I believe those washers are intended to be using to help level the rail by installing them horizontally and sliding them until level is achieved.

Great point! I leveled mine before drilling, and most of the washers stayed square while keeping the rail level. But I can definitely see how this would be even more helpful on an uneven wall that requires a lot of adjustments.

Do you do anything to the bottom to get them plumb? The rail pushes the top away from the wall while the bottom touches the wall. Just live with it?

Never mind I missed a step in the assembly of the cabinet. Missed the wall bumpers 😂
