    That's some beautiful industrial design under the cover. I'm not interested in multi colour printing but hats off to mosaic.
    And off course a great instructional video by Chris

    I just bought a Palette 2s. This seems to be the only useful video I found on TH-cam. All other videos seems more to be for advertisement only, with every important steps/information cut out.

    Great video. I recently bought a palette 2 but haven’t had time to play with it. I hope to set it up this weekend so your videos on palette 2 are just in time to make my setup easier. Thanks for all your help.

    Great video, very informative and cleared up some lingering questions I had, so just put an ordering in for a Palette 2. Mosaic should reach out and sponsor more Palette videos!

    Nice video, Chris. I'm finally setting mine up for connected mode. Been using in accessory up until now. Overall it's been great, still a bit quirky every now and then. Firmware seems to be getting better over time.

    Chris great video. What's your honest opinion between the palette 2 and mmu2s? I am very curious as I have the mmu2s and have been experimenting quite a bit. I have not printed any multi material models yet, but have been using it successfully to switch colors between prints without having to constantly handle my spools. Maybe you could do a comparison video?

    • @ChrisRiley

      Now that I have more experience with the Palette I plan on doing a comparison soon.

    Will be curious to hear your take on how the Palette compares to Prusa's MMU2s. I'm on the fence between just buying a Prusa printer & MMU2s vs getting the Palette.

    • @ChrisRiley

    • @frankvonthienen3862

    Chris what are your feelings of the Palette 2 versus the MMU2S? I know you have a lot of experience.

    • @ChrisRiley
      @ChrisRiley  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like them both and they have both gotten a lot better recently. Palette 2 now has an upgrade out for it. I will be more apt to compare the two after this upgrade. If I had to pick one right now, I would go MMU2.

    Chris, can you please point out, where to stop feeding the filament.
    Let's assume, I feed the nozzle with transparent till it will extrude transparent only.
    When starting the calibration now (orange filament), I am supposed to stop where?
    1. when any filament comes out of the nozzle, in this case transparent, because a rest was in the nozzle and is pressed out by orange
    2. when any orange filament comes out, so the complete transparent rest was pressed out and orange just showed up
    Thanks
    Frank

    • @ChrisRiley
      @ChrisRiley  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Frank, so basically you want to know when the filament has reached the nozzle, so you want to stop as soon as you see any color at all come out.

    The canvas plug-in no longer works with octoprint. I have installed it multiple times and it acts like it’s not installed when It reboots. I contacted Mosaic and am waiting for a response. Is yours still working?

    • @ChrisRiley
      @ChrisRiley  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't used mine in years, it would always break my filament, so I gave up on it. I hope they get back to you quickly.

      @@ChrisRiley Thanks for the response. They did get back to me. They said you don’t need the canvas plug in, just drop the file from their slicer into Octoprint. Sure enough it worked! Literally just finished the test keychain while typing this. Sorry to hear that about yours, but if you ever decide to give it a try again and the plug in stops working, now you know what you can do.
