What was your first impression of Soul Eater? How does it compare to Fire Force?
I think prefer fire force’s story but I love the wacky style of soul eater and the cast is great

Soul Eater blew my mind when I first watched the anime. Soul turning into a sythe and Maka using him just hooked me.

We got ff final season announced. After that is done airing if they don't announce soul eater brotherhood then I'll probably give up on there being a reboot
Soul Eater as a manga is very hit and miss for me. Though the one place where it truly shined for me was the plotline of Medusa and Crona, as well as Stein and his dabbling in the madness. While the ending seems to throw a lot of stuff at the wall and see what sticks, especially with Crona. Her final interaction with Medusa is one of my favorite chapters in manga period, in terms of story telling.
Chapter 87 Is just a simple story about killing a person. When Medusa finally gave Crona the love and affection She was deprived of her entire life. Crona couldn't comprehended and responded in the only way she was taught, killing by stabbing. dichotomized by simple crude stick figures stabbing each other with each piercing of Medusa. With Medusa gladly accepting it, as it was her true intent all along.
That was the most evil act by Medusa.

I still believe a reboot is up in the horizon! It's close! I can feel it! We just have to wait until the Fire Force's anime adaption wraps up the Manga and then the Soul Eater can begin anew! David Production or Studio Bones! I don't care, we need one of these two to do it! The Manga is amazing! It's personally MY favorite Manga series! I don't know if the world is ready to see Ohkubo's entire Soul Eater story to be retold in beautiful animation and great fights! Especially the final battle! AWWW! Ohkubo is a fantastic artist! And I hope the reboot can capture his art style! Just like how Fire Force does! Watch and read Soul Eater! And just you wait, the reboot will knock your soul out!
To be fair is no about just the studio but who is in the staff.
And personally don't see david productions doing it, just because the almost pass the third season to another studio. But maybe

Soul Eater is fantastic, both the anime and the manga. The manga more so though. It's nice to see it get some love, because nobody really talks about it anymore.
It look me 3 tries to get into Soul Eater. The first 2 times I just wasn’t really vibing with it, but on the 3rd try I finally locked in an fell in love with the series. And then the stuff in the manga was even better. I’m glad I gave it another chance🙏🏾❤️
Also I feel like if your someone who prefers characters over story you’d definitely like Soul Eater more than Fire Force and vice versa
Soul Eater was my first ever anime, so I hold the series (both the anime and the manga) very close to my heart. I fell in love with the aesthetic and the character writing. While I do prefer Fire Force in some aspects, Soul Eater has an undeniable charm that makes me keep coming back to it.
I love see I even like the anime original ending,I hope we get a reboot of soul eater ,just not with the soul eater not animation that look so cute like ,I hope we get it it with similar animation the 2009 style

The manga is pretty cool. I find myself revisiting the anime every couple years as well but every time it to the portion with Arachne, I just skip it(anime). It has this cool build up but when Arachne shows up its literally boring to me. I just skip it to the final battle with Ashura. Strange that the manga continues (Continued i guess) but the anime just ends... Still thou the anime is awesome. I still think stein is cool af. I have a feeling he was never under anyone's control he was just Insane af 😂.and experimental
I will never understand why they ended Soul Eater in 2009 when it was insanely popular and I know I watched it on online anime sites when it was airing in Japan

Soul eater was my introduction to anime in general. Funnily enough, it was from my sister’s friend, who had a massive crush on Kid. Anyways, I watched the anime when I was in middle school, so around 2013-2016, and fell in love with the music, art style, and especially vibes. I didn’t have a problem with how it went anime wise since that was how I was introduced. Now I’m fully collecting the perfect editions and I’m enjoying it a substantially more than the anime, at least so far. I’m up to the point where Corona and Black Star fight. I can tolerate whatever endings as long as the journey is good enough, and the manga is pretty good so far, so fingers crossed it doesn’t kill the investment I got. I’m so happy the series is still talked about, and that it’s one of the main IP’s people say deserve another chance. Cheers.

Don't get me wrong, I like Fire Force a lot, but I think Soul Eater cooked more, and I'm only anime for Soul Eater, but I plan to read it all eventually.

It's weird how they won't just remake it with a better animation studio and the same intros/outros. The original anime is dated and has some seriously bad pacing.
i like slow pasting anime and fast paced
I haven’t actually watched the anime in its entirety so maybe I’m not one to talk but from the clips I’ve seen, it looks like it’s aged wonderfully animation wise. I think people immediately think of FMAB or HxH 2011 when it comes to remakes but there’s so much stuff nowadays like Shaman King and Rurouni Kenshin that just get the most bog standard or even bad treatment. Plot wise (and probably pacing wise) a remake would be good but I feel like it will visually be a downgrade especially in the current industry. At most, maybe the aesthetic will be more with the times, but I don’t think the movement of the animation will be as good. Also they’d probably not use the same intros/outros since they’d probably want to get new artists involved to bring it up to the times like Rurouni Kenshin or get the same artists to make new songs like Shaman King
@@TopShonenRanks The story is interesting enough for it to be taken up by one of the bigger studios. Bones animating it would be a no brainer and effortlessly successful.
The first half is pretty good.
In style animation and music after that is where the problem started.
Also making anime is no cheap.

Soul Eater was an entry anime for me back in 2013 but I never ended up finishing it, I just recently started reading the manga because a good friend of mine loves it and although the early art style is rough I’m still enjoying it and excited to see where it goes
I can’t find a good translation of soul eater manga online :(
I read it on Mihon and with source of MangaSee. I think they had a good translation overall and even at the end of the volumes explains some jokes that had to be translated, origins of names, etc.

Shinigami's death he died protecting another character (i dont remember who it was its been sometime since i watched soul eater) it should be a sad moment but instead he just gotted 1 shotted and his body fell like paper

I think if Fire Force had been a little slower paced and had shown a bit of the characters having fun with each other and showing more moments between them, just comparing the first volume of both, Fire Force has a bit more of a serious tone than Soul Eater.
and I really like the cast of Fire Force as well.
I truly hate blackstar , i can't stand him. by the end i think of him as fine. death the kid remains my favourite, BJ, the moon and the guns!

I view people who hate “fan service” like those who hate “violence,” they are annoying. They always have to make it way worse than what it is. Can either ruin a story? Yes but its existence doesn’t automatically make something bad.

I think soul eater is the most average anime I've ever watched, I give it a 6 because I don't watch many bad shows, 7 if OP/ED music is included.
LOVE the unique artstyle, though the noses are odd. The animation quality is usually superb, but sometimes scenes and look really wahsed-out and blandly colored.
Has some FANTASTIC fights... and a good amount of stinkers where previously established rules or powers are ignored.
Has a few characters who have become my all-time favorites, and a good many who are under or poorly-developed.
Also, I hated black star. I wanted him dead honestly. In the anime, he never learns, never changes, never earns anything. Tsubaki carries him to the finish line when he never should have passed start.
Has some fantastic episodes and a few excellent plot lines, but a few are just forgotten about or bored me.

And the ending... I love Crona to death, but jeez his plot line vs Medusa deserved a far more dramatic ending. Maka still had to save him, just so he can say "wow she's got the brave punch." at the end, like I guess when Asura got hit by everyone else they just weren't feeling too confident.

Crona would make it very controversial because crona actually mass murdered people for their souls. Including a Ukrainian village in the manga..
The DWMA looked at first like a grim mysterious Weird place trying to kick the ones asses
But. is actually like a world Organization inspired by UN war themed order with many parts over the world fighting the rise of a kishin.
Crona ended up being controlled by Medusa again and started to fight a Russian branch of dwma members.
Its because crona ended up consuming a village in Ukraine killing all the people in it . Implying it did the same thing with the baltic village in the earlier episodes.
The only thing that maybe makes it less dark is souls remain of the deceased and technically, Lord Death decides what to do with them . He technically can ressurrect souls to let people be revived . But its never shown if ordinary people who were killed were revived.
This is maybe very sensitive to east European fans .
The manga ran from 2004 to 2013. In 2014 the urkrainian Russian conflict started.
The soul eater anime was way better than the manga. Black star didnt murder a little girls care taker over petty pride issues, crona got a better fate, and the themes of the show shone better with Maka's admittedly silly bravery punch than it did with the "oh, well, whatever, I give up" ending of the manga.

I don't even remember a lot of it. But it was the first manga that I read. The manga was good. It's much better than the anime. Mayba, I loved it so much because it was the first manga that I enjoyed. And for once, I was pretty young and didn't care a lot about world building. Instead, the characters are very memorable ❤
Soul Eater was my Gateway anime the one that got me into Anime, well... Earlier in my life my brother showed me the 3rd Madoka Magica movie _"Rebellion"_ and Memes, then after Soul Eater which I watched with my brother shower me one Halloween {Didn't get to finish it} and it was the Dub {I saw clips and I like Sub and Dub for it, but I usually prefer Subbed over Dudded} Madoka Magica is my favourite anime, Soul Eater is also soooo good, and in Soul Eater I kinda relate to Crona
I just finnished it on monday and now im depressed and dont know if i should finnish full metal alchemist or jjk.
There is one scene in soul eater that is permanently engraved in my mind. The scene where Maka and Soul are resonating with electricity going around them In the Resonance opening. I may have to write something about how it makes me feel it inspires me so much.
So... just like everyone, I absolutely fell in love with the art style. But at least to me it hit me on a transitioning period. When I was a pre teen. Trying to loosely define who I was. So the style, the characters and the envitonment inform what I like the most. And to this day it's easily one of my favorite animes of all time. Both the anime AND the manga
Last night I finished the anime. I proceeded to read all of the original manga material past the split after the magnetic tornado battle and I finished a couple hours ago. Wow it was just so amazing. I will admit pacing did seem a bit rushed with the Noah arc and he seemed a bit out of place after his arc ended, but in all honesty it’s one of my favorite stories now. Just the way the characters interact with one another allows me to just fall into the world without even needing the pacing or the story to be on full blast all the time. I do prefer two things from the anime being Soul’s black blood acceptance and Stein’s characterization. But outside of that I was enthralled in the manga and so happy with the outcome of it all.
The manga definitely succeeded where the anime didn’t in leaving me wanting more from the story. I was told months ago that the anime and manga split FMA style (thanks bones) and I already knew I was gonna give the manga a go once I finished the anime. At first I was just gonna read one or two chapters and we’ll there goes my Tuesday lol.

Soul eater's anime adaptation is still good. A full adaptation only could be good in the Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood level, but how remakes ended up nowadays, there is change would be garbage like the Shaman king remake. If it be like the Shaman king remake, it's better it didn't even made and don't ruining the series atleast.

It was created by the same person, in fact it was NOT created by Ohkubo to expand the world, and to give explanations of some things that I didn't want to explain in Soul Eater.

Soul Eater is still after all the years in my top 3 Manga of all time.
The story, the characters and of cause the ART.
Its nothing short of a masterpiece.
The later art style of Soul Eater is with the art style of Hellsing my favorite in all of fiction.
It's not perfect but its the only anime that I have watched 5x and I would love a 'Brotherhood' remake.
It got memory holed because it sucked. The show was all about teamwork, but at the end Maka just does it all herself, making Soul unnecessary. The manga ended with them making peace with the witches even though they spent years learning how to defend people from them, and they resolve that issue in an instant. Soul Eater Not was the most retarded since it ends with two people sharing one weapon instead of making a new friend. The whole concept was dumb from the beginning. Why are there people who don't turn into weapons here? It should only be weapon people so they can trade places in the middle of the fight which would have been awesome.
