@@mikelay5360No they weren't best in class after iPhone 14 Pro Max launch. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has identical battery life to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

@Serzhik_Chinese iPhone 14 pro max battery degrade the fastest and is at 88 percent after a year 15 pro max has less battery life and will cost more so the best option is 13 pro max or s23 ultra in my opinion s23 ultra but if you like apple ecosystem then 13 pro max is for you
This is a Gaming test of course the better chip last not that long if both are running on max settings
It should be more efficient, its not even that much faster
Still not 5000 mAh battery standard sizes. Trash tim Cook.
My phone from 2022 has a 5000mAh & it last well over 26 hours with mid to heavy use.

I bought it and it’s broken yesterday
I'm coming from a 13 pro max and surprised at how much worse the battery life is. It's not insanely bad but considering when i first got my iphone 13 pro max i could get 2 days out of a full charge to now needing to charge my 15 pro max every day its a bit shocking. For the minimal new features, I should have stuck it out with the 13 pro max for another year :/

It is insanely bad I bough mine last Christmas and my battery life is down to 91
I second that, I upgraded yesterday from my 12 pro max to 15 pro max. The battery drain is too much. 13 percent for a 2 hour call. With 5g off , background refresh off, the call was audio , screen brightness set to 10 percent. I was planning to take this to the service center🥲

Very disappointed with 15PM battery on my unit. My 13PM battery was incredible out of the box. My 15PM died mid-afternoon just taking sporadic photos/videos and checking email at Disneyland.
@@Dannyblazer1985 I hear ya, and I thought of that. But, I don’t think that explains it. I had zero issues getting through a full day at DLand with my 13. I’m talking 8am to 10pm with same level of usage. With the 15, I’m dead at 3pm. 14 hours versus 7. I was rarely using it in direct sunlight; you think occasional 2,000 nits peaks explains that? Maybe my battery is a lemon.
@@ryanw8664 Were you testing the phone at disney land the day you got it? Takes a few days for the battery to learn it's cycles and read proper numbers. Did the phone ACTUALLY die or was the percentage just low and you ran to a charger? Even the percentage will be off as I noticed when I plugged my iPhone into my Mac and ran "coconutbattery" it showed that the capacity of the battery was actually much larger than the maximum charge capacity. The phone just needs time to configure itself. Give it a week or so and if your battery life doesn't improve then maybe take it to Apple. Mine is totally fine and I'm even using the new "Limit to 80%" charging optimization feature.
I have the same with my 15pm… my 13pm was much better… I could use it 2 days!!

I literally watched a test where the reviewer filmed all the iPhones from the past few years next to each other all doing the same tasks with an overhead camera running the entire time, with timelapse and the iPhone 15 Plus had the best battery life out of any iPhone, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max was in 2nd place and was way better than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. So not sure where you're getting your data from. Also I've been using my iPhone 15 Pro Max and the first day or so the battery life was bad as it was optimizing everything (it also felt hot where the logic board is), and now the battery life is great and it's not heating up to any level that is worse than before. Feels cool 90% of the time and I don't really play games on my phone but if I do it's slightly warm.
Plus I even have the new "Limit to 80%" charging feature turned on as I'm always near a charger in my line of work so it helps keep the battery from deteriorating quickly. My 14 Pro Max that I have yet to sell is down to 86% capacity in only a year... pretty terrible.
Poor battery life Iphone 15 pro max. My iphone 13 pro max battery life was amazing.
I bought the iPhone 15 pro and I’m angry. The iPhone run for around 7 hours. Where are the twenty hours of videos Apple is talking about. It’s worse than my iPhone X whose battery is at the end of life. I’m freaking out !!

This is exactly why I did not get excited about the whole console games on iphone 15 pro. Until I can see it running for a long period of time without throttling ill be impressed but as of right now my skepticism was correct
I have 14 pro max and my friend bought 15 pro max both are very overheating why apple not fix this issue I'm going to upgrade s24 ultra next year i will not buy iphone again

If you are on iOS 17, then of course it wont be very good battery life right now. Gotta wait for 17.0.2 or 17.1 before we see improvements on battery life on the new devices.

I can confirm this i only use my 15promax for daily gaming such as carx street and i been using the phone for 2 months my battery went from 100 to 99 man in 2 months idk what to say now my cycle count is 57 bro 💀

This phone really have issues with battery and heating problem. Its my first day with iphone 15 pro , its been heating on normal use while brightness on peak

We keep say the same thing every year and never changes.
They seem to have done, because my June 24 built model is just fine and since the end of the first week of use it has been limited to 80% charging. It still gives me 24 hours moderate use with plenty of charge to spare for the second day.
Bad battery life, poor performance, thermal throttling overheating issues, the S23U Snapdragon Gen 2 whipped it ass performance wise.

Yeah the battery on the 15 pro is dooky, returned it today for the 15 pro max (i was able to snag one after 3 hours of searching 😅)
Curious - how do you just return the phone? And do retailers just accept that?
@@Death__machine i ordered mine through bestbuy and i was able to return it there. For bestbuys policy you have 14 or 15 days to return it if unsatisfied

Since my old phone much better than my new phone. (Redmi 9a that i got it for first bought) after 3 years the battery got worse. Then i got a new phone which is itel P55 and it seems the battery life looks awful when i gaming and actually gets hot when i charged-_-

I’ve a June24 15Pro Max and have had it since early July. The battery is limited to 80% charging in the menu yet lasts me 24 hours of average usage every time and would probably last two days, but I haven’t tried that yet. Never experienced a heating problem. Maybe, as usual, Apple have sorted early issues during production and software updates?
Yes it's been a year now. So, on a software level. Things are sorted!
Those phones are are junk, they last even less than 14 pro which was already worse than 13 Pro
All apps are still not optimized. New chip doesn’t mean that it will work with every app’s flawlessly

You forgot to mention that the "Chinese reviewer" side-loaded the game onto his phone. So he's running an unauthorized and presumably unoptimized version of the app on a (presumably) hacked iPhone (to sideload). I'd take his results with a major heaping skeptism...
It really doesn't matter, the chip pulls 14w of power at peak, how are you still trying to defend it, the battery life is going to be bad no matter how optimized the game is.
lol you clearly didn't understand the video, he didn't sid-load any unorthorized apps, he simply used ios 16's developer mode HUD monitoring tool to test the game because the testing software he was using doesn't support ios 17 yet. And the fact you feel the need to emphasize his ethnicity only shows your biase against him.

Sideloading is a normal feature. Heck, it's even mandatory for apple to implement here in the EU :)

14 pro max has very good battery life
It has actually the worst. My iPhone is already at 90% battery life. A friend of mine on a iPhone 13 has the same battery life in 2 years! I really hope they fixed this with the iPhone 15, that’s the main reason why I change to that model
ive seen a lot of talk about this issue but everyone I know that has that phone has no issues at all one of them went down 2% in around 6 months. @@TheJamesBraun
@@TheJamesBraunI’m on 14PM for exactly one year at this point and I’m still on 100, my biggest tip is to use 5W charger for it, it’s what helped me to remain 100%
Genshin Impact is not a good benchmark. The optimisation is terrible. Even pc’s have performance issues.
