I was making my bed up with fresh linens tonight and the thought of you and your saying "Romance your life" came to mind. Maybe because I am older now, kids are gone, hubby does his own thing, I am slowly doing just that. Painted my spare bedroom pink and cream. Moved a bed in there and put in beautifully pressed white sheets. First time in forever I have good quality white sheets and linens.Found these beautiful floral drapes. I am now on the hunt for a 4 poster bedframe. No hurry though. I have been noticing different things I have bought in my thrifting, that fit well in this room but no where else. Not intentionally either. Just picked it up and I liked it. Funny how rooms come to be. It's like it tells you subtly what it needs, If that makes sense. My husband keeps asking me what is gotten into me with all this "girly" decor. I told him tonight, I am romancing my life. He just shook his head... So thanks Brooke for teaching this old gal how to bring romance into my life and about taking extra gentle care of my femininity. I am having a ball doing it.😊 Just wanted you to know. Oh, one more thing, your gardens are gorgeous.
I absolutely love that. I’m actually doing a small video on that for July sometime I’m just gonna piece it together over the next week or so just little things how to make your life pretty princess I think it’s so important to make yourself feel pretty and special because we are, we deserve it🍃🐇🌺🌸🩷 and the thing is he should asked you how can I romanticize your life but I’m happy that you’re doing it on your own. See this is the problem. People get too comfortable with us beautiful women and forget that we sometimes need a little bit of extra special, pretty princess things just saying 🍃🌸🩷❤️🌺

Brooke your gardens are doing great. Love your new Columbine. You will probably get some babies from it. I let mine go to seed before I trim the dead flowers later on. You are lucky your wisteria is going to bloom. I’ve talked to some people that said it takes years for them to bloom. Yours loves its location. The blooms are so beautiful on wisteria. I don’t have ant but a neighbor does so I get to enjoy it. The Asian pancake sounds wonderful. Enjoy your day. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️

8:30 am here in Alberta. I just finished watering all my plants and just sat down with my coffee to enjoy your video. Your garden looks great. I believe the blue flower is a bachelor button, although i didn't get a good look at it. We have them in our garden as well. We also have hops growing on our fence every year and i love the privacy it gives us in the back. I woner if that might be something you could plant by your furniture piece. I dont know if it does well in shade and we have to keep ours in check as it can grow alit, but we just hang it over the fence and it grows and climbs like crazy. It regrows from the ground every year, but its very big now in June. Have a great day!

Hi Brooke. Well we finally got 4” of rain Wed and Thurs from the storm in Gulf. I caught rainwater to use for my plants and the grass in the ranch is perking up so the cattle are happy. Also the rain brought some relief from heat. The last 4 days were 72 at night and 88 in day. Made it nice for sitting on deck watching the clouds and rain.
I love the tops you bought. I too purchased a black one and a white one. They’ll work year round. Your son in law sounds like he’s a keeper. I have a wonderful daughter in law who’s always doing things for me. I’m lucky she, my son and the grandkids live next door to me on the ranch. Isn’t it great to have girlfriends we can spend time with whether it’s thrifting or just sharing some iced tea? One friend who lives in my town I’ve been friends with since we were 6 in first grade. We’re both widows and love checking out nurseries and thrift stores. My other friends I enjoy doing things with have been friends over 20 yrs and one male friend 40 yrs. 💗

Well, I’m glad you finally got rain. We are in a heat wave right now, but it rained this morning really hard for like three minutes but enough to give everything a little drink to save until later today working on the front part of my garden. Mama Brooke, the columbine plant flowers make seed heads and after they dry you can spread the seeds to get more plants. After it goes to seed you can cut it back and get another bloom of flowers. Happy Planting

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F
1/4 CUP BUTTER SOFT
1/2 CUP BROWN SUCAR 1/4 CUP WHITE
2 ROOM TEMPERATURE ECCS
1 1/2 CUP FLOUR
1 TEASPOON BACKING SODA
112 TEASP VANILLA EXTRACT
PINCH OF SALT
3 TO 4 VERY RIPE BANANAS
BAKE FOR 55 MINUTES

Personally, I do not like Virginia Creepers! They are a magnet to Japanese beetles and can be destroyed in short order by them . They are also very invasive and I do not find the vine very attractive .
That all depends where you live. They definitely not invasive in Toronto can’t even hardly find them, but we have very harsh winters so not all plants are invasive all over the world certain areas . it’s not considered invasive in Toronto.Have a beautiful day. 🍃🌸🩷🩷
