I created my own tactic and I dont know how but it works fine... Bitgeat result was my San Marino League Team defeating PSG in a CL League-Phase Match wich was great... Gogo 4-1-1-3-1 wingplay
A small list of the most important things - Good or better Cohesion [dont overhaul your squad every season], a mix of experienced and young players in your squad, play a formation and tactic that suits the players you have, dont make promises if you cant 100% keep them, check your finances regularly to make sure you are in a healthy state, make your squads playing time expectations balanced out [dont have 5 star players or 15 regular starters etc]. AND have fun 😊
In my experience a complete overhaul after promotion where you force every influential player out (MUST) and do a tactically heavy preseason gets the team playing really well at the start with no hiccups
GTFOH, Every player who wants an increased wage or acts like a b**** gets booted out of the club. If I cant make a profit, u-21 he goes. My team, my rules.
Thank you for a great video! I do a lot of this, but i think its good to watch these and make sure other people who are better than you are doing the same things. I think on every save i end up neglecting some part of the game so this was a great refresh
I know it was only a 'PS' on the end but Morale and Cohesion are super key now. These are just as important as tactics on this version of the game. You'll be having a good run, and then as soon as one player gets a bit unhappy that tanks cohesion faster than you expect. Be really careful about handling players!
I'm a veteran player and it pains me to say that you just taught me something i really should have known, and that is that you can adjust the level of interest a player has to join you... The gear is right there, why have i never clicked it, or even noticed it?
Oh! Played manager games for the better part of the last 25 years (Started -99) And FM a LOT latest years. Never seen or used the squad planner report.. Didnt even know it existed ^^ What a handy tool to make it easier to overview!
For me I can’t start at a big club. I see all the players and staff that I haven’t chosen and it used to overwhelm me. I always recommend to my friends who start that sometimes it’s better to do a lower league or small country save.
i always say FM is the best scouting tool for real world managers. Fm anticipates future talent and future country evolution freakishly accurate. Denmark is going places. In FM, danish academies and facilities are so well rated that I wasn't surprised at all when i saw Copenhagen qualify. A month prior i was having this conversation with a friend and i was like... "you'll see, denmark teams will be strong in the next years", just to have it validated now. As for the game, in my current save i manage FC Midtjylland (im not danish, i just like to play in countries that actually invest in facilities) , its 2028, i have won the Champions League (2027, freakishly lucky, wasnt really planning to) and this season FC Kopenhagen just kicked out Lazio out of Europa League quarter final. Maybe its optimistic from a game perspective, but the reality is danish football is going up and personally i think in the next couple of years it will be even better. If FM says it will be, i just believe it. Now if only Real Madrid would stop unsettling my danish wonderkids that would be nice.
@darkwillow1451 absolutely, I'm doing a save in Denmark with lyseng, starting in the 4th tier. And I'm currently in 2037 and Denmark has climbed to 8th on the uefa coefficient ranking
The happiness thing at the end is incredibly important. You can have the best players but if you refuse them new contracts, try to sell people who want to stay, and don't fulfill promesses, you will underperform every time
I feel like FM is very easy to win once you've got the basics right. The most underrated thing that @Zealand just left is training. I remember when I first started FM, playing FM20(Chile Deportes Mellipila). I was capable of signing the players or the younger players through the academy but couldn't develop them as high as they could possibly. This went on until I was almost 7 or 8 seasons in when I actually sat down to find what I was doing wrong. Let's just say since then I have played FM21, now still playing 23 but I enjoy the challenge of developing stars and winning at the same time. I absolutely murder it always. I also found a neck for developing monsters at CAM
I have found it relatively easy this year, my yearly longterm save is with my beloved Blackburn Rovers I had 2 seasons attempting promotion before winning the championship. In my first season in the prem with practically 0 budget in comparison to the rest of the league . I finished 3rd , it took me 2-3 seasons to dethrone arsenal and City and have barely lost a game since.
Started with Irn Bru Rangers in Hong Kong, the lowest ranked league in the game - that league too has oodles of trophies just itching to be won, making a nice shiny CV for future endeavours.
I just finished 7th in Championship but my wage bill is 4m while next lowest is 8m and most around 20-30m. Trying to progress is hard. Think I will have to sell my overvalued players so I can get more wage.
Nice one dude! Yes it's certainly harder to get out if you're not able to financially compete! And ofc tilting your budget in favour of your wage bill may enable you to get more/better loans! Whilst these vids are great it's also important to remember it's not a race! As long as you're enjoying it and are telling the story you want to :)
That wage budget will keep getting bigger though the more you stay in the division...it'll then be easy to compete and be more effective than your league peers to get out the league
I actually won the quintuple in 2023 just before 2024 came out. I don’t know if this is usual but just like when you get promoted, your formerly 5 star players drop to 3.5-4.0 because of the general skill increase in the league, but why after winning everything? Surely this dictates you ARE the elite. My facilities dropped in standard, players dropped in skill and prices dropped from £170m to £89m! I mean nothing changed! May be a while doing it again in FM2024, as certain tactics no longer work, like high pressing 😢
If I have a reserve/u18 team I send all the trials down there. Doesn't impact 1st team training (afaik) and let's face it, at low levels there is little use for youth teams
hey z, i wanted to know what training intensity my wonderkids should be training on. i find when i put them on double intensity they get bad injuries. but i also want them to develop as much as possible as soon as possible.
I'd love to know what 'mods/adaptations/facepacks/league fixes etc' you always run. (Sorry, my brain is malfunctioning at the moment so my sentences are quite scuffed right now) Anyways, i stopped playing during FM 2021 (with almost 10k hours across previous fm's), just bought fm24 and I have no clue which things to download anymore.
Hey i am from south Africa thanks for making an example with a team I hate Orlando Piretes, since I am a kaizer chiefs fan I will continue to watch your video to figure out how to beat the team😂😅
Something I find difficult amd maybe some comments have ideas, but when joining a team and doing a trial farm, I never really know how much to pay. Of course it's dependent on your budget and all that, I think I have a hard time budgeting my team. Like what do u pay as a percentage of your budget to say a league average defender, compared to an above average wing compared to a star
Decide how many players you want in your senior squad. (I have 24.) Take your wage budget, and divide it by that number. Let's say that gives you 1,000 p/w just for math's sake. So, you can afford to pay around 1,000 p/w for every player on your squad. But, that's not realistic, because you don't want to pay your bottom 12 the same as your top 12. So, increase the top 12, say by 25% and drop your bottom 12 by the same amount. Now you can pay your starters 1,250 p/w and your second stringers 750 p/w. And of course, from there you can start to break it down further. Maybe for your starters you decide you can afford two stars at 2,000 p/w and two important players at 1,500 per week. That means most of the rest of your starters will need to be around 900-1,000 p/w. That should give you a good sense of what you can afford (assuming the board allows it). Remember to pay attention to the figure in the lower left when signing a player, because that shows the amount he will count against your wage budget . It's not just the wages p/w. Remember that there will be some players who just want ridiculous money. Train yourself to just let them go, or you'll get yourself into trouble. Also, demands may come down over time, like on deadline day, or if they have been a FA for a long time.
I cant Help myself but my favorite place to manage is the San Marino League and I dont know why... But I know its time for Zea Marino to Help the Guys from Monte Titano to Archive stuff
My scouts have no knowledge on any players interested in coming to my team on loan. How do I Scout without buying a scouting package? Should I buy a package, and then refund it the same day so I won't have to pay for it?
Z has given advice just like this in sys. His recommendation is to simply sign wonderkids and slowly get better than Bayern. In leagues like France, Germany and Spain there are huge jumps to reach the top so it takes long
@savaugee7322 I reloaded my FM21 save and have been playing that. I came 3rd, 4th, 3rd and then 4th. Bayern seem to be struggling for champions league places, so they aren't the biggest challenge!
Does anybody know if winter transfers apply to the "real world" career in FM? Like if I play as Dortmund will I automatically get Sancho and Maatsen on loan in january?
You know it's bad when you have to take a second division Bulgarian team and only allow yourself to buy Bulgarians to keep the game challenging. FM has been incredibily easy this year and I hate it.
Heelp idk why but everytime i played a new save with zero edited database(vanilla without any mod) they keep spawning regen of real player. Now i have 2 odegaard oshimen etc. How do i stop this?
I won 2 already.. would have been a sextuple had I beaten mancity in the World club cup final !!! that is the only trophy.. Won it with Milan after failing to win UCL with young boys for 3 seasons!
Step 1. Tinker with your tactics until you stumble upon the latest ME meta. Step 2. Focus almost exclusively on physical attributes while recruting new players. Step 3. Play a few seasons. Done.
If I’ve understood it correctly unattached players are always free agents while expired the player sometimes is still playing for a club without a contract.
I won the champions league with My Team from the 6th tier in England in 13 seasons... in my first EVER save in FM. And also I didnt get promoted to 5th league until the 3rd season due to being new to the game. No editor, not exploiting, no bullshitery. You neednt have 10k hours or spend a lifetime making videos, it can be done even as a complete beginner (or rather with the experience I gained throughout the seasons in the club)
The game is way to easy now ? People just win everything and this is no reflection on Zealand but the forums are full of people winning everything . Dont use Genpress , Turn attributes off and download Daveincids upgrades and use your scouts and staff to find and sign players . Would love to see Zealand try the harder way to play .
It looks like FM is really easy or biased towards the player this year. I'm playing Guijuelo (Spanish 4th div) and in my first year at 1st division my total salary is 6M€ while the next worst team is 15M and Real Madrid has 252M. @rbkeyz2328ligue 2 is horribly easily for whatever reason, im with Bordeaux and winning by about 12 points halfway through the season (they currently sit in 13th irl)
FM is incredibly easy.. it’s a shame because it would be more fun if you could increase the difficulty. Every league every team I win with, sometimes takes a season or two but ultimately the same result.
On FM 23 on my celtic career I done a double sixtuple so CL SPL SC league cup ESC and FWCC with it all being unbeaten from the start of that season to the last time I played it before fm24 came out this was on Xbox and you could basically glitch that game with certain style and formation with certain types of players
Zealand I don’t watch you cos you’re good at fm. You defo are very good but just cos someone’s good I wouldn’t watch. I watch you and your streams cos you’re good sure but mainly cos you’re really entertaining. If you weren’t funny and entertaining I wouldn’t watch
