- Hey you beautiful people! Today is the day that I take on this epic journey of embellishing my purple acrylic pour! I hope you love the results as much as I do.
The theme of this embellished pour is transformation. There is definitely a bit of symbolic imagery in this painting.

YES, girl! I have been planning on embellishing some pours with oils and this is truly inspiring! I come from a realistic oil background so pouring has been quite a change in direction... a good change, though! This piece is absolutely stunning! I have lupus and the color for the disease is purple and the symbol is the butterfly so I'm particularly fond of this one! ☺😍😍😍

Really great pour-trait Lydia! ☺ It feels light in texture but it's got a depth that enriches the purples, and the hands being semi-transparent (like through a veil possibly) give it a nice touch (kinda punny? Maybe...) You achieved what you set out to do Lydia: make a symbolic painting that gives the viewer something new to appreciate every time they come back to it. I know I get something new out of the Reality Architect painting every time I look at it ❤. Love you!

In your first video creating the background, you talked about amethyst crystals. I think this painting represents the meaning beautifully. Peace, tranquility and calming. It’s really beautiful, I love the butterflies, very cleverly done. You deserved many more pats on the back than you gave yourself. Awesome work.

Lovely result. Funny but i thought of dojng this a few months ago, but couldnt bring myself to "waste" one of my dutch pours. So carried on keeping my oil portraits separate. But now I see there is so much potential, definitely going tp try it. What size canvas was this?

Absolutely lovely work! Was looking forward to seeing this pour embellished. I confess I cringed when you mentioned flowers and thought "Oh my, she's going to add flowers and I don't know about that". But the butterflies were a homerun. Great idea skillfully executed. Side thought - how many days before the spray painted hand is devoid of speckles?

@@lydiabroderick867 really! I honestly thought you’d been to art college or something, your knowledge of MichelAngelo for instance, is insane. I too love the artists of the renaissance, I’d love to visit the Sistine Chapel and just lay on the floor for hours staring at the ceiling! People tripping over me, the lot, I’d just be in heaven. I’m not educated in the arts either, I draw portraits but nothing on your scale. I just love the freedom of expression and being able to be yourself, complete self abandonment, it’s so healing and also freeing from the daily drivel. (Unfortunately I’m terminally ill, free abandon is just wonderful).

Do you use a reference photo, or just wing it for the portrait
I do both. Most of the time I use a reference photo though. Either taken by myself or a royalty free photo from unsplash.com or pexels.com
