Things I learned as a medic in Squad; 1) if someone was sniped out in the open, don't go for them until the sniper is confirmed down, or they'll cap your revive and then cap you. Easy two kills for a marksman. 2) If you're not taking cover inside, do not revive people outside during an arty, just focus on yourself until it ends. 3) pulling your pistol is faster than pulling your rifle and will save your life 4) if you're securing a point or defending a super fob with multiple squads, more than 3 medics is considered a "triage unit" - work fast and together, and try to get out of a "TU" situation as quick as possible. Or if you're all dug in, don't; use it to your advantage, switching off smokes and patches, and if you're all out both, tell them and just focus on keeping health up or security. Dance is a darn good medic, btw.
Being a medic is also good idea if you are scare of getting stranded on point when everybody else just get wiped out. I've made numerous battle buddies on the field when I revived blueberries lying in the field and in some random places that I came across on my journeys. Also if you like to be the mvp of your squad, saving the situation where everybody got wiped out and you single handed them and get your squad back to its feet the medic is your role :P And last but not least being a blueberry yourself sometimes when shit hit the fan hard, other squads will adopt you much more likely if you are the medic, since that's pretty valuable asset on their ranks.
Solid video ! Advice coupled with great quality illustrative gameplay. You are definitely the highest-quality Squad youtuber out there. Keep up the good work !
I mostly play squad as MG or CQB guy and rarely play medic, recently had one of the best medic gameplay I’ve ever had. It was in an invasion game and I decided to play as the attacker and medic to get some fresh air. It was undoubtedly my most comedic & intense game I’ve ever had, through out the game my squad is both the unluckiest and luckiest squad, we found ourselves in deep shit multiple times and somehow with some luck and miracle managed to make it out alive… barely all the times through out the entire. And for me as the medic, knowing the attacking team in invasion always walking on thin line, I was constantly found myself on the hottest front line yelling everyone to not giving up. It was the first time I played medic so aggressively, always taking advantage of the surrounding and chaos of the fight to saved as many as I could. By the end of the match I realized I saved 32 people while only fired a few mostly to protect my teammates. The entire experience of my whole squad through the whole match could be made into a comedic drama film, especially like the last push on the last objective. I was unfortunately got shot in the open, and I thought it was over until I saw one of my squad mate ran up to me to revive me, but in return he was shot just to get me back up on my feet. When I got into cover I looked back just to see his body lying there in the open, it was very close from the cover but felt very far with all the bullets flying. Yet I determined to save my bro who gave his life to save me earlier, I used my last remaining smokes to drag him to safety and finally making him my 32nd person I saved that game.
I got a lot of love for medics, I’ve seen them revive entire squads and turn the tide on the capture point. If you are new to squad, don’t immediately give up when you get killed, if there is a guy near you, yell in local chat and ask them to revive you, remember all roles can revive as long as they have a Band-Aid.
fuck yeah. love the analysis of the medic. i used to see the medic as a noob kit, but i think you've convinced me to view it as a kit that takes more skill than meets the eye. great video
What i noticed playing medic is: 1) You will be asked to be assistant squad leader or fireteam leader a lot. 2) You gotta communicate like crazy. 3) You are the most beloved role on the battlefield 4) dont be afraid to revive the mass casualty situation when the combat intensity dies down. Especially if they are in good cover like a building. Ive seen heaps of games won or lost by less than 10 tickets.
Great addition for the Squad community and as an individual who has read various manuals for fun and has applied the tactics and attempted to lead in such a professional manner. Fantastic! I firmly believe this is a great start for anyone who wants to experience this sort of gaming simulation. Squad is certainly a team orientated game and I have experienced many who play as if it's the traditional person shooter. This is a game of teamwork, coordination and patience. If you are really wanting to dive deep into the game. Start by opting for a support role. I.e. Logi runs, medic, reserve push, shovel operator and posting as security. As the game evolves and after many more games. you will certainly have an idea of the flow of it. Also, let your Squad Leader know you are new and you're willing to learn the fundamentals. (you'll get the good and bad leaders but stay positive). I hope that all that read this and watches this video, keeps to the game!!! because as crazy as it does get, there is no revive in the real world
I find medic is my confort zone as well but when playing recently ive had alot of players yell at me to not leave them gray or to make sure to always full heal. I wish the grey full death thing only lasted for like 50-75% of a players healing but when not getting healed lasts the same amount of time (so there is still a good penalty for a non medic picking someone up) so people could still be half or 3/4 healed and not yell at me that there vision is still gray.
While I technically agree with "4. Don't always fully heal", it's almost never worth reviving another one before fully healing. Almost always the first priority in "after revive insta death" state is to avoid danger. It's not "a gun in the fight", it's a half blind non mobile "await healing" state. Ensuring one you just revived doesn't go dead dead and actually operational by healing him is better
Ive found that healing them slightly then continuing revives after is nice. It takes just a little bit of healing to stop being black n white, and thats when aim is tough and stamina doesnt regen
The greed is real with medics. Its always tugging at you but in my experience in Squad its always good to be patient especially when you go for a revive. The doubling up of medics drives me crazy. Theres always a grenade waiting for you when you do that.
I somewhat disagree with getting guys up and not fully healing them in a firefight. One little piece of frag will cost a ticket and be a waste of a bandage if you don't get them to full health when in the middle of a fight, so I try and fully heal guys in that situation before going for another revive.
I don’t think you should leave them totally unhealed, but just doing 2/3rds means they’re no longer one shot and it saves a lot more time than you think. The difference between three extra guns up vs two. Alternatively in a situation where you’re about to lose a spawn/radio it won’t matter anyway, and depending on how important that radio is and how close it is to bleeding out, it can be worth focusing on revives. But I think you’re right I may have overemphasized the revive over healing part, as most of the time you’ll want to get people to full health.

I really appreciate the points you made here.
Everything I want to say about medics keeps bringing me back to: Medics are there to win firefights.
Yeah, I love how he put it)

People will always yell lol. I always remember that as the medic YOURE in charge.
I love your videos, they always teach me a lot, and make me want to play lol
That's the entire goal of this channel man so glad to hear it!

It’s a tough one too because they have the perfect excuse of being a team player.
@@HaebyungDance or having your teammates force spawning before you can get to them makes me hurry too
