I was there too, to celebrate my upcoming 21st birthday that was around 6 weeks later. It's the best concert I ever attended. Danced all the way through both HotHouse Flowers and INXS. Loved Roachford too. Took me a couple of days to recover 😂

I've just spent the last 40 minutes watching INXS videos and dancing with my miniature poodle. I'll be 51 this year and I still miss Michael Hutchence!
If you read their story then you understand that hard work over a long period got them to the top. Of course it's impossible to get to the top without talent and some luck too. But they played and played and played and played. They honed their game in small clubs. They were on the grind for years.
I met him at HMV in Vancouver, while I was working on a rainy Vancouver morning. Very friendly guy. Happy to be able to tell an artist I like their music. I hesitated, but asked for an autograph…still have it 🤓

He said no it okay, and bought them both. It’s when he handed me his CC, that I realized who it was. His hair was black, and had these cool bug eye like shades on. He had a yellow rain jacket on, with the hood up. I told him that I love INXS, commented on the crappy weather (rains a lot in Vancouver), then asked for his autograph. He was really friendly, and fairly shy.
@@loristars1364 I wonder that also but I do believe that what happened with the court battle of Paula and Sir Bob (Geldof) that morning put him over the edge - he had brain damage from about 5 years earlier, his mates said he was never the same, he was angry, aggressive and depressed so I think that ultimately played a role in his death - the autopsy found brain damage. So very very sad.
@@loristars1364 you are welcome. I don't think many people realize that he had suffered a head injury (a taxi driver pushed him in Europe and he hit his head on a curb). They didn't realize he should get medical help immediately - his personality changed almost instantly and he refused any treatment. Later, he saw a doctor who explained what had happened to him. He lost his sense of taste and smell for the rest of his life which was devastating to him. I watched all the youtube videos and all the interviews, etc. during the pandemic and that is how I learned all of this. Take care Lori
I was unfortunately born the year Michael Hutchence passed away, so I never got experience his showmanship. But my parents exposed me to INXS at a young age, and to this day they’re still one of my favourite bands of all time. And there’s no changing my mind that Michael is my all time favourite singer. 25 years since you left, and still missed now. RIP Michael, the G.O.A.T

The restoration work done on this footage is absolutely outrageous. It looks like it was recorded yesterday. FANTASTIC job. INXS always look timeless too- their fashion and style was never glued to a time stamp and neither was their music in my opinion. What a band and what a frontman.

Damn! They really managed to get some incredible resolution out of a video tape from 1991. I actually can't believe what i'm watching was originally filmed 29 years ago. Technology is incredible.
@@nikosvault Forgive my correcting you on this, but it was actually shot on 16mm, not 35mm - which is absolutely astounding. 16mm film stock had come a long way by the time they filmed this, it was actually the original film to video transfer process that wasn't up to the task, but the detail was always there. I watched a promo a couple of days back on this restoration showing what you can do using tech that's available in 2020 (as I write this). The promo explains how they rescanned the original film stock, cleaned up the images, regraded the colouring and did a shot-for-shot re-edit from beginning to end matching the original release. They were able to retrieve a lot of detail from the 16mm film stock which had been lost when the initial transfer was done back in the early 90's. The detail retrieved produced this new HD wide-screen release. This restoration is a masterpiece. If you're not a techy, it may not be obvious that some very talented people put a lot of time and effort (and love too) into making it look this good. To the people who did the work I'd like to say thank you! This looks sensational, you did a fantastic job. Michael - peace to you, we all miss you.

Lo confieso, definitivamente éste es el concierto favorito de mi vida, lo escuché por primera ves en el 91 cuando apenas salió el cd, y así conocí ésta banda, en el 2019 viaje dos horas para verlo en el estreno que se hizo a nivel mundial, en cines , de esta versión remasterizada, la verdad, éramos 10 personas en la sala, pero lo disfruté como si hubiese estado en medio del estadio. Gracias a la vida por haber coincidido con estos monstruos del rock y seguir disfrutarlos ya con 45 años. Gracias Michael!!♥️

I was at this concert, but I went specifically to see Hothouse Flowers, I didn't know much about INXS, but they just blew me away and I've never been to a better gig. Michael's voice was mesmerising, he is greatly missed. God bless him. ❤️
I wish I got to see them live. My husband who moved from the Philippines to LA in the early 80’s, have seen them all. From Depeche Mode to Oingo Boingo, everyone. And he said INXS blew all of them offstage. So jealous.

Lamentablemente, aunque llenaban el Wembley Stadium, no pudieron llenar el hueco en el alma de Michael. La banda no volvió a ser la misma sin el, por eso todos sus éxitos memorables son de esa época, aunque han seguido en actividad con otro vocalista.
