get the chance to make it happen ✌🏻
Keep these coming Max, gonna be there in a short while so all insider knowledge much appreciated.

Beautiful views and beautiful road..👏
Great day and almost happy we got to do the coast route instead

You'll never regret taking your own bike, theres always a chance youll regret it if you dont
The wheels with the white details look fire, awesome
Awesome thank you for saying- I got the decals printed up 🙂
That's interesting - where did you go for the decals and application?
Hey Max
When do you plan to visit Watopia?

The weather was perfect for us- even on the hot days it wasn’t baking to the point of dying. October is perfect
I am shopping around for a 2nd bike to use for international travel as bit nervous to take my current bike as it is no longer in production...
It’s so easy to be emotionally attached to your bike huh- what sort of second bike are you looking for for? Aero? Light weight?
@@thewattlife Thinking to buy Gusto Cobra Evo or Bross Vegabond Aero
Have you considered the Buxum Bike Box? It was a game changer for me.
Nive video! Can't go wrong on Mallorca! How many kgs is your bikebox with everything in it when travelling with EasyJet?
Mine was about 28kg. With easyJet you can have up to 32kg. Never go with BA as they are always 23kg… 👌🏻
Nice, heading over to Mallorca tomorrow from Oslo for Rapha escape, bringing my own bike, is there a special belt at the airport in Palma for bikebags?
Yes sir- it’s a long hall of baggage belts. The bike boxes will ALWAYS be right down the end (this depends which end you enter the hall- so if you get in the hall and don’t see a sign for bikes, go all the way to the other end). 👌🏻

Enjoy your rides.
Easytours has grouprides daily til 26.10

Mallorca local here - fyi it’s pronounced Andratch. Not Andrax. And Soyer, not Soller.
Than you man, will adjust for tomorrows ride
😂
Tbf - it’s not his native tongue

Forget Komoot. Make your own with EasyRoute and upload to your head unit.

A cost effective solution 😊
Book on Friday flew on Monday!!! Works for me
Don’t want to be that Guy… But I’d sit on that Wheel all day too… 🤔😂👍🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️
Good idea to quit while you're ahead. 😀
Going to Mallorca in May for the third time. 🚴♂
Can I come- I know some good routes

It was gorgeous especially in the early morning
Donde Paris?

Thought Rapha were going bankrupt?
🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ well they weren’t even open for coffees so I couldn’t help them in that situation
