Feels strange to say but Edgeworth's original Objection feels more iconic to me than Phoenix's. It just has the perfect amount of oomph and it really scratches the brain in the most satisfying way. Which hurts all the more that the new Objection lacks ALL of that.
If you ever decide to remake this to add in Shields and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles after it comes out, my one suggestion would be to add credits to the voice actor for each clip. This info is always scattered everywhere and the VAs behind the clips (especially for 1-4, plus the fan project for AA:I2) need more recognition imo.

I can't get over how dumb a decision it was to remove the old voice lines in the DS -> 3DS transition. The voice clips for Phoenix and Apollo in DD and SoJ are so weak that it doesn't even feel good to object anymore. In AA4, finding someone's nervous habit and hearing Apollo's GOOOOOOTCHAH was insanely cathartic but in AA5/AA6 it's just whatever.
And AJ, I can’t stand Apollo’s new voice. I loved how unique the original was. Also I don’t dislike Phoenix’s new voice. I do hate Klavier, Edgeworth and Apollo’s voices in DD onward however.
I really wish they kept the original voice actors for Apollo Justice (the game) when porting over to the new trilogy instead of replacing them for the new ones.
Like I know why if was done, it would sound really off putting to have two different voice actors when you’ve just finished Apollo Justice and are now starting up one of the other games.

They seriously butchered Apollo too in my opinion.. AA4 had just so much passion and I think really put his "Chords of steel" on show, unlike AA5&6. He just sounds so... Bland... As do most of the voice lines for the newer versions...

I think Apollo getting new voice in DD and is kind of pointless. I mean it takes place in same year... Capcom could've used the same voice as in AA4 and it would sound fitting.
None of the voice changes were for an in-universe reason, they did it because they needed to record new voices for the anime cutscenes, and didn't want them to be inconsistent with the in-game clips. It's unfortunate but understandable, even AA4 was 6 years old at that point. I'm honestly fine with Phoenix's new voice, but I definitely feel like a few of them could have been better. There's nothing wrong with Apollo's new voice on it's own, but his old voice is literally perfect for the kind of character he is, young, loud, brash, confident, and in your face. His original "GOTCHA!" Is one of the most satisfying things in the series, It just doesn't sound like he's putting everything he has into his call-outs in the DD and SoJ. Edgeworth really got it the worst though. His original voice is almost as if not just as iconic as Phoenix's, but where Phoenix is new voice still resembles his old one, Edgeworth sounds completely different. It's way deeper than it's supposed to be.
Klavier used Objection literally only once in Dual Destinies and they got him a brand new voice clip. Franziska uses Hold it dozens of times in the series and she never got a voice clip for this.

It's unfortunate but understandable, even AA4 was 6 years old at that point. I'm honestly fine with Phoenix's new voice, but I definitely feel like a few of them could have been better.
There's nothing wrong with Apollo's new voice on it's own, but his old voice is literally perfect for the kind of character he is, young, loud, brash, confident, and in your face. His original "GOTCHA!" Is one of the most satisfying things in the series, It just doesn't sound like he's putting everything he has into his call-outs in the DD and SoJ.
Edgeworth really got it the worst though. His original voice is almost as if not just as iconic as Phoenix's, but where Phoenix is new voice still resembles his old one, Edgeworth sounds completely different. It's way deeper than it's supposed to be.

I really like Athena’s Japanese voice. (Mainly because she played a magical girl in a magical girl franchise I like).
Klavier used Objection literally only once in Dual Destinies and they got him a brand new voice clip.
Franziska uses Hold it dozens of times in the series and she never got a voice clip for this.
