Samnang dropping back to back to back AFCON wins is a generational managerial achievement and finishing his career after 5 consecutive AFCON finals is elite. Viva Samnang. Chans league titles in the twilight of his career were impressive too. Battling in the English lower leagues was just character development. Viva Chan.
@@bababababababa6124 The Dortmund trophy and the Koln trophy were insane, the 2 PSG ones not so much. Samnang > Chan, but Chan becomes one of the greatest Bundesliga managers of the 2000-2100 century.
I was wondering where Stockport were in the beginning seasons and they’ve only gone and got to the Premier League - hopefully this simulation is a sign of good things to come!
Samnang winning 3 AFCONs in a row is a incredible. But I just laugh thinking how the manager who spent decades toiling in the English lower leagues ends his career with trophies at PSG and Dortmund
@@mrlawnmowerdeth3298 wow I actually had no idea that had happened, let alone so recently. I knew they'd been in L2 but not the Conference/National League.
They seem like the Cambodian Mark Hughes and Steve Bruce - two managers you dread turning up at your club as they're just going to perform a 'destroy and exit' before going to the Cambodian Manager's Lunch Club to brag about the compensation money.
The most wildest thing in this video is to see Rodez in Ligue 1 (which can totally happening in the span of 34 years yes) and Troyes in Champions League (i know they had a fantastic showdown against Leeds in UEFA cup)…Oh and Marseille in Ligue2 or even further, where were they ? Sochaux back in Ligue1 is sweet to see too. Lorient in conference league would be extra wild to see.
Great job Tom, I’m a Lincoln fan and I’m sure (by happy coincidence) I heard you review the Grantham game on BBC Lincs. You did a cracking job and it’s clear to see your TH-cam skills have aided your skills. No doubt you’ll progress and good luck!
This will probably sound like a stupid question (I don’t actually play the game, I just enjoy watching your videos) but are you able to give these managers, assistant manager roles to begin with? not sure if that would make a difference with their development?
Would be interesting to try this for something like scouts. Have two perfect ones and see if the game is remotely smart enough to figure out they need to be with a top club.
The Solomon Islands! A striker from there in my Bath City save won 4 Ballon Dors at FC Barcelona... He also dragged them to the World Cup Round of 16 scoring 14 goals which was Mental!
Welling is my local club. A few seasons ago, they were looking for a new manager, and someone handed in a CV stating their Football Manager statistics. This made the local news.
Cool video and all, but.. WHAT'S ERZGEBIRGE AUE DOING 3RD OF THE BUNDESLIGA? ( 21:56 ). They are currently struggling in the third tier, WHAT AM I WITNESSING?
I keep trying to do this and my managers keep getting fired and never getting picked up by other clubs. In fact, I have better success with players turned to managers than straight up managers.
Great video etc but as an Oxford fan can we all just appreciate the couples we had after sacking him? 😂 Also, I think we were 7th when we sacked Chris Wilder. He went to Northampton and broke the point record the following year with Northampton 😂😂
I believe chan had a better career. while Samnang did well in AFCON its not the greatest tournement in the world compared to something like the euros and also he was doing it with arguably some of the easier teams while Chan won the Bundesliga with Dortmund, a complete underdog from what i know about the save

Samnang should be a politician falling upwards as often as he did. Glad Chan had his time to shine at the end.
Chan had the better career imo but Samnang was a goated international manager
Playing in five AFCON finals in a row is an insane achievement
Let’s be real… 5 AFCON finals in a row with TWO different countries > a couple of farmers trophies
@@bababababababa6124 The Dortmund trophy and the Koln trophy were insane, the 2 PSG ones not so much. Samnang > Chan, but Chan becomes one of the greatest Bundesliga managers of the 2000-2100 century.
Legend in African football
They gonna be talking about him decades after he's passed

What if just stockport receive 1 billion dollar tv deal a year, Sim will be end when stockport win Champion league 😌

Why is no one talking about Plymouth getting ucl qualification after winning europa league in season 28
I did!
Luton finishing 24th in League 2 in season 17 is insane.
Luton fans getting flashbacks to 08/09

From the national league to the prem and back to the national league🤣

21:58 Aue in the Champions League? You gotta be kidding me haha
Really wish you did this as a continuation of the 2 players. Their reputations woulda been higher to get them better jobs
would still say samnang wins this aswell, but was nice to see both finally get some sucess at the end
Just love that you used my club welling at the start hardly anyone uses them anymore after fm19

These two are the definition of failing up til they made it
8:02 if anyone noticed, Dorking get promoted to the EFL. INCREDIBLE.
21:56 Erzgebirge Aue on 3rd Place? That is something else. In reality Aue never played Bundesliga ever in their entiry history. Wild.
9:48 if anyone noticed, Luton went to the national league.. financial mismanagement???
This will probably sound like a stupid question (I don’t actually play the game, I just enjoy watching your videos) but are you able to give these managers, assistant manager roles to begin with? not sure if that would make a difference with their development?
You can give them almost any position within the organization.
14:40 nah that final fixture must have been nuts, and Plymouth going to the Champions League as a 7th place is amazing 💀
Great vid. Fun as always. Would’ve been nice to know their respective career earnings or if there was anything notable about them
Spent lots of this video wondering how my Stockport County are doing, and then you show the graph. Cheers, thank you 😁
Would be interesting to try this for something like scouts. Have two perfect ones and see if the game is remotely smart enough to figure out they need to be with a top club.
Ah, here I am FMing in Cambodia and just stumbling across this - marvellous stuff!
14:41 big up Plymouth for winning the Europa league
Love these types of vids so much Tom 🎉 And its good to see there are some imps like me online 🤣
I’m from Cambodia so this video is absolutely perfect ❤, love u Tom ❤
Super fun video mate 😊,
if I can req, please make another video "I gave 4 wonderkids for 'country name'" 😅

This was an exceptionally good video. Please do more of this manager simulations!

Samnangs a snake going from Oldham to Rochdale in the same season
That's the video that i'll watch before bedtime! Thank you, Tom!
it would be nice to see how the brothers did against each other while they were in the same leagues if they had any interesting games

Pls do a boreham wood video.
They are currently 15th in the national league and have never been promoted to the football league
The start is basically the average fc 24 console career mode experience(I say that as a console player, can't afford a gaming pc)
Crazy how even perfect managers can't win at least half of their matches and get sacked more than 10 times
In Season 32, we said it was coming home, and we were correct! It has come home! It has come home! It has come! Football has come home!
great vid tom! the content keeps getting better and better
I live literally right next to Welling United and I play for their youth team!
I hope you make it to their senior team and further, good luck in your football career!
14:45 HOLY PLYMOUTH GOT INTO THE UCL
I keep trying to do this and my managers keep getting fired and never getting picked up by other clubs. In fact, I have better success with players turned to managers than straight up managers.

Can we just appreciate Stockport surviving 17:01
Look at this premier league table 14:45
I didn’t care about the twin in Season 28 for Brentford, I’m focused on that glorious UCL for Argyle!!!
I love how Plymouth is great in this save
chans early career luck is non existant, he must have been beefin with fm developers
More titles for Chan, bit more legacy for Samnang. What was the CA and PA when you created them ?
2:32 ah yes I am wondering how u got that shirt after u JUST SAID they both got sacked(edit spelling error)
He came from Cambodia with the shirt and gave it to Tom.
@ ahhh thx
Honestly not sure how i feel about a manager getting my club Oldham relegated, to then get a job at our closest rivals the season after...
Kings Lynn knew what they were doing, next time we see them after the sacking they are surviving relegation in league 1!!
You should have the Scottish League available too for these type of videos would be interesting
3:46 Man, Rochdale are rivals to Oldham. The audacity from my guy 💀
Let's go finally see my country In The goat himself TomFM Video♥️
I think Samnang became a politician for Ghana after retirement
Samnag was a 1 man wrecking ball for English clubs 😂
Plymouth got a chance to play Champions League. I've seen it all.
SUDAN MY CONTRYYYYY hahaha we reached round ofb16 in season 29 ❤😂
SUDAN DID IT AGAIN but at season 38 😂😂
Just out of curiosity can you check up the Hall of Fame and see how many points they had?
9:51
Luton back in National League
Is it only me who saw Plymouth Argyle playing in premier league , finish 6th place in Season 27.
14:40 Plymouth Argyle in the Champions League
Finally Chester got mentioned in a video UTFS
Go ‘ed Samnang, getting Tranmere promoted haha.
Finally my country is represented in an FM video😂
International football might have been better for most. Losing the lockerroom that many times should have been a major hint...
What did you make the CA and PA of these managers, would like to try it myself??
Does Yorkshire have a rich Cambodian community? Seemingly every club in the county wants to employ these guys!
Samnang kept failing upwards I respect it
How on earth can King's Lynn be playing in the National League NORTH?!
Welling were the local non league team where I grew up.

Plymouth in the UCL too 😮

8:55 Luton relegated from League 1😮
Spoiler alert: they end up in the National League
I lose my shit whenever the "victory theme" starts playing.
This is wierd, I was in Svay Rieng a week ago. Didn't get to attend a match tho.
