You are SO talented Birgit!!! I always love it when one of your videos pops up on my feed. You never disappoint. Thanks for another fabulous video! Joanne
This is my new favorite! I love your results, and it looks like so much fun. I struggle with abstract concepts, and stenciling is one of those things. But stamping, that's something my brain seems excited about.
Thank you Birgit!! This technique is so much fun. For any Aussie viewers - I tried this with greaseproof paper from Coles but it wasn't as transparent as the white gift-wrap tissue paper I bought at the $2 shop. The tissue worked well and gave results like Birgit's examples.
I LOVE this! I have just bought a gel printing plate but haven’t tried it yet. I’ve always loved working with tissue paper and applying it to projects so this is really inspiring! The colours are so bright and the layering looks amazing. Thanks for your demo!
It is stunning and beautiful! I appreciate you showing the full process of how to use the prints you created. I sometimes feel lost about what all I can do with them. Thanks.
This is fantastic Birgit I wonder if we're doing this in the workshops next weekend 15th n 16th July! Can't wait for it and to meet you. Definitely need some Matt medium xxx
Your results are always fabulous Birgit! QUESTION: In your opinion, does Deli paper or Tissue paper give the best results for this technique??? Looking forward to your thoughts - thanks!
These are some wonderful ideas... One thing I realized while trying this - you need plenty of room to dry the papers! lol So I ended up using my fireplace mantel. My kitchen table was already full of paints.
LOVE all your videos (not sure if its just my eyes) I can never read the writing; would love to see words clearly printed in B+W on the description area TH-cam provides. Thanks for the inspiration.
Lovely technique Birgit. One question: Are you using Fluid acrylics? For some reason I can't get my fluid acrylics to 'stick' on the plate, how do you do that?
I really like the Letters& Numbers stamp(s) you used in your third group of prints. Looked on the blog but didn’t see the name. Do you remember? This is one of my favorite BK videos btw. Thanks!
A little tip: Spread "the recipe" (Mix 50% matte medium/50% gel medium with a little water) on top of the Gelli printed tissue paper which has been placed on a sheet of plastic. Let it dry. Then it can be cut, torn or die cut.
I'm pretty sure they're Carabelle masks. They're French and are sold in Australia, Europe and the U.S.. www.artstamp.fr/masques-art-mask-medium,fr,3,76.cfm
Cecilia Sawyer which stencils do you mean? They are all Carabelle. But there are a few from the latest release maybe that's why you didn't recognize them?
Oh my gosh, what gorgeous creations!
Just STUNNING!
This is one of the most inspiring how to videos I've watched in a while. Thank you for sharing your technique and your beautiful results!
You have a great eye for color, value and composition!

What a great technique. Those cards turned out beautiful!
Absolutely stunning I always love watching and learning from you 🥰
How brilliant is that? Love the random-ness of the designs, but they work.
I'm papering a wall with this technique. Lots of fun. Love your videos Birgit.
Loved what you did with the finished pieces.
You are SO talented Birgit!!! I always love it when one of your videos pops up on my feed. You never disappoint. Thanks for another fabulous video! Joanne

Kate Ives thank you for sharing that!
Just lovely! I'd like to make cards this way, but also, what a great little collage to enlarge as an abstract painting!
I really like this style.
Love!!!! Gorgeous and unique backgrounds.

Beautiful
Just love it
Love the tutorial but had a hard time reading the white subtitles against the white background.
Love it!!!
This is fantastic Birgit I wonder if we're doing this in the workshops next weekend 15th n 16th July! Can't wait for it and to meet you. Definitely need some Matt medium xxx
Excellent demo, will try to do some layering with the deli paper we made in Color Crush, too. Then I can compare the results.
It will be a bit less translucent but also great to use :)
Beautiful!
Love this video... can't wait to try it. Do you have ant tips on the brand of acrylic paint to use to get the best results? Thanks
love this techniqque!!!
Beautiful, thank you!
Love this video, great tutorial!
Beautiful collage! TY 4 the demonstrations...Would you please let us know where to purchase the tissue paper used in this tutorial....Many thanks....
I just buy white tissue paper at the dollar store.
Your results are always fabulous Birgit! QUESTION: In your opinion, does Deli paper or Tissue paper give the best results for this technique??? Looking forward to your thoughts - thanks!
Tissue paper is more transparent. Deli paper is a really nice look in itself, but it won't show other layers as clearly.
As BlaizC said :)
I prefer using the deli paper.
Thank you so much I really love 💕 this. It’s really so inspirational and stunning. xx m

What are you using to adhere the tissue paper to itself? Gel medium, pvc, white glue???
Fab. Now I know what to do with all the tissue paper I saved over the years :0)
Outstanding
Just went crazy over these!! Ps. Can’t read white letters on white background...
Lovely technique Birgit. One question: Are you using Fluid acrylics? For some reason I can't get my fluid acrylics to 'stick' on the plate, how do you do that?

Love this! Where do you buy this paper? I'm from the Netherlands too!
Martine Kruijswijk bij www.cchobby.nl :)
Thank you!!!
Is this deli paper, or paper for gifts?
Awesome
Where is that flower looking paint, medium holder from?
J'aime.
Where can I purchase that alpha/number collaged stamp? thanks, great video
carolyn_ r try Joggles - I get all my Carabelle stamps and stencils there
Do you seal them with clear gesso?
I love this!!! love the texture and how bright those colors are!!! What paper are you using ??
It's very thin tissue paper, like the kind you find in shoe boxes.
A little tip: Spread "the recipe" (Mix 50% matte medium/50% gel medium with a little water) on top of the Gelli printed tissue paper which has been placed on a sheet of plastic. Let it dry. Then it can be cut, torn or die cut.
I love this technique soo much! Where do you get the little stencils and who makes them? Thanks for this video. Love it!
I'm pretty sure they're Carabelle masks. They're French and are sold in Australia, Europe and the U.S.. www.artstamp.fr/masques-art-mask-medium,fr,3,76.cfm
Yes, as Kate said, All stamps and stencils I use in my videos are either Carabelle Studio or home made :)
Thanks Kate, I did recognize the Carabelle masks and I do love their stamps but the other stencils are not familiar.
Cecilia Sawyer which stencils do you mean? They are all Carabelle. But there are a few from the latest release maybe that's why you didn't recognize them?
Won't acrylic paint potentially damage stamps?
Awesome tfs
I would love to do this very cant find tissue paper what about wax deli paper
Yay!
Wow!!!!
What kind of matte medium?
Awesomeq
Is this tissue paper or deli paper?
Seems like I have to go and get some new shoes to go with the gelli plate :)
I
Hello Birgit ~ Please tell us who makes the circle and star in circle stencil...Thank you for your response. ~ Gracie
Hi Gracie, all stamps and stencils I use are from Carabelle Studio :)
Do they have an English website? everything is in french
Juliana Leo no I'm afraid not, but where are you from? There are shops all over the world where you can buy Carabelle.
I'm in the US - sure wish I had taken French in School! lol Thanks for the reply. Juliana
Juliana Leo haha! Well, you can find a lot of my stamps and other designs from Carabelle at Simonsaysstamp.com 😊
😍😍
😍😍😍😍😍
Love it!!!!!!
