I am a filipino, and i would like to share my grandparents and parents taught us. It also a answer for the question "too much kindness or respect might gone too far?" My Grandparents and Parents taught us if they bully you or take advantage to your kindness and respect. You should give it more to them, more kindness and more respect. The reason is you will kill them with your kindness, then you'll see years later that he/she adapt your kindness and respect in some reasons. That is my Grandparents and Parents taught us. And i like to share this monolog of Filipinos "Pag Binato ka ng bato, Batuhin mo ng tinapay" in english "if some throw a stone to you, you should throw them back using bread". Thats how most of Filipino thinking.

Yeah, thats too deep. If having too much respect, may go too far. Yes, in reality, Filipinos were being looked down. We are being discriminated. Even in our own country. Foreigners believe we are too hospitable, generous, and respectful that they disrespect our laws. They're making fun of us and they think we only want money from them. Its sad but its true. I guess too much respect really may gone too far.

Even before Spain conquered the Philippines, the original native Filipinos had their own writing and communication which is derived from the old Sanskrit of Arabic origin.
"Kuya" is one of those words derived from the original language and survived the colonial periods. I'm not sure how it was spelled correctly before though.

As human being we deserve to be respect.. Whatever culture, races, age.... How you treat a person in a nice way I thought it's kind of respect.. They say respect begets repect... Even without this thing if we always keep in mind to treat a person well I think it's enough.. But as Filipino our culture exists the way we get respect and our elder are important part of it because they brought that culture passed to this generation I hope it is still existing because some of young generation nowadays was lacked of practice, that way we lost and forget them however I still hope it will pass to the next generation.. Because its beautiful thing. Thank you for your kind appreciation.. 😊

The Filipino in general are expected to help elderly who needs help when they need it like when they have to cross the street, also pregnant women, we always give way to them in public transport or any situation that requires falling in line.
Most Filipino cultures are pretty normal to us until we hear a lot of feedback from foreign countries that we do amazing things here in the Philippines.

And you pronounced "utang na loob" perfectly like a Filipino. By the way, it's really easy to read tagalog words. Very sad to see that, How could they trust someone to take care of their parents. Thats why we filipino are way different from other race, because we dont need luxury items to be happy. What we value is happiness and family.

Ang galing mo na Ovela bumigkas ng mga salitang Pilipino. ;-) Very basic at isa lamang ang dapat nating tandaan sa pag bigkas ng mga vowels, puro short sounds lahat yan. The A vowel sounds like in "up"; E as in like "egg"; I as in like "it'; O as in like "ball"; U as in "put". All our vowels are short sounds but are more emphasized/stressed when spoken.

Love has no price. Our parents loved us and accept us tirelessly, pricelessly with their whole life, So if giving back and be responsible for them is too much? Then you should think and analyze how much love you them. Was it comparable to your saying the word "too much?" All Filipinos they knew debt of gratitude is priceless, unmeasurable. Now if you want to give it back its up to you and if you are self centered then throw your parent in a home for the senior.... Weak people know how to quit coz that is the easiest thing to do and when they do... they have self vindication like "i didnt ask them to love or to do it for me...." We Filipino's have culture.... a really good one. Being responsible though is not easy but we knew we are far stronger people just to quit in these kind of matters. And to make it simple, just ask to yourself what is right and what is wrong morally, academically, spiritually, and personally? Being responsible or irresponsible?
    im just saying hahaha....

The man in the video talks almost about respect for family, yes it is so true. But man, friendship is taken very seriously as well. It's like every Filipino grew up having a bestfriend. I for one we are now living our lives distantly but we keep constant communication with my bestfriend.

Your friend here in this video, she looks beautiful & more look beautiful when she smiles.. I thought at first she's a filipina because of the color of her skin.. It's what we called morena for girls & moreno for boys.. She's funny too! Good thing you didn't cut the part where she said the "utang na loob" line even she ask you to.. Her reaction after saying that she looks beautiful.. I hope i could see her more on your video in the future.. God, bless on your youtube & looking forward for more filipino/philippines videos in your content.. Thank you! ❤️ from us here in 🇵🇭🙂😊

Yeah you pronounced it correct man! i've noticed that the guy who is narrating doesn't know that it's not only our parents that we should take good care of,
    our old aged aunties, uncles,
even 1st cousins, nephews and nieces with no more parents and nowhere to go and got no job? we welcome them to our house because
they also blood related Family. But if course the one who is willing to accept them
must have a stable job and financial status capable of handling great responsibilities but also some relatives who knew the Family situations are also sending their support for the
ungortunate relatives that's how far we value Family and relatives and how are Family
circle ties together not only to our aged parents. Well if you've noticed that your relatives are taking advantage of your kindness
best thing to do is to have a heart to heart talk, tell them
that inspite of the heavy burdens you have had shouldered when you accept them in your house and to them to be ungrateful is not fair for you that they must cooperate and took their part
in household chords or do something atleast to earn for a living to contribute in everyday expenses that could help financial problems of the Family.
or else they can live their own life witjout your help.

Because Filipino folks have contact with Persian-Arabian traders before the Spanish arrival in the country. We do have some loan words from different parts of Asia like in Arabic: Husgado and Hukom. And to take note that before Spanish Inquisition in Spain, they are part of Muslim Caliphate were some of Spanish words are Arabic origin. 👍 It's funny how Spain and Arabs bump to each in another land like the Philippines. 🇵🇭

Ate and Kuya is when addressing an older sister and brother. Ate originally somewhat evolved from a chinese word for a next older sister. In Chinese they have names to call on for every succeeding Sister and brothers that was adopted by the Filipinos. For sister we have, Ate, ditchi, Insi. For a brother, Kuya, diko and Inko, shoti for youngest brother.
Just in case, in Cebuano or Visayan (Bisaya) speaking filipinos, Ate and Kuya in Cebuano is Manoy and Manang
