I assume the quality of the assistant manager's football knowledge always has a role to play with the AI.
To be honest with you I always thought this was well known. When players feel good, they are more likely to play at their best, and unsurprisingly when they feel poorly, they don't often perform. The exception are those players who are determined to prove the manager wrong. They are more rare in game, but they love a combative manager.
Fitting that Ted Lasso plays 4-4-2 as in the recent episode, Roy Kent suggested the squad play a 4-4-2 in their coming season
They've never really spoken about it before, but the tactics boards basically always show them in some form of a 4-4-2.
Now he plays with total football

Why does this feel like how the show could potentially play out? Great save, man!
Pretty funny that his biggest success came from managing Tottenham the club he "manages" in the NBC Sports commercials which was the origination of the character
Swap the squads of the prem and national league and see whether the prem teams can rebuild with an awful squad in time to avoid dropping quickly and whether National league sides can rise quick enough to avoid losing their best players on a free (either by using the talented players or the sales of Said players)

Motherwell legend Ted Lasso, never thought I'd see that. I think his optimism would be tested up here tbh.
It makes sense that by highlighting the motivation attribute he win many cups, more than leagues
I think what this really shows is how overpowered the motivator archetype of manager is. Doesn't matter if the team is only OK, their morale is the best in the league.

This is so strange... I suppose because he is so bad at the minor aspects, those simply get delegated to more capable people whereas a perfect manager might do everything at once and gets spread too thin. Highly speculative how the game deals with it for real, though.
It is just that at a large club your actual ability to coach is second to your ability to manage a team. Coaching ability only matters in smaller leagues where you might be one of two or three coaches.

You should swap the top 5 leagues tv deals, give it to the bottom 5 leagues and give the top 5 leagues a paltry tv deal and see how long it takes for the bottom 5 to rise up and see how far the top 5 can fall from grace
Here's a suggestion for you, bring back some legends in game, Pele, Maradona, Best etc. starting at their first clubs if they still exist as wonderkids, as many as you like but only one legend per country, and see how they do

You should create an alphabet league.
Every letter gets 10 teams (the 10 with the highest reputation), at the end of the season every letters fight in a tournament for the playoffs.
