I can't understand because they are blocks on a log, and I still give them the utmost respect and sound advice. But after granny passed, I distanced myself and never had so much peace. 🙏🏾

You can't understand them because you are not like them. Hurt people hurt people sometimes. My mom and sister is so mean to me. They say mean and hurt words. I have learned to say less to nothing. I keep my distance. At the end of the day they need me more than I need them. I'm more at peace everyday without them. Sending love and prayers ❤.

When you said, "when you choose you..." it blew my mind. Years ago I went to a Christian seminar where they did the life boat exercise. Where you are given 5 sticks and you can choose only five to go in the life boat including yourself if you want. I ended up not choosing myself. But when it came to finding who would be in the life boat I found I had the max number of sticks, but then they asked who choose to live, I didn't. If I would have choose myself I would have been in the life boat. That always stuck with me, but if you look at my life I stopped choosing myself. I recently went no contact with my very abusive hateful mother. I couldn't take the abuse any longer I had my fill. I still feel guilty every once in a while but then I am reminded that she choose to treat me like the enemy I didn't. I found you on Mel Robbins. I loved what you had to say. I am now dealing with toxic friends and deciding to I keep them in my life or just limit them in my life. You came in my life just at the right time. God bless you

I just went no contact with my family. I feel some guilt but I was so miserable before I did that. Now, I feel so much peace. No more drama, lies, deceit, hateful and degrading words. I finally saw my worth and set them boundaries. Family disrespected them boundaries time and time again, but that built me up in strength to know that it was time to cut contact. They hated it and have said so much stuff (lies) about me. They want a reaction. I refuse to react. Instead, I will hand my entire life to God and let his guidance get me through this hard life.

Never a truer word has been spoken. A cousin called and asked if I could order something for her on Amazon, that it would be $60. When I called her back to tell her when she should expect the package and was $66.51 with tax. She sent a check for $60. When I asked where the tax was, she said," I don't pay tax ". So, when she called at tax time asking for $20,000, I said a big fat NOPE.....

Oh so true!! That's what I did set a boundary. He's gone!! Was pimping me all along. 😮.. His loss.. so selfish. He justified it by saying his Sister tolerated it for her husband. Wanted me to keep doling out money like a fool. He owes me money. But he will get his. What comes around goes around.✌️. Yes gotcha on that depression. Sad that people mistreat other people like that. Yes he also tried telling everyone how bad I was. Just because I was trying to get him to be accountable.

Love Bombed me . Treated me like I was a king the first couple months. Like if she was obsessed with me . Then forcing me to be in a relationship. Which I was declining because we was only hanging out. Then created a plan about having no place to go in a particular day so I can let her stay with me for couple weeks until she find her place. Then convincing me to be in the relationship with eventually had later on. Then asking me for a baby. Then when I refused her real personality came out. Yelling at me all the time. Chocking me . Beating me up . Having attitude with me . Then when I threatened her to move out and move on . Went back to her love bombing. Destroying me emotionally. And financially. And abusing me verbally and physically. Creating ghost stories in her mind to accuse me about stuff I wasn't doing. Etc ..

Trent you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. I have been so hurt by my brother and I have always been by his side no matter what. I have loved him unconditionally. We lost our Mother 2 years ago. 3 years prior he didn’t even talk to my Mom and I was the one to take care of her and always hear the pain my Mom went through asking me Why doesn't he talk to me. I told my brother how I felt after a few years of hearing my Moms heart ache so he didn’t talk to me anymore. The last few months of her life he started to talk to her and all she wanted was for my brother and I to talk to each other that all we had was each other. Our sister passed away years before. So when she was ready to leave us . I told my Mom go to heaven Mom Walter and I are fine we are talking. I just wanted to give her the peace to leave this earth. Last Christmas he invited our neices and nephews and their children and did not include my daughter and Grandchildren. I just need to let go of the pain that I feel. God bless you Trent . I am so glad to have found you.

It's the settling to a point of being a shell of yourself part for me!! There were so many parts of this that ministered to my current situation. Leaving a 15 yr relationship because I was "difficult." Because I couldn't be a doormat anymore, couldn't keep feeling no peace in my home. It has been a tough transition for my kids and I, but the peace and joy that my kids and I are feeling again is more than worth it. Thank you Trent for interceding, listening, and being obedient so that God can use you to minister to the masses. Every message of yours I have listened to has ministered to my spirit. Much love ❤

My son's father who is a textbook narcissist popped up at the house and found me on facebook...long story short I saw the happiness on my sons face and gave him one more chance to be a dad but he made it clear he only came around to try to mess with my mind and disrespect me. Keyword- try.....I didn't allow it, it's been shut down quickly. It's heartbreaking for my son however with the type of person he is I know it's for the best. I would not have had the strength or noticed the slights he was throwing towards me without Trents wisdom. So much thanks to you Trent. You have to look out for yourself and those you love and *demand your worth*. We're all worth it.
