    Thanks so much for watching this video! 😊 Please keep in mind that there is never a guarantee that an induction works (not even a medical one). But you can increase your chances of success by supporting your body and cervix prepare for labor. We show you how in this video: th-cam.com/video/MOLF-vt0wM8/w-d-xo.html.

    I’m 36+1 and just had a scan and baby is 3.7kg apparently and I have gestational diabetes. Just saw my dr and they are telling me I need to get induced next week Saturday which I really really don’t want! I’m going to start naturally inducing and praying so much that baby comes. Please keep me in your prayers that my baby comes out naturally with no induction! 😭

    When inducing with castor oil do you want to take it on an empty stomach? or is it more effective when you’ve eaten first?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there 😊,
      it's difficult to say because we know women who successfully induced labor after taking it on empty stomach, and others who had eaten first... We are inclined to say that it most likely works better on an empty stomach. But that's just a personal opinion based on observations.
      Therefore, we recommend asking your doctor the same question. Maybe they have good arguments, why one method works better than the other?

    Hi!! I have been watching lots of your videos and found them very informative. I have a concern that I don’t know where to address so I thought I’d comment here…
    I live in a rural city in Japan and my gyno has booked me in for a pelvimetry X-ray which I thought at the time must be standard procedure here…but as I asked around, no one has gotten this. My doctors reasoning was that ‘it’s my first time giving birth’ but as I research, it’s usually only recommended if the baby is measuring big, if I’m petit, or if I’ve had trauma to the pelvic area in the past (all of which I don’t have). Do you think it’s necessary I go through with this just because I’m a first time mum? I feel very unsure about having the X-ray beam directed at my pelvis if it’s not necessary…

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes

      Hi there 😊,
      first of all, thanks a lot for your feedback! We are very happy to hear that you find our videos helpful! 😘
      Regarding your question:
      We have never heard that a pelvimetry X-ray has to be done because "it's a woman's first pregnancy". Normally, they only do that when the baby is measuring big and when the mother is very small - just as you wrote yourself. And even in those cases, they hardly ever do it...
      If your doctor recommends an X-ray, they have to come up with a much better explanation than "you are a first time mom". If they don't, get a second opinion. In fact, getting a second opinion is what we recommend you doing!
      We hope this helps! 😊

    In Italy castor oil is not recommended at all. Aren't there negative aspects?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi there 😊,
      Italy!! How nice!! We just spent a whole week in Puglia. The area down there is incredibly nice (and so are the people)... 😊
      We are not aware of any adverse affects of Castor oil, neither on the mother, nor the baby. The only thing which CAN happen are nasty side effects like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea (although diarrhea is somewhat wanted because it is that effect on your intestines which could lead to a spill-over effect on the uterus).
      In about 7% of all cases, the side effects will be severe (i.e. extreme nausea and vomiting).
      There are also lots of rumors about Castor oil killing babies. For example: it is claimed that Castor oil causes a baby to poop in the womb which would then kill a baby. However, we have no idea how that is supposed to happen because if it did, the same would happen in case of spicy food, for instance.
      So, again, we are not aware of any scientific studies which found a link between Castor oil and stillbirth.
      Still, we DO recommend talking with your doctor before taking castor oil. Some don't recommend it as a means of induction in case of VBAC, for instance...
      We hope this helps! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

My doc says my cervix is still kind of thick but I’m like 2cm. I’ve tried exercises, walking, the ball, the oils, different foods, just about everything in your videos and still nothing. Is my body not ready, or am I doing something wrong or what? I can barely walk cuz of the heavy pressure below and pain, what can I do? Just wait?

      @CareAboutLittleOnes  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi there Martina 😊,
      you most probably experience these symptoms because your baby has dropped. That's great and shows you that your body is preparing for labor. However, it does not mean that labor is about to start anytime soon.
      For many women, week 38 may still be too early for labor to start. However, there is normally really no reason to worry, particularly not, if this is not your first pregnancy.
      The best thing to do right now is try to relax. Don't worry too much about your labor. Clearly, your body is preparing for it. Trust that your body knows what it is doing!

      Hi there 😊,
      first of all, thanks A LOT for your feedback! We are happy that you like our content! 😘
      Regarding your question:
      You may not be in true labor right now, however, it's likely to be pre-labor. So, the only thing you have to do right now is watch your contractions!
      Right now, they may be quite irregular. However, at some point, they are gonna come in closer and closer intervals. They are gonna get longer and stronger.
      And then once they come in intervals of 5 minutes, last for one minute, it's normally save to assume that you are in labor (given that you have experienced these contractions for at least one hour). So, don't hesitate to call your doctor once you experience such contractions.
      Things that can help you speed up the process are nipple stimulation, reflexology, birth ball exercises and acupressure. We show you how it's done in this video: th-cam.com/video/8rehbupwhzY/w-d-xo.html
      That said, please keep in mind that the question how fast you are going to progress very much depends on factors like baby's position in your womb. For example: when pre-labor takes a long time, it's often because baby is not in a good position for labor.
      We hope this helps! 😊

      Hi there 😘,
      we are sorry to hear that you are being induced...
      Unfortunately, there can always be factors that prevent a woman from going into labor.
      For example: recently we met a woman who had all those signs of labor, but she just did not go into labor. Nothing worked.
      And then we treated her for stress and anxiety (with acupuncture and reflexology). She went into labor only hours later.... 😊
      So, unfortunately, there can always be factors that have an impact on the body's production of labor hormones. But it is very difficult to find out what those factors are in individual cases...
      In any case, please always keep in mind that the most important thing is that, eventually, a healthy mother holds a healthy baby in her arms. This is what we wish for you!

      Hi there 😊,
      so far, there is no scientific evidence that depilation with wax interferes with breastfeeding in any way.
      When it comes to breastfeeding and depilation, the only concern is with photoepilation (i.e. hair removal with a laser or pulsed light). But wax seems to be fine 😊

    Hie, thanks a lot for uploading such informative videos. I'm 39 weeks + 4 days and 1 cm dilated. I lost my mucus plug a day back as well. However, my AFI is 4 and my doctor has given me 2 days before she medically induces me. I have tried all your labour induction methods (excluding sex because I'm 1 cm dilated) but none of them seem to work. I had 3 false contractions, that's it. Also, baby's head is not engaged yet because baby is at a slightly different angle than the pelvis. Could you please help me out? I just have a day left to naturally induce.

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi there 😊,
      we are not gonna lie to you: it is really very difficult to induce labor if you are under time pressure. Stress and labor induction are two things which "don't like each other".
      That said - in our experience - the one thing that tends to work even in such situations is Castor oil. However, it is important to note that Castor oil won't work for every woman. Moreover, it does require the approval of your doctor.
      So, if your doctor approves the intake of Castor oil, it is something that COULD help you induce labor fast, particularly, if you combine it with other tools, such as nipple stimulation. But again, inducing labor naturally under time pressure is a very very difficult task...
      Still, we hope this information helps you... 😊

      I had a sweep. The doctor just looked like you. I think I had too many drugs which shut me down completely. It didn't help that the baby was the wrong way around and got stuck in the pelvis. They didn't tell me I had multiple birth when I had a scan. I asked for birthing classes but they were all full. They wouldn't let me sit on a ball and made me lay down. I just wanted to sit and use gravity but they had a monitor on the baby's head. I struggled to dilate so natural reflexology would have helped enormously.

    I wonder how much of an impact sunny side up baby has on delaying labor. My 1st was a csection due to being tranverse breech but my other 3 I had vbacs. The last two babies were so easy and came around 38 weeks. One of which was my smallest and easiest. This last girl, is on the larger side like her other siblings and she seems to be favoring my right hip. Miles circuit hasn't improved that unfortunately and at 39 weeks I'm being pressured to deliver by 40 on the dot. I've had prodromal labor twice this week. So frustrating when you've had previous births that were so easy so naturally you assume baby 5 will be too.

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there 😘,
      in our experience, sunny side up CAN delay labor. What we observe is that such women often go through a prolonged phase of pre and/or early labor. Unfortunately, prodromal labor is also something that we observe in such cases.
      On the other hand, IF this means that the baby is trying to find a better position for labor, then it could also be positive. That's because it's always better for the baby to turn anterior before labor starts... That way, labor itself (normally) goes faster....
      But of course, that is so easy to say when you suffer from prodromal labor. It is the meanest thing we can think of! ☹️
      In any case, we wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

      @@s.c.2424You are most welcome! 🥰
      Given the fact that they put so much pressure on you (in terms of setting a deadline etc.), the best thing for you would be to hire a very experienced doula who will work with you turning your baby.
      The problem with exercises is that they apply to the general public. They CAN work well - but only with time.
      But if time is an issue, you need to have someone tell you exactly which exercises to do - based on your case (there are many options depending on the EXACT posterior position of your baby in your womb).
      Is hiring a doula an option where you are based?

      @CareAboutLittleOnes while my response is late I just felt I should respond just in case another mom to be reads my comment as I have read possibly hundreds. Lol. Thank you for the suggestion and honestly I got one last minute but I'm thankful I did. She was able to help me stall my OBGYN by 5 days. They wanted to induce on the 40th week and I went into labor on that exact day so I couldn't be happier. The best news though was baby actually turned herself during labor. So while it was a difficult pregnancy the labor itself went better than I had hoped for and no intervention was needed.
      Lastly, I just wanted to say thanks once again. This was baby 5 and it was this page alone that truly answered all my questions and helped me more so than any other channel. You guys are truly the best. Thank you!!

      Hi there 😊,
      please understand that we are in no position to tell you, if and when you should try Castor oil or not. This is really something only your doctor can do. Because only they are familiar with your pregnancy case.
      We can only tell you IN GENERAL that we normally don't recommend women at the practice to take Castor oil before week 39. In fact normally, they would only take Castor oil AFTER their due date (IF required at all) unless there are medical reasons why that baby has to get out of there faster than planned.
      Are there medical reasons why your doctor wants that baby out of there faster? We are asking because we don't really understand why your doctor is stressed out about the fact that you don't have any contractions in week 38? It's still early days! Normally, contractions come later!
      We hope this helps! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

    Hello there!
    I'm watching your video when i was 30w with breech baby position but followed your videos and got 100% results and baby changed position only in 2 days ❤ love for you...
    Other question: ❓
    Now I'm 37w+2d with my first one, my doc said I'm 1cm dilated and it's 99% normal delivery, but still I don't feel any sign of labor not even false contractions or any other sign. I eat 5-6 dates daily, 45 minutes walk, even with my swollen feet... Wanna ask if my body preparing for labor or not? How long it gonna take? Should i start taking castor oil? And yeah most imp question should I've intercourse with 1cm dilated uterus or avoid? Please let me know sooner

      Hi there 😊 ,
      thanks a lot for your feedback!! We are very happy to hear that your baby has turned with our approach!
      Regarding your questions: please note that week 37 is WAY too early to be worried about not feeling/seeing any signs of labor. If you are 1cm dilated, you can clearly see that your body is preparing for labor. So, don't worry too much about it!
      However, no one can tell you how long it's gonna take! But we certainly would not take Castor oil at this point!
      Try to relax a little! You are doing a great job preparing for labor. Let your body do its job too!
      P.S.: Yes, you can have sex when you are dilated unless your doctor advises against it - for whatever reason...
      We hope this helps! 😊

    Not in any case you will be able to induce labour by swallowing castor oil, for you will have to distinguish:
    - In the case that your liver will be without any toxins your gall will be without any toxins too. So, moving the bowels by taking a good dose castor oil will be experienced always as harmless and short lasting, for the PGE2-synthesis will not happen and so you will not be able to induce labor.
    - In the other case that after having swallowed a good dose castor oil a lot of toxins will be liberated in the liver and excreted with the gall in the duodenum the PGE2-synthesis will occur with cramps of the bowels and the womb, and this one may be experienced as harmful and long lasting and so you will be able to induce labor.

      @@CareAboutLittleOnes The details of the bio-chemical reactions of castor oil in the human body are really complicated. So I shall give you only one advice: In contrast to all the other laxatives available over the counter (OTC) working directly in the human body by irritating the bowels castor oil will work indirectly by activating (1. step) or synthesizing (2. step) certain substances in the human body. So any habituation of the human body to castor oil and weakening of the laxative effects are absolutely impossible, this even after having taken castor oil regularly for decades.

      please note that at this point, there is absolutely no reason for you to be worried. Right now, you are only 37 weeks pregnant. Your body needs time to prepare. So, please trust that your body knows what it is doing!
      Try to relax and, most importantly, stop worrying because worries can interfere with labor hormones. And that's not necessary given the fact that you are already 2cm dilated at 37 weeks (some women are 41 weeks pregnant and are 0 dilated)...

      Hi there 😊,
      Castor oil may not work for you. But that does not mean that it does not work for other women either.
      Same applies to membrane sweeps: just because they don't work for you does not mean they won't work for other women.
      Unfortunately, every pregnancy is different. And right now, your body tells you that it's too early for you to go into labor...
      Rest assured: those little ones all come out eventually. 😁

      @CareAboutLittleOnes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there 😊,
      we strongly advice against any attempt to induce labor or to prepare your cervix for labor at this point of your pregnancy.
      Week 34 is just too early. There are many things that have not yet fully developed. Most importantly, your baby's lungs. But also things like the suction reflex etc.
      Therefore, in general, we would not attempt to induce labor before week 39. Of course, sometimes, there are medical reasons that a baby has to get out of there earlier. However, this is something that only our doctor can tell you...
      So in brief: please give your baby a bit more time! It's best for the baby, and also for you (because caring for a premature baby is very tough)....
      We hope this helps! 😊
