I watched this video just to listen and my daughter said to me "what's your obsession with this guy MA?" I’m struggling right now. My borderline personality disorder wife has been emotionally and verbally abusing me. I filed for divorce but struggling because I love her so much. She believes I’ve been cheating when I haven’t. I don’t know what else to do 😢. We were supposed to be each others forever. It’s tragic to me. I could use prayers. How are you dealing ? I’m going through this right now and I’m broken I need to learn some steps to put myself first
Sadly & thankfully, I was forced to learn this lesson and have truly learned who really just loved me for me. Once I got to a point where I could no longer be of use to many many people, who I thought would be there for me no matter what, I never really saw those people again unless I just happen to end up at a place they were also at. I do understand they have been living with their own challenges & may even feel the same way about me.
BUT the difference is that I'm trying so hard to work on myself despite how dark the storm I've been in has been for years & years & years AND that I have never once knowingly said words that I knew would hurt them to them.
I think at some point that if 2 people are having to constantly set boundaries for one another then maybe we could just agree to disagree but especially to just be civil to eachother so there will be less collateral damage to those who love the both of us. I've quickly learned that the toxic person is very very offended by this bc it doesn't meet the requirements of how they want their life to appear to others & they absolutely will not acknowledge that they could possibly be in the wrong - that's how you know. ♡♡♡
