They made a PR for bf3 it's very similar & loads of fun! Just doesnt have a large player base yet so the servers are usually only active on weekends @Colonel_Mar
Not sure if it was you who said this, but a good rule of thumb I like is: bearings for local comms, cardinal directions for squad comms. Great video as always.
The 3-D's approach is rather intuitive, yet simple way to structure the comms. Cleared out some confusion on the scalings on the map too. Oh and great thanks for uploading the video in 1440p too
Closest match ever. I've also noticed an effect of people using tactical games' exceptional voice features to mess around like they see on those comedy channels like Nano's. The reality is, those videos are edited down to only represent a tiny fraction of the match when funny stuff happened, but the vast majority of it plays more like your videos. There are two cases where it's acceptable to mess around for a bit: 1. Over proximity chat - do not hog squad radio with these shenanigans, and 2. During moments of downtime like waiting for a HAB dig when there's no contact. As soon as a fight breaks out, be prepared to drop your conversation and get tactical. Try to keep the starstruck reactions to TH-camrs at a minimum too. They just want to play the game
Also adding on to the tracked vehicles part if you’re not a nerd that doesn’t know the silhouette of every modern military vehicle from 500m you can always just say you saw a vehicle but are unsure what it is so a more experienced player can check it out
Thank you for making this video. I have just over 1900 hours on Squad. There's been a big influx of new players recently, so I've been helping a lot more new players. The information in this video and other videos you've made really help.
I am floored by the level of coordination versus the limited number of tools given. I will never take Helldiver 2 pings for granted ever again. Amazing video. Thank you for making this! 😊
An SL guide is something that I’ve considered and have in the works. But I want to make sure it’s RIGHT. In the meantime I might release a more general strategy guide before then.
For target acquisition yes, but you still need detailed targeting information for accurate shots, which is where the ranging techniques come into play.
I understand mildots are generally helpful for range finding as well; in that if you know the scope you're using, you can make a good approximation based on the size of a human sized target within the scope.
IF YOU WANT ANOTHER REASON TO PRACTICE COMMUNICATION: All of what dance said above CAN be used in other games, universally. Hell itll help you convey your thoughts IRL as well, in your work etc. Ive been doing all of these for years now and it works like a charm, NEVER underestimate what a few good comm procedures and tactics can do. The only problem? Itll become an addiction 😁
How do you all feel about the new dub/caption text on screen during the gameplay segment?
I really like it! Especially color-coding for squad/local voice chat too.
@runnerduck0272 Thanks for the feedback!
Non-native speaker here. Helps very much. Especially when comms get chaotic.
That’s very important for accessibility. Thanks for letting me know!
it helps me actually pay attention to the information instead of zoning out and just watching the gameplay
If the game starts with squad lead saying "mic check" to everyone, you know its gonna be a good game
For sure - that old PR tradition!
@@HaebyungDancemost of the players in Squad probably doesn't know PR
You’re right, but it’s one of those things that started in the Squad community from the PR community playing Squad in its early days.
PR is still the best. Maps like Rommel. I hope they do an equivalent or build from scratch an exact replica.

Absolutely agree - passing the time during slow moments is great, but better get down to business when it's go time.
SLs are trying to coordinate on command chat while the grunts are talking about pussy, football or cars on the local chat. Shit's too real

That admin voice-of-god at that epic last stand was so poetic.
When I joined the army in the mid-80s I was taught that you must shoot, move and communicate if you wish to survive on the modern battlefield.

Amazing video. Thank you for making this! 😊
What a fantastic summary! I feel like this should be mandatory watching for all squad players
Totally guilty of this myself sometimes! Lots to learn!
Thank you! But yeah like I say in the video I'm guilty of bad habits all the time so it's just a constant thing everyone needs to put effort into!
@@HaebyungDance maybe squad needs these sort of tips displayed on the loading screen. That way more players are exposed to such info?
OWI could def use better pre-game tips/tutorials. Another thing is more detailed post-game summaries.
Its one of those old games youd love to see the new ticket timeline at the end of the game
4:45 that GL was nasty
Yeah I got done dirty with that one
I love videos like these that mention on the soft factors such as communications rather than hard factors.
With that said, will you ever consider an SL guide?
An SL guide is something that I’ve considered and have in the works. But I want to make sure it’s RIGHT. In the meantime I might release a more general strategy guide before then.
Instead of distance, you can call out landmarks, which can be a better aid for fast target acquisition.
For target acquisition yes, but you still need detailed targeting information for accurate shots, which is where the ranging techniques come into play.
another solid video
I appreciate it brother!

Yes! If you know the approximate size of the target and you memorize the formula it’s a great technique to use.
communication communication communication
Can I just say I really appreciate the clean thumbnails that tell us whether a vid is discussion or gameplay
Yeah man glad that it’s a good feature!

Yeah communication is really a life skill that transfers well to Squad.
❤ another great video! Glad you edited down our Turtle. So intense
Yeah man it was an awesome round! Thanks for commanding!
For estimating range with the map scale, I use the devil horns method.
I don’t think I’ve heard of this one - would you mind a quick tutorial?
Use your index and pinky fingers as a drafting compass.
@@nathanperkins5353 I have no idea how I've never come across this information, and you've just changed my fucking life. Thank you!
This is really good
Thanks I appreciate it!
30 revives differences between team, that's the game right there
That team was truly the dream team. Everyone pulled together in a pub match and it was outstanding.
I thought it was positioning :D, but coms are mad important too :) People used to use them more it feels...
Positioning is important! Just wanted to devote a vid to comms first lol
I mastered shooting grenade launcher at 400+ meter accurately with 50 meter sight:DD you just feeeel it.
Some people are just blessed by the god of 40mm.
@@HaebyungDance Allahu akbar 👺
Nice content, man.
Could you create a video about how/when save and heal friends as a combat medic?
A medic guide is a good one - I’ll put that in the running.
Thanks for commenting man
SAMK
Suppress
Assess
Move
Kill.
Love me some acronyms - I was tempted to throw ADDRAC in this video but decided to keep it simple lol
i now know my ABC
Good comms is simply A,B,C,D,D,D Rodger that !
Easy to remember right?
The game is excellent, however its very hard to spot an enemy. please make a video to assist with this.
I feel your pain hearing your footage ... Definitely need more ABC n 3Ds
If you are losing tickets and feel like on a back foot.
Defend, attacking will only makes things worse as squad leading.
Knowing when to shift footing is very important indeed!
Unless the ticket is bleeding, in which case offense is unavoidable
How do you know Haebyung😂

I was expecting you to give ADDRlol. Rah
I ALMOST talked about ADDRAC but I wanted to keep it simple and easy to remember LOL
