Holy Moly. I had no idea we’d be able to use existing mobile phones. That is insane. I struggle to get a signal in the UK in many places. The idea a mobile phone could connect to a satellite 500 miles away is nuts. Amazing for yachting if it progresses to data. I hope the price is not mental and this truly goes global.

My guess is that "ordinary" people can't grasp how anyone can have the ability to not only see a problem but also have the brainpower to see solutions. Then have the strength of will to build and juggle multiple companies all integrating towards the same goal. When that same person also is witty and fun with seemingly no "I'm better than you" attitude some people think he is somehow "cheating".

Starlink and Space X are in a bind regarding their new satellites (albeit a bind of their own doing that has no competition in sight). They REALLY need the new Starship rockets to work so they can deploy their new satellites and boost the ability of the Starlink service. This timing was critical to Mars missions. I don’t watch too many videos about Starlink, but I was thinking they should have kept the answers simple. Just say something like, it will work like a regular mobile service that can be accessed around the world. Until the Starlink system is fully assembled there will be some lag time when the service is overloaded, like normal cell services. After all of the Gen 2, Starlink Satellites are up, millions of people can watch streaming videos. But from the start, thousands of calls, texts, and emails will be streaming fast where there are enough satellites.
If they did that, they would have had more time to answer the last question, Will Starlink be used around the solar system? The answer I was expecting was, “Yes, that is why SpaceX started Starlink, but we first need to use it around the world. To the Moon we will start with one Gen 2 Satellite at each fuel depo, so we can have real-time communications from the Lunar Gateway. After we have thousands of people on the Moon, we will add more Starlink Satellites at the fuel depots. We will do the same thing as the city on Mars grows, so you can text your grandparents who have retired to Mars with little delay.
I understand there were other questions, but they could have been answered with more general answers. Understood in the right context? Starlink is to grant phone service to locations without any mobile phone services.
The next question that they should have had time to answer should have been about the development of faster-than-light laser communications. I’m guessing lasers will be used from Earth to Mars with Generation 3 Starlink Satellites or will Starlink already be using laser relays?
I’m asking because I don’t know the first thing about how Starlink works???

I work as a Tmob executive. we receive many calls daily whr customers complain abt services and coverage issues...whr the modernization is done but still they face same issues..and when they visit store they are duped by the store reps to upgrade phones..bcs they wnted to meet their sales targets..thts not true.. never listen to store guys..just call or chat with us, if the issue is escalated, network ticket is created and still no issue is found then simply cancel your services and change carriers..we are not allowed to proactively offer cancellation to any customer. Thus if u guys are looking to cancel just dont " threat" just say it and change carriers instead of getting trapped by our retention policy whr we offer u credits, false promise, a network booster...but the truth is if its not working after so many attempts it wont work ever...so instead of staying and getting frustrated day on day...its better to cancel and move on..
