Getting a Soul Eater video on my fyp is rarer than my Father saying he’s proud of me. The manga was so fun to read and had a clean finish. Makes me sad that there’s no Brotherhood treatment in sight. Maybe after Fire Force anime ends? Make bets, Steel Ball Run anime first or Soul Eater remake. Either way we’ll be dead by then.
Steel Ball Run. Stone Ocean just finished last year, meanwhile Fire Force still needs at least 2 more seasons to finish for a Soul Eater remake follow up to be possible.
I'm a big fan of the ideas behind Madness. Every Madness is functionally tied to a God with Order, Power, and Fear being the ones we interact with most. But if I remember right Eibon was tied to the Madness of Knowledge, although it might have been Power. Every Godlike being in Soul Eater is driven by Their Madness. Something that makes sense, Gods usually want their domain to be as prominent as possible. Kid got the Madness of Order real bad even before he actually came into maturity, which tells you exactly why Shinigami bound himself in one place to control his own Order. It's all very fun.
If I recall correctly, the Old One of Power, who bestows the madness of power, is willingly keeping himself in the depths of the Book of Eibon, either in shame after the Kishin incident or to test people wanting *_power_* . Speaking of which, I think Eibon somehow lifted the burden of his madness of knowledge over to the Table of Contents inside the Book, after he went AWOL inside that space-time magnetic field thingy. That little mechanical excalibur shit is way too megalomaniac in comparison to his creator, it makes Eibon look like Shaggy in comparison lol.
@@vitlaska Black 🌟 Star telling the Old One of Power to eat shit and die when he was offered the Madness of Power was one of my favourite parts of that arc in the book of Eibon. Really showed the strength of conviction in a character who would become equal to gods by willpower alone.
The Index really was just a menace to society in the shape of the most annoying sword ever. One of my favourite arcs of the story.
Even Excalibur is tied with a madness, the madness of anger which is quite hilarious in itself because of how easily he annoys everyone
Death bound himself to seal the Kishin, I’m pretty sure he’s the best at keeping himself from indulging in his madness because he has a great faith in the strength of mankind.
The Maddness isn't explored more...which is a shame...but I kinda think fire force answered it really well. I think we all agree soul eater and fire force should be linked as one universe both explaining each other

Yes Fire Force is a prequel to Soul Eater which is revealed at the end of Fire Force. Shinra creates the world, the moon being that weird is thanks to Benimaru's fight with his master and Shinra created the sun to match and Arthur created Excalibur. Oh Shinra also creates Lord Death

@@hollowify_tensa_zangetsu Nah. A whole redo. The anime was very accurate up until the Brew arc. But that’s quite early in the series really. And it’s been a long time since it aired, I think a full remake would do wonders
Finally a good soul eater video there isn't that much content that goes in depth as much as this video, I always enjoyed soul eater and fire force's power systems so it was cool hearing someone talk of the manga exclusive parts too
The thing about this anime, is that the increases in power level feel well earned and taught
Perhaps great evidence of Inca being the first witch is that fact that her powers were element based. The leader of the witches has the power of ice in her eye which is stolen by a werewolf. You could make an argument for how ice being the inverse of fire, and with how Inca’s powers work by following formulas, that ice isn’t outside her scope of powers.
Wasn't Free's witch eye what gave him his teleportation/holographic abilities? His ice was just his magic specialty.
@@tau-5794 in soul eater witches are the only ones who can receive magic and Free is not a witch. All of his magic comes from the witches eye. His regeneration and physical capabilities otherwise are all him I believe.

Happy to see a SE video. I think in the explanation of souls you forgot mifune's type of soul which is the soul of a human so strong that his equals 99 human souls. Otherwise great video Fire force being a prequel to SE was a shock. I should resume FF

I feel like you could of added a little extra detail to everything. I'm not super smart in soul eater but alot of stuff I learned from anime alone is missing. Like black bloods ability to harden its self and cause madness if not controlled.

Black Star is my favorite too, he's just so ridiculous near the end it's hilarious. He's also the one character in fiction (To my knowledge) who declared he would become the absolute strongest and actually succeeded.

I personally am creating my own sequel series to Soul Eater and have added to the power system in the way that Witches and their magic work.
Also something i found out that there's only 2 mighty soul's in all of soul eater in the manga and both of them where normal humans (well not so normal)

You should look into ganchiakuta power system it’s made by the writer of fire force and soul eaters successor which he called her himself after she worked as an assistant with him. The power systems is pretty cool you can kinda see some similarities to soul eater

Doesn't make sense how few death's scythes there are when the process of becoming one seems ao easy
can't speak on the manga, but in the anime, makes sense. i think i recall death (the adult) saying he had a treaty with the witches in place, so he wouldn't hunt them as a whole to make more scythes, only loose canons
also, need 100 evil human souls, and presumably not too many humans can eat souls. only 9 death scythes, so only about 900 evil humans souls total there, and then its probably random throughout
@@silverYolo I think the author likes the number 9 because of it's association with underworlds. I think in Shinto or Buddhism, they have 9 hells. And because of Dante, hell has 9 levels.
I mean, you saw what it took in the manga to kill Arachne. Most witches are powerful or slippery like the mizune sisters or medusa.

teach tilipoca is my favorite death scythe. He has the ability to clone himself and amalgamate and is near immortal, but outside of that he's just a fun character.
It is a neat power system but I hate power system that relies on others/proxy!!!!
Collaboration is a big theme in these worlds, and I kinda dig that over systems where a rando can achieve society-wrecking omnipotence by camping outside for a century or something.
Counter point, Nen exists and there literally will never be a power system that tops it in terms of creative flexibility and ability to generate dynamic action

It pissed me off so much that in the ending of the Soul Eater anime they pulled one out of their ass and said Kishin was immune to Demon Hunter because he isn't evil, he's just mad and Demon /Witch Hunter only affects evil people when the only thing Demon/Witch Hunter explicitly do is hurt mad people. I was so fucking angry when I saw that scene that I've forsaken the entire anime and refuse to watch it. I don't care if the fights are sick, the people who made clearly didn't even read the manga.
