- Going to thrifty Nalley there’s four or five thrift stores in a row. Let’s see what we find. Still looking for stuff for a project and looking for a frame for my picture and always got my eyes out for whatever is pretty princess.

Hi Brooke, you are gonna love those Painted Ferns once they start spreading their beauty over the garden. Your garden is really doing well. Japanese painted ferns are a beautiful and tough plant. They spread a lot once they’re established. I love the thrift shop that is color coded. The frog prince is really cute❤️. Shopping is very tiring when you do it for a long time.😊. The lamp your subscriber sent is beautiful. How sweet of her. Have a good rest of the week. I’ll look around for a little bit, but if I don’t find anything, I’m just gonna put it in the gold frame that I have I’m not searching for the next year for this. The rain did pounce down on your garden but your pretty flowers all got a good drink. You do have a gift in growing plants & flowers. I do really like the pink on your pillows on the porch. So many pretty things at the store, I liked the linens & some of the very pretty plates. The foot massage sounded very good.

It’s too bad you do not have the space for a small greenhouse. When you’re columbines start to seed in the next couple years, you will have them everywhere. They are probably one of my favorite flowers for the spring. It’s looking good. I hope it comes together the way that you want.

The hydrangeas are huge and bountiful this summer in Eastern Ontario. Thanks for explaining that it was because of the mild winter. I had no idea.

I live in Oregon and I have quite a few ferns and they live through the winter even in the coldest periods. Their roots are strong and will survive. Their leaves will turn brown and you will think they are dead, but, they are not. I cut all of the fronds/leaves back to where the fern base is and they grow back very quickly and beautifully. Rich and full. But, you must, and I can't say this enough, water ferns A LOT. Oh, and one more thing, you must feed/fertilize them and other plants too, at least once a year or season. This is where you get your beautiful flowers from.❤❤❤
I’ve never had one return. I’ve had the ostrich return, but never the Boston. I guess it all depends on your zone. I’ve never been that lucky.
The silver tea service you liked was lovely and I don't believe that the sugar bowl was missing a cover--they don't all have covers.
Well that particular one did it was totally missing the lid ,I googled it was very beautiful. I would’ve bought it. I just wanted the full piece not very often to find them in that good shape.

I had that Santa picture. I bought it at a grocery store in the early 1990s and then I got rid of it. I guess after my daughter didn’t believe in Santa anymore I just love all the children though.

Good morning. Brooke. Its a beautiful morning 🌄 here. Overcast. We've been in a heatwave supposed rain here this Thursday coming. 🎉 we sure need the 🌧. The 🍒 on our tree never last. All the birds and squirrels eat them before they get ripe. 😅 i keep thinking 🤔 about what your going to put on that bare spot now hmmm. Whatever you choose i know will be beautiful. We had a few trees taken out, also. They were way to big. Now its bare. Were thinking about what to put there also. Maybe go to the bird Habitat nursery garden we have here and see what's a native tree to our environment . Which will make for easy care. 😊 i really love your ferns. We bought 2 and i want to go get 2 more. There doing wonderful. I also got a potato vine. Its growing very quickly Wow taking off. We put it againt our gazebo. What is only used for plant's now. The wind ripped the material right off. And it was worn. 😅 what size is the picture for the flamingo ? My hubby and i use to get picture frames at Michael's for 60% off it was really cheap i remember and it looked quality 👌 😉. I enjoyed the video this morning. I had my coffee and a muffin, while watching . Im going to a smaller thrift store today. There having everything in the store $1.00 . They want to clear it right out for there fall inventory. 🍃 🍂 🍁 🍃 🍂 our leaves have been falling off for about 2 weeks already. I've seen silver tea sets with the sugars with and without lids. If you look at sugar bowl it will have a smoothed interior lip for the lid to sit into. I was told this by an antique dealer once when I was checking out sets.
Yeah, I googled the site and the store did come with one. I know some come without, but this one actually came with a lid. I found the whole set from the maker on the bottom.

Thank you for sharing your garden with us! Love it! Maybe a cinnamon fern would look nice in your garden, they get 2-5ft high and 2-3ft wide and they grow upright. Maybe one of those would work where you just removed your tree. I still vote for a hydrangea in that space, to me hydrangea are so romantic, pretty princess. Have a nice week!
I’ve never seen a cinnamon fern. Is it shade as well? Sounds lovely. I think I’m gonna pass on the hydrangea because it’s just so many in my neighbourhood gonna do something. The spot that you have that gets some sun you can put a Peony there. I know how much you love them. I just got one from Lowes that is shade and partial sun.

The female cardinal is gorgeous, she's an olive green with a muted red head. The reason the female is not as striking as the male is because that's nature's way of protecting her and her babies. Camo! The males are striking to attract the females.

I don’t have any problems. I took it off because it’s only 2 feet wide. I run up and down them all day maybe in my 80s I’ll have to move downstairs to the main floor for now. I’m good.

When you picked up that plate at 17:39 showing the coronation of King George VI in 1937, I thought “that’s probably worth big bucks.” I was wrong. The going rate seems to be around $10.00 and the sticker price at the thrift store is $9.99.

Oh, that’s not coming to the fall and hopefully it turns out well and I might do a Ralph Christmas too. If the fall one goes well, I can recycle some of the things I’m gathering into that too love always have a beautiful day. Oh, I haven’t seen her since April. I believe she’s met some other friends on the other side of town and preoccupied, which is all good. We only met online anyways we were just Thrifting buddies maybe will run into each other again who knows.

@@mamabrooke Good morning! I'm not sure about sales at the thrift stores. We have several here around me. But, I work all of the time and don't get the chance to go very often. I haven't seen a Salvation Army in several years. Not sure if they even exist anymore here in the states. I have to drive about an hour to a Goodwill. Which all thrift stores have jacked up their prices so that you can go elsewhere and purchase it for around the same price new. I am going out to shop today. Crop the legs close to the feet then line them up and mod podge them down, kinda like lining up wallpaper

Great video!!! I have a question about your Cafe curtain for your back door. Did you consider doing a valance at the top of the door, just on the door, so that you could display the cute frog motif clearly, that is stretched out. And then hang the striped part of the curtain on the rod at the midpoint of the door downwards. That way it wouldn't block too much light from your pantry or the view of your lovely terrace garden AND the frog motif would be clearly visible. Otherwise you won't see the frogged motif unless the curtain is closed and covering your window and light... My suggestion would involve cutting the panel into two pieces to separate the fragile section to allow you to apply it over a valance and attach valance at top of door. Alternatively you could make valance as I have suggested, but with about a 2-3 inch return on either end and hang the striped curtain from the rod under the valance so that it hangs down to the bottom of the door window -- it would, in this case be into sections hanging g straight down on the right and left sides of the door window and would only block the view and light if/when u pulled the two panels closed to/at the centre of the window. Otherwise when open, the two striped panels would just hang neatly on either side of the window in the door. Just good for thought...
I was trying to block some of the light because it gets really hot in there and I’m very happy the way the curtains turned out. I didn’t really want the actual café halfway mark because the sun is very intense there. It’s like a 30Celsius on a good day and pantry not good for food now it’s down to 23 just a curtain.
Everything looks beautiful in your garden, We are a zone 5 here in Wisconsin, the south is a 3 I think.

I finally found an affordable crane pillow cover, the ones I wanted were all over 70 bucks, Im not paying that, this one was 24 so that made me happy, I will all the heavy gold fringe later.
What I do if I find a frame that is too wide is I put foil Christmas wrapping paper behind, I have a roll of a beautiful green and all my pics have that on the edges so they all match plus it gives it a little sheen which I like. I also have a beautiful pink and another of different blues. My prints come from Australia so Im not cutting those down. Id rather buy bigger frame and add pretty foil paper behind❤
That was a gorgeous silver set, what do you think happened to the sugar dish cover? I wonder about stuff like that, sometimes it gets packed in different boxes, and put out in different isles. Well, I’m in zone six we do have pretty harsh winters though yes I’ve seen the paper behind but with this it’s not an expensive print. It’s on a piece of canvas so it’s a little touching go. I think it needs to fit it frame or mad at one. I don’t even think it I want a mat on it but anyways it’ll come when it comes. I’ll get there no great rush no emergency. I have no clue about the sugar covered lid. I believe you’re right. It might’ve been in another box with some other stuff. A lot of people are saying they don’t come with it at this one I know actually did I’ve seen them without I like it with I like the sugar up or can I say everyone has the preference right have a beautiful day thanks for stopping in. Yes, some don’t. I understand that but this one did ,my mother had one without it to, but I like it with the lid and that one did I have a lid because I googled it in the store .
