Sincere question, why not replace the 'h' in Bauhause with your new logo? To cheese and cringe?
I didn't try it! However, it would probably not be as legible. Saying that, I spelt it wrong haha. @@tg2104

I think the 2nd 'R' is more forgiving though!
For me it reads like 'Retzo Prints'. Even if I try hard, my brain won't process the first 'R' and it'll automatically turn it into 'Z'...
The more I stare at it it could also read like RetLo Prints... I just can't see it as an actual 'R' lol
I feel like the original Bauhaus felt much cozier and it looks like a B flipped sideways. The Retro Prints was awesome though! Keep it up!👍

Personally I liked the original logo more than yours in the 1st one. & For the second one i guess it looks like 'Retzo' rather than 'Retro' so I don't think that's a good thing as a brand identity
Yeah, Unfortunately I am feeling now like unwanted hater, but I've read it too as "RetZo"... didn't like the Bauhaus redesign neither 😥
It is always interesting to watch your process. I will only revisit that R in your Retro logo given that I can't stop reading it as a Z not a cursive R. Just a thought! Thank you
Thought the exact same thing, but within the context of a funky squidgy logotype it works imo...
Only issue i have with the retro print is the lower case r. Even though i know what it says I kept reading the second r in retro as a z. For some reason didnt have an issue with it in Print

As you pointed out, i reckon the bauhaus icon is a bit on the generic side, the vertical B looked nice in my opinion. Retro prints was a massive upgrade, solid redirection. R looks like Z but you know that already haha

Sometimes when I think of retro, I think of halftones and lots of textures, although that might be more on the pop side but I guess outlining the typeface works too! 🍏
Halftone would be great to add onto the design in the mockups stage! I need to make a new video taking everyone's suggestions :)

Really liked the Bauhaus redesign (though sure I've seen a similar shape design as just an 'h'), also thinking to myself, why is there an 'e' added on the end? Retro Prints, wasn't feeling the initial redesign, looked too thin, the squidgy version was better but didn't appreciate it until the thick offset was added, looks great on the t-shirt mockup too. Apple!

I actually like the original Bauhaus (with the correct spelling!) better than your imagining. Nice work on Retro, but I agree with others that the lowercase script r’s look like z’s and distract from the rest of the design.
I wish you would've checked out the actual, current BAUHAUS logo and tried to go from there. That would've been interesting, cause that is very out of date, but I really like it for some reason.
They would never hinge it on the „H“, because their biggest competitors are „Hornbach“ and „Hagebaumarkt“

Why didn't you round the corners more of the bauhause design?
Hey! I wanted the design to be clean - rounding corners can make the design look a little too much :)
Personally I like the original logo for the first study. Feels more sophisticated and corporate, almost like a lawyers firm.
Bauhaus is spelled wrong
And the retro logo looks like "retzo" to me

@@metalbonsai I learned cursive in school. The "r" still looks like a "z", but doesn't in cursive. So I don't think that is the issue

Thank you for the video. I'm here to request a video about how to practice graphic design as a begginner who's trying to improve but don't know where to start and what to do. When I search it for art I find like yearly plans that explains what to learn before and after what and what I need for certain jobs and occupations but I couldn't find anything close to it for design and I'm kinda lost. It'll be a life saver for me if you could make such a video. Thank you again 🤍🤍

I really don't like the the title of the video in reference of (Bad to Good). Judging how appealing a logo is, should be in the eye of the viewer. Saying the original logo is bad is off-putting and doesn't seem professional. As a creator you should know how much influence you have and understand that what you say affects people. You should let the viewer decide whether the transformation was good or bad. Do better.
I feel like the Bauhaus logo you designed was a total miss. Bauhaus is one single word. You can't just split the name of a company in two because it suits your idea for the design. That's basically ignoring corporate identity of the brand. The original design made much more sense all things considered. The mockup looked dope though.
With the Retro Prints design I REALLY like thy style but there's only one issue. I kept reading the lower cap "r" as a "z".
