Tony Rice and Jerry Garcia are two of my favorites. Love the version of this they play together on The Pizza Tapes with David Grisman. What a great tribute from Tony to dedicate this song to him five years after he passed.
What only 130 thumbs up! Top notch musicians right there man! Never be another Tony "God broke that mold-sure lots of imitators but so few innovators" God Bless
Well, what can one say? First, what a wonderful thing Tony did dedicating this to Jerry. Second, the two of them had never met until David Grisman introduced them in 1993. There are things in music one always wished woulda happened and, for me, I wish they would’ve met many years before and played together so much more. Maybe, if there is guitar heaven, those two boys are jammin’ their asses off.❤
A master at work. Both Tony and Wyatt. My buddy has lessons that he took with wyatt in tape! I have seen them and they are wild. Ny buddyhas a bluegrass degree from ETSU!

Never tire of listening to such songs when they're played by such fine musicians.

Superbe ! *********
Wyatt tore it up as well
It is indeed brother Wyatt.
God tier pickin
Boy that looks like Josh Williams on mandolin, but I think of him as a guitar player/singer.
Then tony rips
is that his brother, Wyatt Rice, on Tony's left?
Awesome lineup. I prefer Josh W. on mando with this lineup, but he's a flash on both anyhow.
ditto
As is mandolin
GD cigarettes
@1crow Tony suffers from dysphonia, probably caused by smoking.
What's with Tony's voice; He looks and sounds like he's battled cancer or something.
