Hello Tessie! I had a brand new home built to my specifications. I also lived in a home built in 1901. I’ve lived in little mobile homes. I can tell you with 100% honesty, the best and happiest times in my life have been when I lived in my little mobile homes! We have to be thankful for what we have, no matter how big or small. Don’t worry about the negative people. They are not happy! You have found something they can only dream of. You have found peace! That is something the negative people can’t achieve because they don’t know how to be thankful for what they have been blessed with. I’ve heard you tell your story of your life before. And I am amazed at how similar our lives are! We have followed a very similar path. I love your channel and have learned so much from you. Tessie I love your videos and I am living a quiet peaceful lifestyle. I am 70 years old and I also had a life of panic attacks and anxiety. I love to do crafts and and give them away to people who need a little pick me up at my church. I live on Social security so I do without a lot of things but I am happy and at peace because I have all needs, thanks to my Lord Jesus.

I'm 64 and I watch The Waltons daily. It's one of the only shows worth my time, because time is a precious gift from God. Each of our personal lives is what God gave us , just like the parable of the talents..some have more time than others.. It's what we choose to do with it ..Phillipians 4:8..
This is what God tells us to think on .let our hands find good things to do. People get irritated over anything and we can't please most people .each has their own life to choose how to live and if we want to be a Christian Homemaker that is our right. They have the right to be what they choose ..but we don't have the right hurt other people .Just move on! I want to spend my time on things that bring me joy, not tearing someone else down!

I’m 76 and love Little House On The Prairie along with The Walton’s.
My husband’s name is John and every night when I go to bed I say, goodnight John Boy and to my sweet Maltese, goodnight Laci Doll.
We sold our mini farm a number of years ago and downsized into a 5th wheel. I do almost everything I did in our house like dehydrating, canning, baking bread, cakes etc., make my own herbal tinctures, teas and salves, lots of cleaning products, personal products, kombucha, grow herbs and a few vegetables. Anything I can do myself I’m up to trying!
@sharrilswindle752- I'm 73 and we live the Walton's lifestyle on our 350 acre farm. While that may sound ideal, it is a lot of work, as well as a wonderful way to live. We are a slice of rural New Hampshire 1940. We move by the seasons. Last summer we cut 7,000 bales of hay. Then the boys mended fences. Next Sunday, we have help getting the Hereford cattle into the dairy barn for the winter. My husband and his brother are currently busy cutting firewood for our customers. Then they will switch to logging. I am recovering from a recent surgery, but feel well enough to make them a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I am pacing myself and almost have the kitchen and living room cleaned up for Thursday. Its all good. This lifestyle has been a Godsend. Our cottage was built in the woods at the base of the farm. It is a haven of tranquility. The only noise is the winter birds, who squabble and compete for bird seed. Our town is population 2,000. A tight knit country community of folks who help each other. Our librarian drops off books for me, as I cannot leave the house at the moment, unless some drives me. This kind of living takes life down to the core values. ~ Diane

@@wandafaulk3641 I try like Tessie does to take what I love doing what I can implement into our lives. The things I miss most from our mini farm are the chickens and the goats. However, there is a sweet lady about two miles from me that has chickens that I get eggs from and I have a source for both raw cow’s milk and goat’s milk, raw cheeses and cream etc.

We have to do what makes us happy. I took a shed and made a quail house. The opposite.😂
We moved from a large city to a small rural town, we threw our stress into the wind too. Now we are living a more simple stress free life now. More things slower and living with more intention and getting back to nature. The best thing here is that our water is high in iron and Maganese. I have finally felt as good as I felt when I was a kid, then started losing weight with the addition of the iron. Being anemic I had no idea what the low iron was doing to my body. Now our life is different and we wouldn't change it for anything. Getting back to the basics is essential for health. Watching your channel is an inspiration to all of us to have and appreciate slow living, intentional with love and wisdom.

Well said Tessie, well said indeed. My world like yours begins and ends within my little "farm" right here in the middle of a small city, two blocks from main street. Like you I've lost 80 pounds since January just by being calmer and working on my little farm. I'm 68 and i lost my husband of 44 years in August, God took him home very quickly. He made it possible to have a paid for house and some land and to live debt free. His gift to me was a great contentment in knowing that through Jesus I'll see him again and i live in this world but i am no longer a part of this world. I help those i can and with my hands and my work i give fresh vegetables to anyone who needs them. I'm no longer worried or have ANIXITY i sleep good at night because I'm tired. We're lucky Tessie we get the true meaning of what living happy really is. ❤

My second grade teacher read a chapter of the Little House books to us every day for the whole year. The Christmas where Laura got her very own tin cup so she wouldn't have to share a cup with her sister made a real impression on the seven year old me. She was so happy and grateful for a tin cup. I've tried all my life to be grateful for simple things because of it. It has been 64 years, but I remember it like yesterday. Be happy, Tessie. Don't worry about the Debbie Downers. They are probably jealous.

I could talk for hours about how beneficial your kind of lifestyle is! I KNOW! I used to live that rat race of working constantly to have " thing." That's not living! I have had a very ugly life so I understand how and why you needed to live in the world you have worked for.
