You see that, Netflix? No manufactured drama, no misrepresentation of the sport, no lazy cliffhangers... Just humanity, honest emotion and respect for the sport and the riders. That's how it's done. So emotional seeing Jonas, Wout and all the team. Best time to be a cycling fan 🙌🏼
I disagree massively with his. I wouldn’t be watching this without the Netflix show, my girlfriend would have zero interest in cycling without the Netflix show, which she binged in a week. This is excellent work, really well done, but it’s also horses for courses. I’m also a massive Rugby League fan and I wish Netflix would manufacture the extra interest in the sport that they did for cycling. The manufactured drama and introduction of the riders as characters to non fans is more important for the growth of the sport than accuracy for the fans it has already. Definitely don’t disagree that this is a great time to be a cycling fan, and I’m only just starting that journey (outside of casual TDF watching) now. Peace!
The Netflix doc TDF Unchained is actually pretty good unlike the one they make for F1 called ‘Drive to Survive’ which is overly dramatized, misrepresenting the sport and heavily edited to fit a narrative that aligns with Netflix’s goals of creating a storyline for a broader audience and lacks technical insights. TDF Unchained feels much more authentic, and balanced while still capturing the intense drama of the sport without overly manufacturing it. It’s a good one.
It is really a privilege to see a male role model that can actually show emotion and be openly vulnerable without shying away from his feelings. Jonas is truly a great athlete, as are all the Bees, but he also seems so genuine and wholesome as a person. Long after his athletic achievements are over, the people in his life will still be impacted by his character. Huge chapeau from Greece ❤❤
The fact that Jonas could race, and in a very high level, was a miracle. Of course, for someone who won 2 times, second is not ideal, but considering the circuntances, it was a great result, he should be proud.
It was very clear that Jonas was afraid going downhill and that he was lacking acceleration that would allow him to break Pogacar or stay on the wheel. It is amazing he was there and as competitive ass he was.
Hes given up power for weight gain, personally i would advise him to put a bit if weight back on and retreave that power he use to have, then he can stay on the wheel@jenspetersen5865
The last portion of Jonas's statement should remind us about the virtues: This is what we choose to do when things are not as they should be, just keep fighting, in the end, success is about just keep moving forward. "The obstacle becomes the way" ... Bravo Jonas!
Love these free documentaries. Everyone on the team is so likable, love how supportive Wout and Jonas are of each other, despite all the media fabricated beef.
Slovenian cycling fan here, diehard fan of Tadej Pogacar obviously. Jonas and Team Visma - Chapeu and respect from every aspect! It is a privilege watching you race, being resilient and never giving up. Pure joy and exitement for us, spectators, who are cheering for our favourites as much as we can, but also LOVE and respect and appreciate the amount of suffering, teamwork, tactics, respect given and everything else that opponents are showing day in, day out. You Jonas are a class act and amazing rider! Can wait for next years Tour with you and Pogi hopefully both healthy and in peak form!
Team Visma always appeared very methodical and robotic but these behind the scenes really makes you appreciate the humans behind the world class cyclists: Jonas, Wout, Matteo, Nathan....all amazing people. Beautiful documentary
Nathan is the best of friends and a man with a great heart.. We all need a Matteo in our lives. He is so positive, ready to support his teammates even when he himself is struggling
this is what this sport is all about. It's easy to be overwhelmed by Pogacar's dominance, but it also takes courage and perseverance like what Jonas and Visma team have shown. Thank you guys for showing this sport more human side, as the way the the next generations of cycling industry and the fan should know about.
Usually, I must say I am a Pogi fan with UAE. But seeing the courage Jonas had to come back at this level is truly phenomenal. Props to him and such a joy to see a great team around him. Shoutout to Visma-LAB for making such a free quality documentary as this one.
After last year, Pogacar was my favourite, but Vingegaard is now by far the one... the whole situation. for the team and for him... this year is a real proof of strength. Pogacar is the best now and is the media favourite. last year, the problem in the wrist of Pogacar was always there... the weaker team... but nothing like this year... the crash of Vingegaard... and Roglic and Remco and WVA.... Vingegaard and the team is in the heart of many with this video... I just hope that the team realised that Vingegaard, as he said, did the performance of his life... well, if all goes without major inconvenience, his level is going to be much higher... thanks for this super demonstration of all that goes inside the team, the people, and the champions
I just love this team, confident yet modest and genuine. Such bad luck this year with endless crashes. Hopefully that's it and everything only goes up from here. ❤
What a true athlete Jonas is. He never stopped fighting, he never stopped trying... and that, for all of us who are enthusiastic/amateur cyclists, is the best he can give us. Thanks for the best Tour de France in years. Best regards from Argentina!
Can we please talk about what an amazing companion Matteo is? It moves me to tears how he effortlessly finds sincere compliments and encouraging words! 🥹🫶🏻
Thanks a lot Team Visma for making such great documentaries. Keep them coming. They really show the emotions within the team. I cried watching Nathan's message, I laughed watching Wout's son, I got goosebumps watching Jonas' fights in the TDF and I need someone like Matteo on my side always!
Thanks for making this video. We really wouldn't know how much it meant for the rider without knowing the stories behind, Nathan is such an inspiration. Wout and Jonas' resilient is something we all need to learn from.
Salute to Jonas, WVA and the whole team! It's amazing to come back to the top shape despite multiple big crashes! Great performance! And a great documentary, better than netflix!
Thank you to the staff for creating such a wonderful video. It was put filmed and edited so well. I really enjoy watching these videos that go behind the scenes. Chapeau for capturing the raw emotion of the team. To Jonas, Wout, Jan, Matteo, Tiesj, Wilco, Christophe, and Bart: You guys are an inspiration and it is a huge achievement to finish second in the GC after going through so many hardships this year. Great job!
What a testament of his prowess for Jonas to come back like this. You combine that with his humble and genuine talk, and it's impossible not to want to see him win. And that message from Nathan...
Oh! There's Tears in heaven! Jonas is true Winner 👑🏆🥇🚴♀of his own life this year. Wout is great fighter ⚔🤼♂🚴 of hard and difficulties. Matteo is upcoming challenger 🏹🗽🚴♂ for TDF next years. Love you all and Good luck! for coming years. ♥♥♥👍👍👍
It takes time to recover from a big crash, certainly when it was a downhill crash. Last January I had a massive crash myself. It was actually Ben Healy who helped me out, he was the first guy (and maybe even the only other rider that day on that hill) who went down the same hill (near Panta de Sesqueda) and he could stop without crashing... I was lucky to wear a helmet (it was totally broken), without it....... My wife had to take care of our cat by herself... I'm still not fully recovered. Although physically I am really recovered. With a big scar on my knee and my left leg... Mentally I'm not over it yet. It takes more time. Vingegaard (and also Evenepoel, Wout, and all the other riders who suffered big crashes) are really heroes! Many heroes don't wear capes. I actually know many heroes who wear a Visma-Lease a Bike jersey :-) Come on Killer Bees! Vamos en Espana!
this has been the most entertaining tour for some time. I have been torn between Jonas and Tadej for the win. congratulations to Jonas on this unbelievable triumph after such a horrific accident.
Man… this was absolutely great viewing. Well done on the team creating this! The drama, spirit, the resilience against the very on form Tadej is just brilliant. Jonas and the team you should be very proud of yourselves! Cycling is great because of you guys and all the pros in the cycling too. Best wishes in all of your future events and I’ll be watching always. 🫡
Matteo is such a class act, really happy he's on this team. Great moral support, and he has had such a great personal improvement on Visma Lease a Bike.
Utmost respect to Team Visma and the team behind Inside the Beehive. You've put together an intimate, unbiased, and inspiring documentary of Le Tour, for free on TH-cam. Jonas is obviously a hero, but so are many others in your team. I'm a Tadej fan personally, but it's extremely inspiring to see such a fair and accurate insight
The scene with Nathan VanH’s voice message: beautiful. This is the stuff we need to see more of, sport elevating humans to higher levels of connection and mutual support.
My very best compliments to all of these "Inside the Beehive" videos. You are able to show the human side of pro cycling, and there are not very many videos that can do this. Your videos are always informative, sensitive to the riders' feelings, and emotional. Keep up the good work guys. In addition, congratulations to the Visma-Lease a Bike team for all that the team has done this season. Despite all the bad luck the team incurred throughtout the season, you continued to show that you are one of the best teams in the world. Let's hope for another super positive season in 2025, and, above all, no more bad luck!
It is a great team work. The team spirit, the resilience, the respect for opponent, all amazing. It is the character that matters and you all are extraordinary champions.
Well represented credit where credit's due. To everyone in the race. Sometimes things don't swing in your favor and seems like you can't catch a f****ng break, but the resiliance was awarded in many forms we may yet to discover down the road... Congrats on a great team and individual performance, regardless of the circumstances. Respect. Although I'm a Pogi fan, I couldn't help but cheering Jonas on to have Tadej earn his victory. I said before the race started that Jonas will be top 3 even with half the lungs as he is simply that good of a GC rider. Anyways, be safe out there, looking forward to the next edition of TdF. By the looks of things, we're in for a treat. Cheers from Slovenia.
Really proud of what Team Visma has achieved. Friendship, respect and respect for each other, dedication to the team, all these things make me love this team. I'm really looking forward to next year TDF.
Damn i feel bad for jonas, he really didnt know what was coming did he. What a champion though. Fair play and thanks for making the tour entertaining for longer than anyone else would!

But with real, FULL honesty … it would be nice to also see the doping that took place. 💉💪🏻🚴🏻♂️
you know every interview is recorded after tfd?
I disagree massively with his. I wouldn’t be watching this without the Netflix show, my girlfriend would have zero interest in cycling without the Netflix show, which she binged in a week. Yeah the 1st season was good as it was in F1. The 2nd was waaaayyy too dramatic

I need somebody in my life who believes in me as much as Matteo believes in Jonas
You hawe a great heart my guy.
Totally agree, especially when Matteo goes full gas to give Jonas the opportunity to win it. And when Jonas falters, Matteo says "why not me?"
Well, you have to earn trust and believe. When you show your friends and family you are worth believing in, people will do it
@@onepunchbud1472 That's assuming those other people aren't douchebags to begin with.
He is such a golden addition to the team. They need this kind of open enthusiasm, the American way of being cheered on 🎉
Let's talk about Wout's son asking where Jonas is.
That was so cute.
Too cute that one, shows that Jonas and Wout's bond is so real.
Yeaaaaaah, i thought the same 😊
Matteo is the hype man we all need in our lives!
Gosh Nathan. You had me in tears. Can’t imagine how Wout and Jonas felt ❤
I love how Matteo's goal is just "help Jonas". What a guy.
This is 1000 times better than the Netflix series.
I thought that was the images we will see in Netflix next season
@@Nicomacchiato that's what i thought too because the background and music resembles the unchained
facts
@@LyfeisByke I agree. Netflix series looks contrived, always in search of drama, fake..this is so raw, intimate, inspiring.
The Netflix series was quite good and it also covered multiple teams, giving those not intricately familiar with this sport, a quick look inside it.

As a big Tadej fan here, congrats to Jonas. He's a true champion with many battles left to come.

So very true,I agree. He did an excellent Tour all things considered,he needs to be proud of himself.
Jonas missed explosiveness if compared to last year.
It's a total miracle he was able to get 2nd after nearly being killed or permanently harmed in that crash.
Hes given up power for weight gain, personally i would advise him to put a bit if weight back on and retreave that power he use to have, then he can stay on the wheel@jenspetersen5865
I love how the team has created an atmosphere of emotional acceptance.
No macho, no repression of feelings, but real friendship and support.
matteo should be the best teammate ever, smiling and giving compliment after those crash
I wish there were a special jersey for the best teammate. Matteo would have no rivals for it
