    Remember, people... if it's a "may" search effect, like in Ranger-Captain of Eos, you can simply choose not to search to deny your opponent a card if Opposition Agent is out.

    That ending is why its often a good idea to put a shuffle effect card like a titan in a cedh deck if there is a slot for it. Some of them fit really well into slower stax decks or where you can cheet them out in other ways

    Just out of curiosity, could anyone explain why Nick wouldn't flash in Opposition Agent in response to Alex cracking his fetchland? It seemed like the best value he'd be getting out of it.

      Greed. People always want to hit a proper tutor of it but strip mining someone t1 is amazing and it was a misplay not to.

    • @fosterdawson7339
      @fosterdawson7339 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sort of. If he plays it then, people will start playing around it and he doesn’t get as much value, plus it might get removed earlier and not stop people from doing worse things. Getting a land is fine but you’d rather show the mana for it and pretend you don’t have it so that people tutor for more relevant cards that you can steal

      Nick here. My thought process is, if you are going to take someone out of the game by turn one oppoing their fetch. You need to be aiming to win within a turn or two or you have a hand that can deal with your other two opponents. I had neither of those things. So taking him out of the game, very well could have been detrimental to me myself winning. I have had people take me out of games with similar plays then they could do nothing while some other opponent combos off and wins while I am sitting there with unplayable interaction.

    Ah, yes, Brain Freeze with as much as the general meta plays Breach Freeze, Turbo naus, and Thoracle I'm surprised there hasn't been that much of a rise in stax style decks.
    Personally, I've been on the Jorn stasis lock deck.
    Recently had a 3-hour game cause everyone refused to concede to my Orb of dreams, Stasis, Forsaken City hard lock in hopes they would draw a way to remove stasis that couldn't be countered. 😂 stubborn play group...
