Awesome work & it's great to see you guys having fun in the process. It's really impressive to see the quality of work that both of you are capable of in a backyard garage & at a young age. Thank you for sharing your excellent craftsmanship.

Killer work and the through-tubes are a nice semi-structural/semi-decorative touch. I did that exact thing with the mezzanine arms on my truck.

love your work. if you make another set of fixtures, laser cut the orientation arrows in to the plates that way you don't lose the marks. for locating the center plate on the cups, maybe think about making a removable piece that will locate the plate side to side. once the plate is tacked in place remove it and finish welding. when you build fixtures keep in the back of your mind to try and make it so you don't have to use a tape measure. less mistakes can be made and it will speed up the welding.

Love the content dudes. What would you say is a tolerance for creating keys, I'm thinking a couple thousandths? Currently designing a plate bumper that I would like to integrate key locations on. Thanks

I’m also interested in your tolerances for the tab and slot. I have designed a few parts using this technique and find myself grinding and filing or sloppy. Love to hear the perfect fit you find. Ps I’m also using a Langmuir systems table.

Is there a reason for using hot rolled vs. cold rolled?
