I've made Haaland and Mbappe Managers in Football Manager 2024. In this experiment we'll find out which one of the two playing legends can forge a legacy as a manager in FM24.

Football manager has a manager scoring feature you can use instead of randomly counting trophies.
Yet Tom doesn't care
They count Supercups he does not value.
Although I would like to see where those 2 ended. Haaland has got to be close to Guardiola and Fergunson levels.
@@hugobatista9541 but they also calculate proportionally based on team reputation. Winning the FA Cup with Wigan gives more points than it does with Man City (hell yeah roberto martinez)

The legendary matchday 39 in the prem, I’ve seen it one time in my last fm 23 save. A season in the mid 2030’s had Watford play an extra game with Bolton, and Bolton lost in regulation 3-2, being relegated and never came back to the prem by the time my save ended in 2042

You should try this with 2 player-managers. Maybe Bellingham at Birmingham and Andy Robertson at Queens Park as 18 year olds. Or Stones at Barnsley, van Dink at Groningen, Alaba at Austria Vienna could all work too. Highest PAs for managers and players and see how their careers go

Not even lying, an hour after watching this, I played fm and had a two leg Milan derby for the Serie A title (AC Milan 5 - 0 Inter Milan)

With reference to the relegation playoff between Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough, I once played a version from 98/99 season where I was Liverpool manager and finished level on everything with Chelsea, same H2H and all, and it awarded them the title. I can only assume lots were drawn or they got it alphabetically, but ill never know as it was a Spanish version of the game so i didnt really know what was going on

Relegation playoff in PL. I actually would've thought they would base it on "card points" with the club with lowest amount of yellow/red cars staying up.

i’ve seen the relegation playoff thing between Parma and Cagliari, but their goal differences weren’t even the same. I was so baffled
Serie A has different tie breaker rules. If a team in 1st, 17th or who gets the last European spot is tied on points they have a play off match to decide the winner/who survives. Irl it's been used to decide the champions once ('63-'64 bologna 2-0 inter), while European and relegation playoffs have happened a few times. In fact the most recent was just last year where Hellas Verona and Spezia faced off in a relegation playoff.
Head to head, goal difference e.t.c. are only used on positions that dont matter i.e. 2nd Vs 3rd, 10th Vs 11th or in a scenario where three teams tie (which has never happened) and its used to decide which two will play the playoff

Match day 39 actually happened to a save I had in FM24 twice in like 4 or 5 seasons between AC Milan and Inter to decide the title on both occasions. Inter won both of them.
You should do this with Kevin De Bryune and Luka Modric

Tom, firstly, thanks for the video. I didn't think that I would find it all that engaging, admittedly, as both Haaland and Mbappe have both scored against my team (I support Nottingham Forest) but I'm happy to say that I was wrong.
I was wondering if, at some point, you would consider doing a Forest video? We're desperately clinging on in the Premier league (Goal difference is the only thing atm that is keeping our heads above the relegation zone.) And I'm sure that you've heard about the points deduction as well as some dodgy (imo) ref decision in our recent game against Liverpool. I would love to see Forest at the top of the Premier league and/or Europa league, etc - even if it's fictional. ❤

Could you do a video where you try and take Swedish team djurgårdens if to European trophy. It’s not really a fallen giant since they came 4th last year and second the year before with a semi successful conference league run topping their group 2 seasons ago.
Good video as always. I have a suggestion what about rebuilding Viktoria Plzeň (Czech club) they are always losing to rivals and europe isn't good either. They are not financially strong as other teams. It's really challenge to win something with them (my experience)
It is tricky. I think the hardest save I ever tried was to win FC Vaduz the champions league in the swiss league. They're actually a Liechtenstein club, so can't qualify for the Swiss European spots with their only option being the Liechtenstein cup that only offers a conference league spot. So you need to win two back to back European trophies to even make the champions league. What makes it even harder is your reputation grows incredibly slowly as a Liechtenstein club as no matter how well you do it won't raise the standards of the swiss league you play in
How do you do this kind of sims in fm, is it a mod or something can you explain please

Have them play for the worst or one of the worst Nations in the database (edit the team to play a 3-5-1-1 or 3-5-2 Diamond) and see if they can their country the most world cups in History and even potentially go 3 in a row.
