I would definitely rate the fireforce manga atleast like an 9 or even 9.5. though, the anime is still very good despite the fan service(which is not much of a bother for me) personally everything in fireforce is the closest thing to my favorite manga/anime. The art style for fire force is a great improvement and a very refined style from soul eater. And I think fire force to me has the better story and the better ending but it also when you connect both soul eater and fire force they make each other better.
@@bertschnitzel1559 they never said it would come in 2023, probably they are holding the season for the 10th anniversary of the manga (which would be in 2025) What they actually said in 2023, was that production had begun
I love the fan service, and I loved everything about this series (both manga and anime), It was tailor made for my tastes. Firefighters are rad; fire is rad; women are the greatest thing in this world, this art piece celebrates them so much; mysteries are incredible; I love the art and aesthetic (I am catholic and this absolutely pleased me); the philophical discussions were awesome and inspiring. For real, a masterpiece, 9.5.
I dropped Firce Force after the first or second episode, because it didn't seem to have a unique pull to it (I also didn't know Soul Eater's mangaka wrote it), but you now convinced me to give the manga a try. Paneling and art do look awesome, I'm glad to hear there's cool worldbuilding and a solid plot---that's actually exactly what I look for in a story, so thanks for making this video.
I understard disliking fanservice at the beginning, but anyone who reads until the end will see the author turning it over its head and tying fanservice thematically into the story in the most META way possible. The ending of Fire Force was pure kino, wish I got more manga like this to read.
Fire Force is my favorite manga ever and made Ohkubo my favorite mangaka of all time, despite not being that big of a fan of Soul Eater. I know it has its flaws like some loose plot lines and mainly focusing on its male cast members, but the manga just resonated with me, it felt really personal. The story and art are so creative, especially in its last third and the philosophy was really interesting. Not only the parts where they focused on life and death, but also human nature itself and how we see other people like Tamaki. Its slow beginning is probably my least favorite part, but the mysteries and the twists it leads to are absolutely worth it. tldr: I never would have guessed that a battle series about fire fighters would be so thought-provoking.
Soul Eater was my first ever anime, so I was quick to hop on Fire Force when the anime dropped. And honestly, I'd rank Fire Force above Soul Eater in many ways, even if there are some things Soul Eater did better. Honestly I've never really been bothered by Tamaki and her running gag through the series. Like I totally understand why people would have an issue with it, but it wasn't an issue for me. Arthur is my favorite character I love his silly antics and his last fight with Dragon was my favorite fight in the whole series. I'm glad to see more positive content being made on this series even after its conclusion
The Soul Eater Manga is far better than Fire Force. The Soul Eater anime is barely even following the Manga. I just found the power system in Fire Force boring compared to Soul Eater.
I finished it not that long ago too and enjoyed the power system a lot plus characters are a jam also the ending was nice and connects to Soul Eater which is sweet. With the fanservice thing I think it's used in an effective way more often than not but man Beni is the best
Even lisa, i love how she later, she uses fire tentacles as power and gets to own it, not jspmething be subjected to, same as tamaki and later, she owns that gradually to, defeat assault who is crazy strong in reality. Also maki and obi, great done fanservice. I mean even tamaki improved a lot.
I will forever love the author for how they responded to people complaining about the fan service. It was the most creative verbal smackdown I've seen in a manga ever.
Yes and I will forever remember him as the author who assassinated his own character to spite everyone. I will be honest I forgot she even existed liked the manga but not her.
When people talk about the fanservice in Fireforce and the characters, then coming from the sidelines like a quarterback with a vendetta many say they like soul eater more because it was handled better.... You people have seen soul eater right? the Boob grabs, Fanservice scenes and ESPECIALLY Blair? (which seeing the cat theme, makes even more sense) because i don't think many people have.
I think the difference a lot of people forget to mention is it's rarely at the expense of female characters' agency in SE. Like Tsubaki and Blair are the main "fanservice characters" but Blair is having fun with it and Tsubaki isn't getting humiliated with it the way Tamaki is CONSTANTLY. Plus fanservice is just about the only thing the humor in Fire Force hinges on outside of "Arthur's delulu"
The total removal of Tamaki would've done wonders for the series. I and many others dropped the fire force manga early in it's run strictly because of her. And I am so happy that I decided to give the series another go around the time the anime got announced because it ended up being one of my all time favorite manga out there. Easily eclipsing Soul Eater in scope and writing. The power system is so creative, the world building is amazing and Ohkubo's ability to draw amazing fights is rivaled only by a few artists. And he topped it off with an ending that is not only good but vastly outclasses almost every other shonen ever.
@@tinysandwitch343 the only reason I stuck around for as long as I did back then was cuz I was a huge fan Ohkubo. He is my favorite manga artist of all time, and I knew he was cooking something special in the long run, but I dropped it at the time so that I can binge a bunch of chapters and so I can glaze over all the Takamaki fan service scenes without worrying about a weak chapter for the week. She was very funny n likeable in the peninsula arc. She's much cuter when she isn't dragged down into weak fan service scenes tbh.
Fire force is amazing but it never reached its full potential because it shares its pacing issues with soul eater and its character writing can use some improvements. I honestly think it needed another 75-150 chapters and it would easily be in my top 3.
I absolutely LOVED the way Fire Force handles their fan service! It is VERY self aware and is absurd to the point of being comedic. It's fun and light hearted, it's not over-done, and most importantly it NEVER detracts from the main story! And even when we do get the fan service scenes, they're never grotesquely over the top or anything but rather tasteful IMHO. I have never been able to understand why people have a problem with it and in fact, I've never heard ANYBODY talk about having an issue with the fan service outside of Twitter. But Twitter freaks have problems with literally EVERYTHING, so I truly just tend to disregard all that noise. And it's not like I'm surrounded by only just male anime weebs, there's several female anime fans I've talked to about this series, at least half a dozen of which are in my closer social circle, and none of them have voiced any complaints about the fan service when we talked about the series. Honestly, I truly don't believe most normal, socially well-adjusted people, male or female, would have an honest problem with the fan service of this series! There's just a VERY vocal minority of weirdos on platforms like Twitter and Reddit that make a LOT of noise about anything they can twist to find offense from about everything...
im not tapped into the internet when it comes to anime but when i watched fire force for the first time rhe fan service was my main gripe while watching
this anime still is one of my best picks in choosing anime for newbies, well kinda, people would nitpick the parts its lewd but overall the fights are fire, the manga fights are also fire, the creativity of the panels like the part where benimaru uses his technique that just used a aggressive stroke, if u read it u knew what I meant. and also shinraz fighting style advanced capoeira, definitely cool
Because Soul Eater anime didn't adapt the manga till the end, I planned to read it, but after I heard Fire Force is a prequel to it I planned to watch Fire Force before reading trough Soul Eater. But the downsides of the series you collect in the beginning were the exact problems of black clover, no interesting characters, nothing interesting or big happening, but there's to much fanservice. black clover was a huge disappointment, so now I don't how watch/read Soul Eater (while I don't think after Soul Eater Ohkubo able write a series as bad as black clover).
I just finished it and I loved it but I wish we got to see more of the 1st pillar. We didn’t really get her back story and the last we saw of her was her saying to iris she is going to die and she should go back to the living. Didn’t see why both of them couldn’t go back but oh well. And the Epilogues (especially) the last one could have been better but compared to endings of other anime and manga this was pretty good.
Ive given the series a shot a couple years back, as I took care of the anime and manga. I even took a look at Soul Eater after doing Fire Force, kinda funny given its connection. I found both series pretty neat, and even though I lean more towards SE in regards to its Halloweeny style, FF isn't a slouch either. Plus for my thoughts on what Fire Force has regarding said content, I see it like this: I personally wasn't bothered by said fanservice, nor did Tamaki bother me either. Hell, Ive watched my fair share of animes with sexual content, and for Fire Force's case, it's no different. If anything, Im cool with its cast including her, but I can understand the sentiment. Sometimes its sucks that a certain character or series in general has something that sounds really cool but gets screwed over thanks to something the creator decides to do, or if the idea does work, but it's barely done with. Hell, I can also understand disliking the sexual kind of fanservice. However, what bothers me is less about the series itself and more about how it's being perceived in regard to it. Whether it's on those overexaggerating in regard to how much sexual content it has, or about certain scenes, even the ones in which there is a point to be made, or in regard to Tamaki in general. Hell, Ive seen those go so far as to make it sound as if its fetish content in the case of said series. It makes me question what kinda show they've been looking at. To put this in perspective, I frankly wanted Tamaki to get some confidence in herself, not just in her power, but about her self-esteem regarding that little condition she has, and the manga kinda does it for me regarding what goes on, like with Gold and even that Doppel-Assault deal. I say this because of that one scene where during that flashback with her and Shinra, he tells her that even if that little lure of hers is annoying, he feels she shouldn't banish herself. He even went so far as to point to Arthur when it comes to how confident he looks despite his delusions of being some knight king, saying she should be that confident herself. If someone like that can have such ridiculousness and yet not give a damn, why not her? Which had me thinking when it came to how some of the others have a little something about themselves that people perceived about them, whether its Shinra being seen as a Devil because of his smile or Arthur being seen as a dumbass because of his delusions of being a knight or hell, even Tamaki being seen as some harlot because of her supposed lechery, you'd think those aspects would be seen as the worst about them, and you'd be right. However, in some way, those aspects became their strength given what happened later on. Regarding that whole deal with Doppel-Sault, this also leads to what I mean on perceptions thanks to said Cataclysm beginning, as said doppelgangers are finally given form from them, as if it's the actual person the people see. Hell even said townspeople were pretty much getting screwed up and believing what's being said by those Doppels in general. Ive seen this controversy go down in regard to that one chapter regarding that Yoshida chick and Tatsuto; Some saying its a strawman, assuming that Ohkubo was pissed off at people for not liking his work, others say its a self-insert trying to justify said fanservice, and even if those who have agreed with it can say it's a bit preachy. Personally, I don't really see it as such from either side. I feel it's more talking about what's within the story when it comes to how the townspeople were berating Tamaki despite her trying to help against Doppel-Sault, kinda like how earlier when Shinra got berated despite him kicking away that Moon crashing down thanks to Fairie. As for Yoshida and Tatsuto, it's the whole deal about two things. The first being about how she pretty much went with the crowd despite not noticing what's going on, making it sound as if Tamaki is some sort of bad influence, just like how the townspeople were perceiving her as such given them agreeing with Assault's Doppelganger. The second is regarding the perceptions of one's aspect of themselves, as if because this one person is seen as better with a certain role, that must mean others who don't have it should take that spot, as if someone else is more deserving. I say this because let's be real, if someone has a certain aspect to themselves, some will try to assume they're either something else because of it, or act as if they think it's an issue to others that might not have it, and they should cater to them. The whole strawman deal just bugs me with how some make it sound as if the creator was pissed about those who have had their fair reasons in regard to said content, even if they didn't come out and state why they did what they did. Also, them assuming how Yoshida's meant to represent those who complained about said fanservice, given how it was like the day it was shown. That's what I mean when it comes to said perceptions, as even the story points out how there are those who go with what others say, even if they never asked if it's true or not. On a sidenote, I find it interesting how that whole spiel Assault went on referred to Eros regarding the whole "symbol of life" deal, which sounded more sensible in the official translation. I say that since Eros is the Greek God of Love, and said love leads to eroticism and eroticism leads to life, and without the middle man, life cant continue. Now, I understand I might be going on this long during the whole deal, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. To end it off, Im cool with the series, and regardless of what fanservice it had, I saw it through to the end.
My favorite character was Charon. I am not a father, but I want to be one, and that's what I aspire to be. I got teary whenever he talked or was with haumea, I am in fact getting emotional rn. Good god ;-; aaaaaaaaaaahh
I honestly really love Fire Force. I had absolutely no problem with the fan service. I actually found it hilarious. I feel like the fan service was part of her characters abilities. I guess I’m just an anime watcher and manga reader who just doesn’t care about it enough to stop watching or reading something I’m interested in. 🤷🏽♀️
Fire force is one of my favorite manga because of the overall goal of the evangelist and how they have a realistic goal in wanting to end the world normally it would be generic like humans are bad and need to die but ohkubo twisted that narrative I don’t wanna say why because of spoilers but that’s one of the reasons fire force was such a memorable manga
TLDR: Let us have our anime babes I honestly don’t understand people’s issue with the fan service in the show, our fan service in general. Fire force is a Shonen no? I get it if you don’t like shows like High School DxD, Sekire, or shows like those. But for decades, it’s been very apparent just how few fucks the Japanese give about American sensibilities as far as nudity and showing both the male and female figure. Ever watched Hajime no Ippo? I’ve never heard a single complaint about the show but there’s some wild shit in there lol. But because it’s male fan service no one has anything to say. I think it’s ok to portray your characters however you want. It’s fair if people don’t like it but it feels like people don’t like fan service because you’re not supposed to. To be clear, I like your video and have no problems with anything you’ve said in particular, just ranting I guess. I’ve heard people talk about how annoying fan service is in anime before (especially a shonen) and I’m like “ bro this shit is made for young boys/men who are genetically and historically horney at all times lol. And that’s actually not a bad thing it turns out. And it turns out it sells…..a lot. Idk I do think it’s fair to not like fan service but if you’re into shonen, I feel like it should just be expected at this point. And as long as SUPER weird shit happens then I say let it rock!
around season 2 i started to like Tamaki she just became someone that wants to try her best and I like that (not my fav character but at least i don't dislike her or is more neutral to her existence lol)
After years and years of watching anime and reading manga fan service will somewhat be apart of everything and I’ve learned to ignore it there literally is no way around it won’t ruin the story in my opinion
Announced earlier today 😎 same animation studio doing it that did the 2 previous seasons as well so no big-changes to worry about, 24 episode season starting 2025 that finishes the manga
I like tamaki, granted in the manga, you can ignore when its overdone and the anime might overdo it, but i love how he really made it an arc of her going from objectified making it her strengh, Which that last speech is about, if that can help her save her feriends, screw you superficial criticism, you cant shame me anymore. Thats a great arc, and she is never that much, plus its not like soul eater had no weird fanservice thats worse, fire forces fanservice works so good organic in. Also the amazing end , its such a good exploration not only about beliefs, cults and religions on such a great literally level, its also also so good exploring of existencialism and nihilism and hope and so good, and sadly fitting of the times currently, and great commentary on that. God even with a great meta moment that hits :( Damn soul eater had worse fanservice and, its great literature that has good worldbuilding and myster, that comes wit a bit of a slow burn, till that pays off.
I actually don't mind about fire forces fan service its not like we have worser fan service (COUGH MHA) but besides that I just love the show and most importantly soul eater and i hope soul eater gets a reboot cus of the new season or some collab with fire force :D
juggernaut feels so lame, like hes jus there to be there, no depth nothing, he had next to no chemistry with tamaki and ended up with her anyway, it just felt forced
@tf2player32 yeah people seem to like him but I hate him. He was annoying and a character simping over another character who is nothing but a rude bitch for the whole story just feels wrong. Tamaki also would have been way better with Shinra anyway tbh
The entire last third of Fire Force is easily my favorite stretch of anything I've ever read. Like legitimately 11/10. T&A service is great, but even ignoring my personal feelings on it, the whole idea that fanservice automatically makes a story worse is extremely annoying on multiple levels (like the idea that a series about/heavily focused on sex/sexuality/fanservice can't possibly be/isn't allowed to be good)
Arthur has such an amazing fight. And the philosophical existencialism and about belief all coming together batshit chaotic yet it all makes sense with the dramatic yet hopeful yet desperate. And is impactful, If you ever try kubera the last god thats slow burn at the start, and not a shounen, but its really also i think better worlfdbuilding even but fire forces uis amazing, Also the art gets better, and its slow burn that pays off big, and its more psychological mystery drama with humor
Great video :D All stupid fan service marvel level of jokes in dramatic moments, the series is amazing. Suttle levels of humor you grow to enjoy specially hits hard. Amazin show overall (despite the drawbacks - when I suggest it to others, everyone mentions the Tamaki, even I did back in the day xd) p.s I personally would not mind Tamaki if she was not a Sister. That destroys my immersion completely. Despite me trying to completely ignore it. The church is so good thus that is why Tamaki ruins it for me, even tho someone can argue, shes "represents something" a commentary hahaha I am a big Maki fan, I don't mind princess Hibana but.. there is always a but :D
This reminded me to go read on where season 2 left off, but I will strictly be selectively not reading a single tamaki fan service panel out of quiet, seething, spite. Goated show (and manga, from what I’ve heard and seen), but that single character is absolutely a huge detractor and I don’t care how good or funny the manga’s meta fight giving commentary on her fan service is. Self awareness doesn’t erase those undesirable aspects lol, like how nikke players can tell you the game is fun but they’re still subhuman because that game is 80% sex sells.
as a person who tried watching fire force 3 times and after all that got ep 9 just feeling bored i kinda want to watch the show again but i have to many things to watch right now so il wait
What’s the problem of the quote on quote fan services??? For me sure some manga go a bit overboard (mha) but like you said why get angry? I keep reading due to story, world building, and enjoyability. Not fan service, that shit sounds stupid if you ask me
My only dumb nitpick about the Ohkubo universe, is that all of his manga are connected, except for B.Ichi,😂 which is funny because its the easiest one to connect to Soul Eater, I know its dumb but it bothers me a little bit😂
My first animes, other Shonen like Naruto,Dragon Ball, and Fairy Tail was Harem and Ecchi anime, so when I see Tamaki it doesn't really get on my nerves as much people do
I am gonna be honest, not a lot clicked with me when it came to fire force, don't really know why.I didn't mind the fanservice.I watched the entire anime and read the manga and while there where definitely awesome moments in the series and the plot was great as well,it didn't have that large of an impact on me.But oh well at least i got to read Arthur vs Dragoon
The one thing I don't like about fire force (except fan service) is that as the story progresses way too many characters are introduced. I'm someone who finds it hard to memorized names (especially Japanese names) and associate them with characters and so when there are so many characters + call backs to important characters not immediately relevant makes it hard to follow the story and other character related things. I've only watched the anime cuz I don't feel like reading the manga but I feel that the introduction to an arc with tomaki near the end of the second season falls flat due to the fact that she's been objectified by the author so much. Why should I care about this character who's only personality trait up to that point was to accidentally get naked any way possible? Tomaki always "accidentally" being borderline sexually assaulted while the perpetrator gets away with it could be a good story arc but the fact that these actions don't influence any of tomaki's actions, decisions, or feelings towards the cast shows that she is just gooner bait. Again, why should I care about this character who's only been a part of the cast for fan service now when there are so many other more developed characters in the already bloated cast of Fire Force? Not to mention the fact that all of the (adult) female characters have been sexualized. While there has been some male fan service sprinkled in throughout the show, it still doesn't matter when every female character has been sexualized to a much greater extent.
Fireforce and Soul eater's endings were fire dumbsters for me, even if the rest of the story's were good I Just hope the creator doesn't ruin Gachiakuta's ending too
Like tamaki being like a delicate soufflé the slightest trip can her go KA BOOM her clothes going all over the place like how soufflé gets wreaking from the slightest sound 😆😆😆
Someone actually counted and only roughly 40 of the 6,000+ pages of the manga have any kind of fan service in them. So Tamaki is really not as frequent or big of an issue as people make her out to be. Especially when she's barely in season 2 and won't be in any of seasons 3 and 4 until the very end when her character is given meaning.
am I missing something? I think of fire force as a comedy anime with great fight sequences. quite literally all of the characters are extreme versions of character tropes. I understand the genuine fan service scenes. what makes tamaki is the awkwardness its supposed to make you laugh a litte. It's like if you fart in front of a lot of people. super awkward but can still make people laugh. just my thoughts
Hello, Elite Gooner here. Yeah, there's not enough fan service here, it's just one character. These people wouldn't know fan service if it hit em in the head.
I’m on episode 22 season 1 & there is so much goin wrong or jus out of place nd the fan service is just 🤯like I didn’t like it before but there’s a lot missing or not said or even said when it needs to be it feels rushed on top of tht as well I don’t understand how you could expect a child who can barley even remember he had a mother to just accept someone random kid whose claiming to be his brother he couldn’t even believe tht he came from a woman nd it’s like he’s sayin we’re playin tag , it never feels like some fights are even taken seriously , at first these kids couldn’t even beat maki nd then all of a sudden there goin toe to toe with ppl who work for the first company ??? How does tht even work im convinced if he fought burns long enough they would’ve jus gave the mc abilities so it’s not a complete blow out
Yeah I really hate fan service. And so when I tried to watch this series I really tried to get through a couple episodes to see if it gets better. So I really didn't enjoy this show
Manga, you can do ignore it probably better in the manga, and the fanservice is actually pretty organic mostly, buff obi, muscle maki, even the tentacles, are part that make sense. Lisa learns to control the tentacles.
I remember really like Fire Force alot, but at some I got bored around The nightmare arc....once I got there I told myself I'll read it later when it gets ahead a bit.... I never did.
I personally COULD NOT bare through season 2 of fire force. Season 1 wasn’t great, but the story was at least intriguing and the animation was beautiful. Not only does the animation take a huge hit in season 2, but the story just gets so boring and unfocused. It jumps around from new character to new character every episode, and none of them are as interesting as the starting cast
Okay... I enjoyed your video, but something you said towards the start that made me need to rant.... I think I'm finally done pretending that people's issues with fan-service are valid. I know this comment wont be positively received, and that I'll sound like kind of a boomer about this, but it's gotten to the point that I can't keep my mouth shut. If you see fanservice in anime (ESPECIALLY in a SHONEN anime) and think, "Oh god. Not the tits. I cant stand it when they show lewd stuff like this to appeal to their historically and statistically male dominated audience." Then stop watching. Shonen isn't for you. If that sounds gate-keepy, its cause it is. If you get offended by lewd content in a piece of fiction, or you get mad at being shown a beautiful woman in scantily clad clothing, then you're consuming the wrong content. Move on to something else, we need to stop letting tourists and the overly sensitive dictate the course of media its leading to the collapse of the entertainment field. Just look at AAA gaming lately. Letting people who exist to spread their puritanical opinions about sex and sex-appeal in media run the show is fucking destroying whole industries that I love and its time to stop letting it happen. Rant over, sorry.
I still don't get the fan service because the more i see its comedy. If the clothes is not fire proof then it will burn away. Arthur is my favorite character & i can relate to as well.
Didnt care about the fanservice other than when it was in the middle of the fights, that was cringe. But mostly i didnt connect with any of the characters, not one.

The art style for fire force is a great improvement and a very refined style from soul eater. And I think fire force to me has the better story and the better ending but it also when you connect both soul eater and fire force they make each other better.

My youngest son goes to school with the son of the author out here in Osaka. Super chill guy.
Perception can truly be a powerful thing. I feel that needs to be talked about more.
I dunno the manga of Soul Eater goes crazy when Bones freaking botched half of the anime's story 🙃
I mean even tamaki improved a lot.
recommend coming in clutch I just started my reread of fireforce 2 days ago 😂
Arthur my goat
I will forever love the author for how they responded to people complaining about the fan service. It was the most creative verbal smackdown I've seen in a manga ever.
What happened?
@@Luh_katkatbasically had a whole fan service fight. And called out characters for being upset about sex appeal.
Just try reading chapter 280-281.
Yes and I will forever remember him as the author who assassinated his own character to spite everyone. I will be honest I forgot she even existed liked the manga but not her.
@@oneeyed9579 nah, you just have a pathetic axe to grind, sucks to be you tho
holy shit that kid just erased his mom from existence 😭
When people talk about the fanservice in Fireforce and the characters, then coming from the sidelines like a quarterback with a vendetta many say they like soul eater more because it was handled better....
You people have seen soul eater right? the Boob grabs, Fanservice scenes and ESPECIALLY Blair? (which seeing the cat theme, makes even more sense) because i don't think many people have.
I think Soul Eater is filled with such nostalgia that many people forget it. :')
Tamaki’s fan service resulted in a pretty good fight in the manga though, so it’s fine by me
The total removal of Tamaki would've done wonders for the series.
Nah. Tamaki's inclusion is based and 100% justified narratively and thematically.
@@s3studios597Nah. I could've done without her entirely. Blair is the better Ohkubo catgirl by mile.
@@SushiGhost97 Tamaki was awesome, cry harder.
I agree she’s a fun character but she’s unnecessary they lost so many fans because of her
@@tinysandwitch343 the only reason I stuck around for as long as I did back then was cuz I was a huge fan Ohkubo.
At least they only had Blair in Soul Eater for fan service. Also I dropped FF because it was tied to Soul Eater canon. I wish it was it's own thing.
It was a fun anime and I'm waiting for season 3.
Am I imagining it is background music from Shadow 05?
Fire force is amazing but it never reached its full potential because it shares its pacing issues with soul eater and its character writing can use some improvements. I honestly think it needed another 75-150 chapters and it would easily be in my top 3.
It's connected to Soul Eater?!?! That's it I'm reading the manga.
When I saw it the 1st time I saw a little hope for Soul Eater's remake lol it's intense haha
@@shockwave2331how
this anime still is one of my best picks in choosing anime for newbies, well kinda, people would nitpick the parts its lewd but overall the fights are fire, the manga fights are also fire, the creativity of the panels like the part where benimaru uses his technique that just used a aggressive stroke, if u read it u knew what I meant.
and also shinraz fighting style advanced capoeira, definitely cool
Because Soul Eater anime didn't adapt the manga till the end, I planned to read it, but after I heard Fire Force is a prequel to it I planned to watch Fire Force before reading trough Soul Eater. But the downsides of the series you collect in the beginning were the exact problems of black clover, no interesting characters, nothing interesting or big happening, but there's to much fanservice. black clover was a huge disappointment, so now I don't how watch/read Soul Eater (while I don't think after Soul Eater Ohkubo able write a series as bad as black clover).
Maybe it’s cuz I grew up loving Soul Eater, I fell in love with Fire Force day 1.
I just recently finished it and wow man i absolutely love it
the GREAT fan service mixed with the best action makes it so good
I just finished it and I loved it but I wish we got to see more of the 1st pillar. We didn’t really get her back story and the last we saw of her was her saying to iris she is going to die and she should go back to the living. Didn’t see why both of them couldn’t go back but oh well. And the Epilogues (especially) the last one could have been better but compared to endings of other anime and manga this was pretty good.
Time Stamps would be great to avoid spoilers
Man i liked tomakis character and the fan service and the story in general
Ive given the series a shot a couple years back, as I took care of the anime and manga. I even took a look at Soul Eater after doing Fire Force, kinda funny given its connection. I found both series pretty neat, and even though I lean more towards SE in regards to its Halloweeny style, FF isn't a slouch either.
Plus for my thoughts on what Fire Force has regarding said content, I see it like this:
I personally wasn't bothered by said fanservice, nor did Tamaki bother me either.
To end it off, Im cool with the series, and regardless of what fanservice it had, I saw it through to the end.
can you talk about Gachiakuta because is reaching 100 chapters next week and also is getting anime next year by Studio Bone.
I love gachiakuta!!
I'm definitely gonna try and do another one. I have a couple already but I'd like to do a new one soon.
I am a huge fan of ohkubo, both mangas are amazing and I struggle to choose a favorite
My favorite character was Charon. I am not a father, but I want to be one, and that's what I aspire to be. I got teary whenever he talked or was with haumea, I am in fact getting emotional rn. Good god ;-; aaaaaaaaaaahh
We just got news that we're getting season three!!!🔥
I saw! I can’t wait!!!
The characters (aside from Tamaki) are the only reasons I’ll keep watching it
Fire force is one of my favorite manga because of the overall goal of the evangelist and how they have a realistic goal in wanting to end the world normally it would be generic like humans are bad and need to die but ohkubo twisted that narrative I don’t wanna say why because of spoilers but that’s one of the reasons fire force was such a memorable manga
TLDR: Let us have our anime babes
I honestly don’t understand people’s issue with the fan service in the show, our fan service in general.
Idk
I do think it’s fair to not like fan service but if you’re into shonen, I feel like it should just be expected at this point. And as long as SUPER weird shit happens then I say let it rock!
Fire force is definitely one of my favorite manga
around season 2 i started to like Tamaki she just became someone that wants to try her best and I like that (not my fav character but at least i don't dislike her or is more neutral to her existence lol)
After years and years of watching anime and reading manga fan service will somewhat be apart of everything and I’ve learned to ignore it there literally is no way around it won’t ruin the story in my opinion
If u liked the dragon and Arthur fight, there’s a good animation by NinjarsticNinja(? I think that’s the name) that makes the fight come to life
I've seen it. It's amazing!
I’m just upset that we haven’t gotten an announcement for another season. I want to see the show to completion so badly.
Announced earlier today 😎 same animation studio doing it that did the 2 previous seasons as well so no big-changes to worry about, 24 episode season starting 2025 that finishes the manga
It’s been a year and I’m still on episode 3
Season 3 anouncement just dropped
I like tamaki, granted in the manga, you can ignore when its overdone and the anime might overdo it, but i love how he really made it an arc of her going from objectified making it her strengh,
Which that last speech is about, if that can help her save her feriends, screw you superficial criticism, you cant shame me anymore.
Thats a great arc, and she is never that much, plus its not like soul eater had no weird fanservice thats worse, fire forces fanservice works so good organic in.
Also the amazing end , its such a good exploration not only about beliefs, cults and religions on such a great literally level, its also
also so good exploring of existencialism and nihilism and hope and so good, and sadly fitting of the times currently, and great commentary on that.
God even with a great meta moment that hits :(
Damn soul eater had worse fanservice and, its great literature that has good worldbuilding and myster, that comes wit a bit of a slow burn, till that pays off.
Fire force is one of my all time favs fosho I wish they’d finish animating it 😭
I actually don't mind about fire forces fan service its not like we have worser fan service (COUGH MHA) but besides that I just love the show and most importantly soul eater and i hope soul eater gets a reboot cus of the new season or some collab with fire force :D
i thankfully can look past the fan service and its so good such a fun anime
I really love Fire Force despite its issues (Tamaki and Juggernaut) but it is really great. I hope season 3 comes soon
juggernaut feels so lame, like hes jus there to be there, no depth nothing, he had next to no chemistry with tamaki and ended up with her anyway, it just felt forced
And is impactful,
If you ever try kubera the last god thats slow burn at the start, and not a shounen, but its really also i think better worlfdbuilding even but fire forces uis amazing,
Also the art gets better, and its slow burn that pays off big, and its more psychological mystery drama with humor
yall stop hate just leave it to be and enjoy the anime i love the anime
Funny enough I never had a problem with the fan service neither was anyone I knew I didn’t know people thought it was too much
Great video :D All stupid fan service marvel level of jokes in dramatic moments, the series is amazing.
Suttle levels of humor you grow to enjoy specially hits hard. Amazin show overall
(despite the drawbacks - when I suggest it to others, everyone mentions the Tamaki, even I did back in the day xd)
p.s I personally would not mind Tamaki if she was not a Sister. That destroys my immersion completely. Despite me trying to completely ignore it.
The church is so good thus that is why Tamaki ruins it for me, even tho someone can argue, shes "represents something" a commentary hahaha
I am a big Maki fan, I don't mind princess Hibana but.. there is always a but :D
Love the video, you need to chill on how much your little character changes it stresses me out
This reminded me to go read on where season 2 left off, but I will strictly be selectively not reading a single tamaki fan service panel out of quiet, seething, spite.
I kinda really enjoyed "Fire Force," because to me it's like the Closest as it gets to a "Promare" Anime if it was a T.V. Series instead of a Movie.
You should analyze Ikki Tousen series.
ye season 1 is rough. but by season 2 its just the best show ever
Why are we only getting one more season.
as a person who tried watching fire force 3 times and after all that got ep 9 just feeling bored
i kinda want to watch the show again but i have to many things to watch right now so il wait
Season 3 trailer just dropped
Imagine if at some point we would see God in Soul Eater and its just Shinra
What’s the problem of the quote on quote fan services??? For me sure some manga go a bit overboard (mha) but like you said why get angry? I keep reading due to story, world building, and enjoyability. Not fan service, that shit sounds stupid if you ask me
one month later the anime’s next season release is announced😭
I started reading fire force for two reasons
1. It's a prequel to soul eater (one of my favorite manga
2. The MC can beat Goku
Man i am still waiting for it's 3rd Season
My only dumb nitpick about the Ohkubo universe, is that all of his manga are connected, except for B.Ichi,😂 which is funny because its the easiest one to connect to Soul Eater, I know its dumb but it bothers me a little bit😂
and it just got announced today season 3 will air april 2025 and january 2026
How is fan service a short coming
While there has been some male fan service sprinkled in throughout the show, it still doesn't matter when every female character has been sexualized to a much greater extent.
i liked everything about it except that joker was fully nerfed
The fanservice is EXACTLY why i like fire force, makes it feel like old shonen again.
Season 2 was suppose to come out my birthday a year ago march 17 2023
Fireforce and Soul eater's endings were fire dumbsters for me, even if the rest of the story's were good
I Just hope the creator doesn't ruin Gachiakuta's ending too
Season 3 announcement
Like tamaki being like a delicate soufflé the slightest trip can her go KA BOOM her clothes going all over the place like how soufflé gets wreaking from the slightest sound 😆😆😆
Fire force got ran over by truck-kund and got isekai'd. Now you know
Fire force is amazing and I can't see why someone would drop it over something like black clover or boruto
Bro just had to wait another month
WERE BACK BAYBEEEEEEE
a good overivew of the pros & cons. I agree it's one of the best modern shonen series. Not sure where it ranks among all time for me.
am I missing something? I think of fire force as a comedy anime with great fight sequences. quite literally all of the characters are extreme versions of character tropes. I understand the genuine fan service scenes. what makes tamaki is the awkwardness its supposed to make you laugh a litte. It's like if you fart in front of a lot of people. super awkward but can still make people laugh. just my thoughts
Hello, Elite Gooner here.
Yeah, there's not enough fan service here, it's just one character. These people wouldn't know fan service if it hit em in the head.
I was wondering if you could do video on a manhwa called hardcore leveling warrior
WE CHANGING FROM KNIGHT TO GAMBLER WITH THIS ONE!!!!

Fanservice in anime; isn't a problem for me.
yeah, i don't really care either way, but idk why people watch anime and then complain about anime tropes
Didnt care about the fanservice other than when it was in the middle of the fights, that was cringe.
But mostly i didnt connect with any of the characters, not one.
Then you've never read fire force 😂
@@bignoob2726 What does that have to do with anything? Fanservice is a nonissue.
Can someone actually please tell me why we are only getting 1 more season.
Cuz the anime closely follows the manga and the manga ended over a year ago.
