Can the Ryzen 7 7700X play AAA Games without a graphics card? Let's Find Out.

Would you be able to try running Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion? Also, I can't wait to see what AMD have in mind for AM5 APUs! The 6400MHz ram is gonna help give the iGPU all the speed it needs to put all the graphics out to the monitor. I think that was the issue with iGPUs using DDR4 ram. The speed of the ram just wasn't fast enough.

I expect AMD to release '7000G' series APUs in the future. I think they are incorporating the 2CU Graphics to allow these chips to be used in office computers by OEMs. The fact that 2CUs can do this much though shows just how potent RDNA2 is.

To people wondering why this iGPU is weaker than 5600 G and 5700 G iGPU, its because it's only meant to be used as display output if your dedicated GPU has a problem. Too bad you didn't have a 2200G or 2400G, would have loved to see a versus against AMD's first Ryzen APUs. From what I can tell, the measly little 128 RDNA2 stream processors in these chips are roughly equal to the 2200G (and the UHD Intel ones in their modern CPUs... when their druvers work) and faster than their old entry level 3000G and such ones. Overall not to bad, considering what it is.
BTW looks like for desktop (AM5), we'll have to wait for Q3 2023 for a direct succesor to 5700G and the likes. By the looks of it, it will be Phoenix Point/RDNA3/Zen4 based, so skipping Rembrandt.

You may be able to increase the vram in the bios which could help a bit with 1080p. I was able to do it on the beelink ser5 5600h with the gaming setting brings it from 512mb to 4gb. With 32gb system memory it should work just fine. I get that it's a limited igpu but I think it would be worth testing.

One thing could you test the USB 4/eGPU support thats the last thing I'm yet to see out there yet

Actually not too bad, I had an RX 570 4GB with my 3800X and 3D Mark was in the mid to high 4000s. I replaced it recently with an RX 6700 XT which jumped me to around the mid 12000s.

This is great for people building AMD-based office machines too. Before, youd have to buy something like an Nvidia 1030 or RX 550 to get low end graphics output without external power. Or get a Ryzen G series, which was usually based on previous gen architecture. And while the G series iGPUs were great, this lets you focus on that CPU for productivity and office use.

God of War at 720p FSR (probably 540 or 480 upscaled) in low settings between 20-30fps. This feels like my experience with Crossout back in 2019 with my NVS 2100M (basically double bandwidth Geforce 210). Still had fun though, who'd have thought that DX10.1 hardware can still game.

Did you try overcloking? i heard it can reach 3Ghz whiout too much issue. Anyway, its not only the 2CUs, it also has minimal L2 cache compared to the Steam Deck or Rembrandt APUs. Im petty sure this is only intended in order to have full USB C spec on the motherboard.

The Mendicino chips really aren't meant for gaming. Honestly a bit sad ngl. Even the best case scenarios look quite grim.

One of the reasons why I wasn't impressed with the 5600G and 5700G is that it really hampers the CPU performance vs the non-g variant because of having half the cache. And cache is what gaming is about. I never even thought about having a 3D version of the APU to get all that cache back and on a full cpu to boot. Good call. I hope it happens. They'd probably charge $800+ for it though. lol
