  • Today I reveal the new Uzumaki Garage project car. Its a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI mad in Japan in 1999. One of the last WRC champions. I'm want to restore this car and drive it as much as possible. But I'm worried about the extent of rust it has. Restorers in the UK would probably laugh at my concern but over the next few weeks I'll strip down the car and assess the condition and decide if its within my ability to save it from the scrap metal truck. #ralliart #tarmac #wrc

    If I have made any mistakes in this video please let me know.
    I know sometimes my videos are very basic but hopefully they will help some people. I also like to document what I do to the car with video while trying to be creative. Most of the time I do everything here myself which is a big job and its hard to remember everything, I shoot most of this stuff with my old iPhone and sometimes my old GoPro. The "Pieces to Camera" I film with a Canon 5D, I don't have a real video camera at all. I would love to get a SONY FX3 some day to go on the gimbal I recently bought for fancy shots in future videos.
    Take a look at my Instagram Account @uzumaki.garage which is mostly photos of my own cars. One of my Reels there has almost reached 1.2 Million Views!
    Uzumaki Garage is in Australia. We love many things about Japan and can't wait to return. But until then we enjoy Japanese food, music, whisky, tattoos and the modern classic JDM cars. I also can't wait to return to crazy Los Angeles California USA and go to some car meets, its been too long.
    Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your car or in your garage. Sanding, grinding and painting is dangerous to your health and life. Follow the manufacturers recommended safety procedures not mine. Read the instructions and download the PDF safety sheets. Clutch and Brake dust is extremely Dangerous so don't use compressed air near it.

    Good to see you got another one to work on, the 6.5 is gorgeous. I just finished rebuilding my CM5A GSR engine last weekend and have been enjoying it all this week. Have had mine for 10 years. Happy to have found your channel. Look forward to this resto.

      Hi mate. 10 years well that's a good achievement as many people don't. and thanks I love the 6.5 too but this evo 6 will be fun as I won't feel I need to stay 100% original Mitsubishi. I have a few ideas for a unique look for it providing I don't find bad rust in it. cheers from Australia

    I'm hanging for this build. Honestly TH-cam needs more CP builds. If I had time and money I'd try and replicate what you're doing.

    • @UzumakiGarage

      That's great to know. I have to be careful I don't go into too much technical detail in the videos. Let me know if you think too much detail or not enough. Maybe I should do short and long versions??? Yes it takes a lot of time but you can save a lot of money by repainting or re-plating things instead of replacing old stuff with new parts. cheers

    • @sim08u
      @sim08u ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UzumakiGarage I agree, some of my parts I've simply brushed off the old surface rust and repainted and they look new again.

    If you want to know where to get the genuine looking aircon hose insulation without buying a whole new hose send me a dm. I just recently replaced mine

    • @UzumakiGarage
      @UzumakiGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate. I'll remove the dodgy insulation soon to see if this hose can be saved. For some reason extra hose has been added to the oem hose and that ugly insulation too.
