The Triss we all wish was in Netflix Witcher show
Yep... would have been so simple to cast a woman fitting the part, but no. The only person cast to fit the part of the character was Henry Cavill. The rest of the cast were chosen for different reasons.

am I right in thinking all the witches in the books are drop dead gorgeous because of vanity reasons or am I mis-remembering it? But the show creators just didn't understand this criticism of vanity and decided to cast for diversity instead?

Ciri casting was solid. Hell, Yennefer was too.
I personally don't mind the actress that plays her, but she should have had the iconic red hair and the writing needed to be better as they clearly don't understand her character at all. The character would still be bad if they did a cosplay of Triss from the game and kept the writing as it is.

That show is completely messed up. They butchered the original material. It's "dryads of Brokilon" not "dryads of Brooklyn".
Yep . Their Triss was a maya rudalph thing, or something. In the picture, she was not white, as she should have been. This is more Triss. Skin should be creamy and white. Same with Yennifer. I"m not happy with that casting either. I just stopped watching. Disgraceful. People are so afraid to be proud to be white.

I'd say infinitely better, because Netflix's Triss in not a Triss at all, not even remotely! The only one they did a decent job casting is Yen. That's it. The rest of the sorceresses... woke casting.

@@thedarkesttaleздравствуйте, у меня такой же выбор, хотя когда прохожу квест с поместьем вегельбудов «вопрос жизни и смерти», и в тот момент, когда выбор поцеловать трисс или нет становиться очень грустно, я переживаю все стадии принятия, но все равно потом загружаю на момент выбора в этом квесте, думаю, почему я выбираю Йенифер и почему бы не выбрать один раз Трисс. И потом очень грустно становится, как будто я сделал какой-то супер неправильный выбор насчет Йенифер. Кстати мне вот интересно, в корво бьюнку к Геральту приезжает либо Трисс, либо Йенифер, либо если Геральт замутил в обеями чародейками или не с кем, то приезжает Цири, не важно, императрица она или ведьмачка, но вот если Геральт не мутил ни с кем, и если Цири умерла, то не понятно кто приедет.
