Very cool concept! My Mother wore the beehive hairstyle for years! But I also think it represents your personality. When spicy Lydia is out and about it’s like you have a “bee in your bonnet!” You’re amazing! Thank you for your videos. Sooo much better than regular television!
Love the concept 😁, really does give the effect of a beehive in a literal sense and it works 👌🏻🙌🏻, I remember my mom used to wear beehives!! The hanger on the corner was a great solution. Love the fun quirky feel. Colours and layout all work ❤❤
I like the concept abstract realism …. And the intermixing of Nature, abstraction, sampling. Its really fun and opens up into dreaming streams of consciousnes and creates a limitless approach the process of creative painting processes 🎶💜🎵🦄
Thank you Lis! I really love how you worded this. It's a beautiful quote. I wrote it down and put on my fridge. I love inspirational quotes... They keep me motivated.❤❤❤
Fantastic!!! The colors fabulous. The tones on her skin & hair, love! How you highlighted around her & the flowers! This is a totally cool concept!! Yes, more!
Love the concept. I'd like to know more about your grid process. Once you said a diagonal grid because you don't like to measure. The very reason I only used the grid method once. I'm an oil artist. Always have been because of the earthy colors. Acrylics seemed plasticity to me. But their mediums are awesome
Hi Amelia! Thank you! I hate wasting time measuring so I draw lines corner to corner then a line vertically down the middle and one horizontally across the middle. It's way quicker.
Oh Yes! Love the bee head woman and the colors, design and the diagonal concept. Question about the oil paint finishing - just highlight areas, not the entire painting, right? Skin colors were beautiful and the oil peacock blue hair strands. Great! Thanks for sharing.
I Bee-lieve this is one of my favorites! The blue background really pops againt the comp' yellow and pink... Hey I like working with stencils sometimes and I was curious, have you ever used an airbrush with them? I bought a cheapy one on Amazon cus I'm crap otherwise lol... But I used it in a bokeh background fine misting circles of varying size and density and it work awesome!!
Hi Janina, no I never did the mastery program. I wanted to, but didn't have the time or money to do it. Full time job, mortgage and being a mom was the priority. I think what they offer is an amazing program though if you have the time and money to invest.
I love the work you do! You’re so talented! Question, did you train with the Milan Art Institute? Your process is very similar to what they teach, which is why I was wondering. Can’t wait for more videos!!
Thank you! I never did the mastery program with the Milan Art Institute. However, I did do the oil painting essentials course when I was just starting out with oil paint. Super helpful!
@@lydiabroderick867 I absolutely love your painting style and personality as well. I discovered your channel recently and going through all your videos 😁 Love them all and I appreciate sharing your amazing creative process. I am a hobbist artist myself and considering the Milan mastery program but also as a more economical solution the oil painting course they offer. Since you undertook this one would you say it was worth the expense compared to the other courses available in skillshare, etc. I would love to know your opinion on this.
@@mariaf8775 Thank you Maria! I haven't explored Skillshare at this point. But I can highly recommend the Milan Oil course. It's far more affordable and if you're only looking to learn about oils, it's a great place to get a basic understanding of oil paint. The Milan course makes it pretty simple to start. I do think it's worth it, but there may be something equally good or even better on Skillshare. Let me know what you end up doing!
@@lydiabroderick867 Thank you so much for your reply! I am already enrolled in skillshare and do have some knowledge about oil painting and mediums as well as their theory on cool and warm colors. So I was wondering if I would get something more valuable in their course than oil painting basics
@@mariaf8775 If you already have the basics of oil painting, I wouldn't bother with the Milan course. I think it's more aimed toward people who have never worked with oils. It might just reiterate knowledge you already have. Hope that helps!
You’re amazing!! You give new meaning to a beehive hairdo. Always entertaining! And I always look forward to your videos. I have an idea for you. I’ll send you a message on Facebook

Thanks Angela! You are correct... I don't use oils on the entire painting. Just to emphasize certain areas.☺

I love everything but the pink stripes they remind me of my hairdressing salon but I love the concept and love your channel

Could you pls link the glass pallette that you use … ur work is fantastic ❤
Thank you! It's actually an old glass top to a side table. I just painted the back of it.

Thanks Rose! It's not my art on the sweatshirt, but it is my favorite warm hoodie.❤☺

The original bee hive hair from the 50’s lol
I thought that too!😁
